Hi everyone.

 

Things are a lot more pleasant where I'm at right now.  It's cooler, not stormy, and I have Social Security money coming in tomorrow.

 

I'll be looking up some stuff, doing some gaming and possibly fan fic.  I'll be posting more already completed chapters for my story soon as well.

 

Other than that, I don't have much going on today. So far, I've given grandma her breakfast and such with the morning routine.

I have some stuff to finish up later.  I got my groceries today and it'll be enough, aside from some minor stuff, to last me for a while.  Got some pretty good stuff, too.

 

My PC game's new mode turns out to be a ball to play, aside from only being able to save once per stage and the game can crash often.  But there, its old design and loading screen stuff does work in it's favor.

 

The Le Mans test is this weekend, and there's an IMSA race I'd like to watch tomorrow.  Aside from that, I had a good breakfast from Burger King and I have a couple of things to do gaming-wise today.

Hi everyone.

 

I fed and helped grandma this morning, got some gaming in, and now I'm getting ready to watch an IMSA race on TV in about an hour or so.  I'll be getting offline for that, but I'll be back after the race is over and I do a couple of things with grandma.

 

Other than that, I don't really have any plans.  Some gaming, looking up stuff, fan fic, the usual stuff, mostly.  The Le Mans test day is tomorrow and my parents will be out tomorrow, too.

My grandma is 83 and she's got quite a few health problems.  She can move around (not very well), but she can't do a lot of things by herself like she used to just a few years ago.  She's got diabetes and bad arthritis primarily.

I cleaned up some stuff around the house and did the morning routine with grandma. 

 

My parents will be out later and my little brother will be leaving for a while to help my father with putting up shingles at my parent's home.  Lots of cool stuff happening today.  Audi already are fastest at the Le Mans test and lead session 1 by a considerable margin and seem to be having a pretty good test.

 

I'll be looking up some stuff this morning and keeping tabs on the NASCAR race today, and tonight I'll hopefully be working on some gaming, looking up some Audi stuff and fan fic.

 

I actually feel kinda giddy and energetic right now, hopefully that'll help me with tonight's plans.

Hi everyone.

 

I'm up early this morning.  Last night I got some pretty good sleep, thanks to my fan that I'll be taking to bed with me until we get the AC installed in our room. 

 

Audi had a good test at LM yesterday.  Lead the morning session and set the third best time in the combined table for the sessions.

 

Today I'll be looking up some stuff, watching some videos, and trying to do some gaming and fan fic work.  Not to mention staying cool in such a humid environment.

Just woke up and sorta feel like crap.  I'm feeling a bit better than I was when I got up, but I still feel wonky. 

 

I was typing something earlier, and I did think about that I love writing, even though, aside from the middle of this month until Sept, I'll won't be doing a ton of it probably, or at least not as much as I want to, until like Nov or Dec, especially if I head back to work soon.  And this is in spite of being like the worst typist in the world--I only learned in High School and I didn't get an actual computer until after I graduated. 

 

I was also just thinking of the fact of how I write stuff, be it fan fic or explaining stuff in my posts.  I've associated with women most of my life and I've also been highly inquisitive most of my life as well.  And when women do take an interest in stuff that I'm interested in, I do feel that I need to explain stuff in detail.  Not really "dumb down" stuff, because I do believe and know that women are highly intelligent and logical, but I do feel that I have to explain stuff in detail, be it a scene or character in my fan fic, or stuff on cars or aircraft of even firearms.  Mostly because that's how I understand things when I don't have a visual.  I need details and things to be explained.  So it can be said that I "think like a woman" when I write, and if people say that about me, I don't take offense to that.

 

That does mean, though, that Twitter is pretty damn useless to me.  140 characters is a helluva small space for me to express myself.  That's why I spend a lot of time on Facebook where I can do that type of thing without the space consideration.

 

I just kinda wanted to say that stuff above because I was thinking about it and such.

I don't feel as horrible as I did last night, though I still feel a bit out of it. 

 

I'm gonna try and look some stuff up this morning and see where my day takes me.  I think it's the heat and humidity getting to me.  That stuff often doesn't make me feel well.  But hopefully my day will go better than yesterday, because I was just spent most of the day.

That doe seem to be the pattern here.  Usually around the time a new Guyver chapter comes out, activity peaks.  But the forum this weekend was kinda slow.  Saturday was good, but Sunday and Monday were kinda slow.

 

It seems that people are more active during the week than on weekends.  That's the opposite of most forums I go to, where activity peaks on weekends.  I don't know why that is on here.

Not really.  It's seemed to be that way off and on for a while.  It's counter intuitive, since normally people have more free time on their weekends, but I guess that maybe people come on here during the week on their free time to either blow off steam or as a distraction from work.

I do feel a bit better today, but it's also supposed to be stormy today for sure.  Nothing too bad here, but they're calling for a derecho in southern Indiana, southern Illinois, southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky today. 

 

I'll be trying to look some stuff up today and figure out what I want to eat for dinner later tonight.  I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for my anxiety stuff.  But other than that, I don't expect today to be too busy.

Well, it's clouding up now and rain is forecast for this afternoon.

