Guest Jupiter Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Ah I get it. Its like Vanilla Sky. ( I'm not a fan of Evangelion, so its likely I won't look at it. I really hated that anime.) Quote
*Chernaudi Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Or self-fulfilling prophecy. IE, if you think negatively, negative stuff will happen, think positively, positive stuff will happen. A lot of things that happen are coincidence, but often times, if one says that something will be bad, they're setting themselves up for something to be bad, and the opposite can be true. I'd rather be surprised at times, but then again, especially if it's bad, I don't like surprises, so maybe I'm not the best one to say much on the subject, though there's been things that I though would suck that turned out to be pretty good, and stuff I hoped would be good that were better than I expected. *guyverfan Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 even if guyver was to come to an end, this site would still operate and members would grow.... why? because different people of different ages are constantly rediscovering guyver and their search for anime and manga will lead them here. these new past translated chapters and future ones will never be released openly, so yuki will still be busy answering peoples questions about how to preorder the volumes for along time to come yet. elvis died in the 70's, yet how many people do you know or see who wear elvis tshirts and own elvis albums, who were born in the 80's and 90's? (i know, i've just compared guyver with elvis, but in the anime and magna world, guyver is up there with the best.) anyone know how big of a market guyver is in japan and china alone, most probably bigger than the population of australia! and for the rest of us already here, we would always be here, some interacting, some not. cause guyver is one of our passions. for example, look at yourself jupiter, you've said in short that basically you use to be a guyver fan but got bored and lost your passion and interest for it many years ago. yet, here you are today, an active contributing member. as for guyver anime, both out of control and the ova were really just stand alone since they branched off slightly from the original story. the 2005 version was the only series which followed the manga. and why there hasn't been a series2 could probably be due to ADV films closing down in 2009. i truely believe that if a new series was to be made, that it would continue from the 2005 series. 1 Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I would hope if they made another Guyver anime that it wouldn't be a repeat. But if they make another one, I'd hope its based on something else, like what season two would have been based on. You make a great point. People would still love the series...... whether Yoshiki passed away or quit prior to it being completed. I'm sure there is manga out there where the artist died or quit before it was completed. I agree that it would still be loved and supported by fans a like no matter what. Yes, I still like the guyver. I still enjoy. That hasn't changed. I still watch it every now and than. Its better than other kinds of anime. I enjoy the characters and the story and how it goes in deph about the units, zoanoids, zoalords and the story is good. I have not abandoned it, just put it away until I my interests fully shift back to it.I watched it this last month in a long time. I have put a lot of other shows and series on hiatus. I like to explore my options. Like Arrow, I love the show, but season 2 isn't out on dvd yet, so there fore I have put the show on my list of hiatus until season 2 comes out. I just move onwards to something else. I believe most people do until something happens or if they are in the mood for it. I would welcome the idea of a new guyver series. It'd give me something to look forward to. 2 Quote
*ScottmanXIII Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I just hope we don't get a cop out ending like 3x3eyes. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Too be honest, I don't see Archenphel dying at the end of the Guyver manga at all. My reasons thinking of this is because after Richard Guyot threw him into the Quasi Black Hole and tried to assassinate him and killed Murakami. He became more paranoid, even in the manga he Imakarum as his personal guard dog, even though he's now a full fledged zoalord re optimized with Richard Guyots original zoacrystal. Archenphel feels his own establishment has turned on him and consists of more than one rebel zoalord. He also is aware that someone is going around killing the other zoalords. So I feel that he is rethinking his priorities. I think his dream of going out to meet the Advents/creators may be crumbling, I'm not entirely sure as he hasn't mentioned it in the manga. He's just paranoid. However, I don't see Sho the type to kill him. If Sho wanted all of the zoalords dead, he and Aptom would have killed Sin. But they're more concerned about Apollon. So its kind of a two way street. My point being, I don't see Archenphel getting picked off. He's not a bad person, he's just made some really bad decisions. Quote
lost unit Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 We might get another artist to work along Yoshiki Takaya to eventually take over adding more twists to the guyver universe. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I wonder how excited everyone would be if Funimation or some other company produced a new Guyver Anime Series that weren't strictly along with the anime, but had filler episodes. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I think that the only way Alky would die is if he came after Sho and his. Sho doesn't go looking for trouble. He's content to be left alone. But cronus only hurts themselves when ever they attack Sho. Agito if the only Guyver who is proactively against cronus. So if alt goes after Sho for his unit, i can see Alky dying as a result. Quote

Friedrich Purgstal ( killed by the rebel zoalords )came after Sho in the Gigantic and Sho didn't kill him, same with Cabral Khan ( killed by Aptom) and Richard Guyot ( subdued by Archenphel) However I'm sure Sho would have had Cabral not escaped or his fight with Friedrich not been interrupted by the rebel zoalords. I just don't think fate deemed it necessary. Sho doesn't kill anyone unless he absolutely doesn't have a choice which he hasn't even offed a zoalord yet. Seems the zoalords are doing a fine job of killing eachother as it is. Guyver 3 will try to kill Archenphel before Sho gets around to doing it. Sho doesn't like to hurt people unless they make a move against his friends. However its very possible that Archenphel will get killed by a Gigantic Exceed. If Sho and Agito can kill his generals with the gigantic. Than Archenphel shouldn't be that much harder to kill if Sho activates the exceed mode. Archenphel is weaker when he's tired and I doubt he has enough energy to hold off against Sho or Agito for very long. I have no doubts right now from reading the manga. That Archenphel is very afraid for his life. He needs Murakami to protect him while he sleeps if another zoalord like Richard Guyot tries an attempt on his life. I think that he's afraid the other rebel zoalords will try to kill him while he's asleep. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Jupiter.... You just agreed with my point. Sho will kill as a defensive measure.... I don't get your post, are you agreeing with me, trying to correct me... I'm not sure sure what you mean. Quote

I was over analyzing the subject. Sorry, mate. Quote
