Aether Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) i have one of the raws of these tv series features including Takaya speaking, im sure advocay was going to subtitle it at one point but it didnt end up being done, it was quite a while ago. the one i got from here that was going to be subbed was about 15 min, but it would be good to just get Takaya's bit subbed though. If you would like to have the Guyver Advocacy group to directly translate the Guyver TV series interview of Yoshiki Takaya, the group may safely be able to provide a direct translation on the video, including on any of the other related promotional videos available on the Guyver Solution Web site. However, as it was discussed in another thread, the Guyver Advocacy group would not be able to claim copyrights on its direct translations, if this was to occur. The title of being the translator of the video can be credited to the Guyver Advocacy group. Quote

You are wrong. http://www.cblesius.co.uk/articles/CopyrightAndTheTranslator-WhoOwnsYourTranslations.html please do not start to turn multiple threads into a legal debate. it's enough that we have two already. it is making the site ugly. I will post this link in the spectrum thread so do not reply to it here. Aether, I would love to take a look at that video! I find the idea of translating from audio, quite exciting! 1 Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I find the idea of translating from audio, quite exciting! Yeah; it seems like it'd be a heck of a lot more involved than doing a text translation; text you can at least have in front of you to reference. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 you're not wrong. I just listened to it. damn, they talk fast. They seem to be talking about alien and predator, perhaps some comparisons, maybe fan comparisons. but he talks about the contents being long. I don't know if that refers to the contents of the unit or the contents of the show.next part... he's talking about the beginnings and his own influences. he mentions space sheriff and metal hero. I have no idea what they are talking about next. he says something about writer, and movie and anime.by the way, I don't mean movie as in feature movie, I mean film/animation/show/movie. it's non specific use of teh word.next part, I believe he is talking about his working relationship with akiyama.next part, I think he is talking about how the story differs between manga and animation. something about our humanity and how it relates to becoming more powerful. nah, I'm struggling with this. can't really use a dictionary on spoken words. Metal Hero was a 80's trend back when Guyver was being made. I believe the Guyver manga prototype/predecessor was not biological at all, it was a more cybernetic-armor manga. Metal Sheriff was one of those live action toketsu series, and it was important here to the USA as VR Troopers. I wonder if he mentioned Skull Man. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013
I probably would have recognised that. I don't think he mentioned it.
Quote