I wonder what Shizu and/or Natsuki would make of NASCAR on FOX's broadcast? I already have an idea what Shizu would say:

"I know that the commentators' job is to help with the entertainment factor. But with how that works on FOX for NASCAR races, a bit of the message and purpose is lost. That's especially lost when said commentary is about as dull as s***! This doesn't make me feel entertained, it makes me feel like going to f***ing sleep!"

And things won't get much better from there. I'm posting that because of some hubub over at a motorsport board talking about how NASCAR's TV ratings have been down all year, and I wanted to provide a Guyver character's take on it. And the views of Shizu are probably some of the nicer ones out there--Agito's probably won't be fit for human consumption.

Hi everyone.

 

I'm getting ready for my doctor's appointment later today.  This will probably not result in any changes for my medication, since the stuff I'm on is working petty well. 

 

I'll also be picking up a library book on my way there, about barn owls.  Of course, it should be stated that one of my other favorite creatures, the kitteah, (AKA, house cat) is a major predator of barn owls.  Some cats are even known as barn cats (outdoor cats that spend most of their time outside in barns and such), and feed on the same rodents as barn owls.  Sorta like most of the cats we currently own, since some of them hunt mice and spend much of their time outside when it's warm. 

 

I'll be picking up a pizza on the way home and getting some stuff from Walmart.  Other than that, I have the usual planned--looking up stuff, gaming and fan fic if I get a chance to work on it.

I loved the pizza I brought home and now I'm looking some stuff up then I'll be playing on the PS2/GT4 for a while.  Later on I'll be posting some stuff in automotive if anyone wants to check it out.  One of which is a change to the Le Mans track where the curbing has been altered to almost as it was last year.

Slept in last night, and got some good sleep.  I plan on looking some stuff up today, doing some gaming, having chicken nachos and watching F1 practice tonight.  Aside from that, I don't have a whole lot planned for today.

 

@Jupiter:  I was a Little Ceasars $5 pizza with marinara dipping sauce.  I'm not much for watching a lot of violent movies, though I'm a big fan of Guyver and World War II stuff.  However, I do love ancient documentaries that air on like the History Channel and Science Channel.  I remember watching some about Pompeii not very long ago that I liked

I'm waiting for my parents to show up with groceries and I have a few things that I'd like to show my mom.  Today is rainy and humid, but not oppressively since it's cool out. 

 

I slept in last night and I rushed to get some dishes done today and I have some gaming stuff that I'd like to do later today, as well as working on fan fic.  Looking forward to what my mom will be bringing out, and her looking at our new kittens.

I have plans to do some gaming, possibly work on fan fic and finish off my Audi stuff today.  I'm getting ready to help my grandma with some stuff this morning, because she just got up.  Today is tech inspection day 2 at Le Mans and Audi should have their turn for inspection today, and hopefully some photos will come out later.

 

Other than that, it's just the normal stuff to me today.  Kitties are still doing well and my mom things that our two oldest kittens will be long haired.

Hi everyone.

 

First off, I have some good news.  As soon as next week, I'll be going back to work.  It'll be my old front desk job for a couple of weeks or so then my new scanning job will start.  So I'm pretty happy about that.

 

As for my plans today, aside from some grocery shopping, I plan on finishing looking up some stuff and doing some gaming and making myself some chicken for dinner at some point tonight.

 

I also have like the weirdest cat.  It usually either sleeps on a tractor that we have in the front yard.  I mean an old, huge farm tractor.  And I've seen him climb on and lay on the roof of my house, too.

 

But the fact that I'm heading back to work is the big thing.

 

@Jupiter:  Good luck on the bird   Hope your wife doesn't get too ticked.

Actually, I don't know about the scanning job.  The front desk will be three days a week, two hours a day, but that's just a hold over until the scanning job comes online, which will be part time and 20-25 hours a week. But I don't know the exact schedule for that job yet.

Sorry for being late, but early in practice for Le Mans this morning, there was a massive accident and it took a while to get news on driver condition.  The #1 Audi was totaled in a massive accident in the Porsche Curves.  The car and surrounding barriers were totaled, though thankfully driver Loic Duval walked away without serious injuries, and is alert and talking in the medical center.  Apparently, he'll stay overnight in a local hospital for observation, but Loic's damn lucky seeing the state of his Audi R18:

As for Audi's plans, they're hoping that Loic will be cleared to drive, but they have a reserve driver to replace him if he's deemed unfit to drive or feels he needs to withdraw from the event as a driver.  A spare chassis is being readied and will turn a wheel in anger in tomorrow's practice sessions.  The two other cars will continue in tonight's practices.

 

As for my plans, I have some stuff to finish up and then I'll be taking a nap.  Then it's more of the usual as far as my day's concerned

Hi everyone.

 

Follow up from yesterday, Loic Duval is fine after his accident aside from some minor cuts and bruises, though he's sitting out the rest of the weekend on the advice of doctors from Audi Sport and the ACO.  He'll be replaced for the rest of the weekend by Marc Gene, a former LM winner who has driven for Audi since 2012 with success.

As for me, I don't have too much planned for today.  Mostly looking up some stuff, gaming, and making some dinner, which tonight might be chicken nachos.  I finally made my shake and bake chicken last night and it turned out pretty good.  Other than that, I only have to endure one more day--until Sunday--of humidity and/or heat.  And I'll try and get a hold of my mom and let her know about my returning to work.
