Guest Jupiter Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Lets face it. Tetsuro could have easily become the Guyver at the beginning of the manga, or the 2005 anime rather than Sho. They were both handling the unit and when they were fighting over it, Tetsuro threw it into Sho's arms as it activated. My question in this topic is. Would things have turned out better or worse had Tetsuro become a Guyver ? Tetsuro is a really smart and motivated character. I believe both Tetsuro and Sho are equally strong in their own way. Tetsuro has strong words and a lot of positive influence over his friends. In fact, we almost never hear anything about Tetsuro even among fans here in the forum. Sometimes it even takes a best friend to push you even great heights. Wouldn't Sho be more scared of a zoanoid attack without the Unit just like Tetsuro? I like him a lot. Without him, Sho would not have become as motivated or as strong with out him. I'm sure Sho would still beat Cronos, but he I think its Tetsuro and Mizuki that give Sho hope to keep fighting. He would even risk his life as Sho. So would Tetsuro do or would have done better as a Guyver rather than Sho? Or would the two be equal? Quote
*V Guyver Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 It would of been interesting to see it. But I'm not sure if we would of survived any better. Though it would of been awesome if GMII intact had landed near him as well. Both of them getting units. (A fan can dream) The issue with Tetsuro becoming a guyver is in three areas. One, Chubby Guyver, just seems out of place. Second, Tetsuro is shown to be have his own flaws, like willingly thinking Chronos won't do something, and suffer for it. Also, he wouldn't have someone other than Sho helping him, and Sho would probably of just been killed off. In other words Tetsuro would not have any of the critical support like he was for Sho. What would Sho of contributed other than a male Mizuki? Actually, Sho's death would of become is biggest motive for destroying Chronos, and he wouldn't of allied with Guyver III as easily. Quote

I agree with you, V Guyver; Tetsuro never seemed to get along with Agito, It seemed that it still bothered him that Agito was with Cronos for a while and never told neither him or Sho that he was Guyver 3. Mizuki was the only reason he didn't keep bickering at Agito because he knew she liked him and it would have caused them to fight if he kept it up. Like at Relic's Point, she told him to leave Agito alone. Also even though Agito freed them after they were captured, Tetsuro was very skeptical the entire time. I noticed during the anime that the two, Agito and Tetsu, kept their distance from one another. They hardly said a word to each other. Also Tetsuro was very skeptical about Murakami as well, and it took him some time to trust him until Murakami saved them from the Hyper Zoanoid Team 5 and the Enzyme 2's. Tetsuro wouldn't be a cool looking Guyver, but he'd still be tough, he'd just have a nervous break down or melt down if Sho died( for example Enzyme 1 killing Sho in front of him). Quote
*V Guyver Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Those are my thoughts too. He does have two advantages over Sho though, He's brighter and he always won a brawl or argument against Sho. He'd at least be a better Guyver in terms of starting combat training. He'd still be outclassed by Lisker. Heck, what worries me the most is if he had fought Lisker, he might of actually of been captured by Lisker if he were the Guyver, I keep thinking back, that Sho would end up getting his arm bitten off in that warehouse scene. Guest Jupiter Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I honestly thought Tetsuro would have made a great Guyver, had he become one. I think he's good with strategic thinking and planning where in area's Sho doesn't always have a plan. In my opinion. The reason I think why Yoshiki Takaya didn't give Tetsuro a Guyver unit was because he'd be over powered with one because he's already too smart for his own good. He'd have brains and brawn to work with, which would make him a more efficient fighter. But in Yoshiki's universe; his characters always have a weakness. In Tetsuro's case, he has no powers. It also could very well be that Yoshiki never considered Tetsuro to ever have powers period. Quote

river_chaos Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I think Tetsuro is more fluffy than husky....and it looks like he gained more of a belly over the years since the first ten volumes, or is that just me. ....... I don't think I want to know how the Mega Smasher would look on a Guyver Tetsuro. Quote
