*PrimalNemesis Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 What is the Advocacy's opinion about this up and coming ranger series? Is anyone looking forward to it? Or are you hating it? Quote
LordSpleach Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I tried watch Samurai once but fell out quickly when I saw how bland it was. I doubt Megaforce will improve. Quote
*PrimalNemesis Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 I do not really care about the main cast. I highly doubt we will actually see any phenomenal acting on their part. I am more interested in who will return from past ranger series. I am really hoping for a MMPR reunion, but you never really know who will be able to make it. I am sure some of the original ranger cast probably just wants to move on with their lives. And like the last series the toys are absolute crap. Also, don't get me wrong. I am not bashing Megaforce just yet. I am really hoping that this series will be killer! Cross your fingers everyone! Quote
odin Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 It did not do it for me,neither did samurai for 2 reasons, I grew up with mighty morphin, loved the stories and how in school everybody wanted to take a role as a ranger, ( always picked red over green who is always the more popular one ) I did not know about Super Sentai until I started participating here in the forum (another that I'm grateful for in this forum) and when I got up to speed on what super sentai is I noticed at how very different they are, yeah...PR had the sentai fight footage but the rest was completely original which comes to my problem with the new saban PR it has lost it's identity the moment it wanted to be "closer" to the original material, that is not what power rangers is, I got turned off by samurai when I saw the same thing happening on from shinkenger scene to scene, sure they did the super samurai thing but honestly it was a little too late, I know it is just a kids show but so it was 20 years ago so that it is no excuse for them to be so lazy with the story, I mean with the cast that they used in samurai I came up with 20 different story plots at the top of my head that where better than the ones used in the show. All this laziness is going to end badly for them, they are even having trouble now trying to do their 20th anniversary which is supposed to be super megaforce where they use the Gokaiger suits, and they have planed to bring a huge cast of old rangers for cameos like they did in gokaiger, the problem? they are failing at it hard, they are sending very vague e-mail invitations to the old rangers and supposedly they will not even be payed that well, some of the actors say it is not even minimum wage, and I think about 10 rangers already declined (including David Yost, the original blue ranger) because of this since it will be a huge loss for them and the e-mail was just too vague not even addressing a specific person personally. The only one that I know will probably go to this anniversary is JDF cause he has mentioned a lot of times that saban only needs to ask and he will appear, heck he said he would do it for free since he only cares about is making the fans happy. what are your thoughts on this Super mega Force deal? Quote
LordSpleach Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I hear Jason David Frank will not go because the scheduling conflicts with a martial arts event that he has/wants to go to. Quote
odin Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) well apparently that is not the case, according to an article I just read in Jefusion JDF has been confirmed to appear in Super Megaforce along with the following people: Danny Slavin - Leo/Galaxy Red Melody Perkins - Karone/Galaxy Pink II Reggie Rolle - Damon/Galaxy Green Selwyn Ward - T.J./Red Turbo Ranger II Sean Cw Johnson - Carter/Red Lightspeed Ranger Jason Faunt - Wes/ Red Timeforce Ranger Hector David Jr - Mike/Green Samurai Ranger Brittany Pirtle - Emily/Yellow Samurai Ranger Edited May 14, 2013 by odin Quote
Aether Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 well thats still not great seeing as there is probably 10 times that amount who have acted as rangers in 20 years of shows...i have no plans to watch this anyway really, but what i will say is that i feel sorry for Ranger fans having to have the anniversary show based off Goseiger - they should have twisted Bandai's arm and got Kyoryuger instead - it would have made a good thing having the first dinosaur based and the latest anniversary one aswell... anyway, too bad. odin Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 in other news jefusion posted an article saying that jason simth - Casey/Red Tiger ranger from Jungle fury had written a few episodes for megaforce, that is pretty interesting, he has also posted on his twitter that he is watching Go-Busters and Kyoryuger so who knows? maybe those series will influence his writing for the episode. DekaRed Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 having see a few trailers of this, it appears they are mixing goseiger and gokaiger. the megaforce suits are obviously goseiger (for now) but in episode one the red ranger has a dream about the legendary war and the footage is from ep 1 of gokaiger Quote
DekaRed Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 hmm, it seems it will be two seasons again, megaforce, and super megaforce. while i initially believed this would happen i thought they would just upgrade from goseiger to gokaiger. Toku Warrior Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Hey guys. I guess those who have been keeping up with the rumors have heard that Super Megaforce will be having a 20 yr reunion with 10 past Rangers. And, of course, one of the most well beloved Rangers of all will make his grand entrance after more than 5 years away from the spandex....Jason David Frank. And he will be reprising his role as BOTH the Green and White Rangers. Other past Rangers like a couple Samurai Rangers, Carter (Light Speed Red), Leo (Lost Galaxy Red), Cassie (Space Pink) and T.J. (Turbo Red / Space Blue) will also appear. With this topic, I bring images. Well, mostly Tommy images but that's because his fan page has tons of them. There's also speculation that the American version of the Gokaigers will also make their debut as well. I have to admit, as old as he's gotten, he still looks badass in the Green Ranger suit. And some more images. Quote
