*YoungGuyver Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Many of us refer to the OVA for saying the Guyver feeds off the host for energy, but the VDF that Takaya wrote explains so much of the energy systems as being based on the gravity controller. Is it possible to get an accurate translation of that part of the anime, because it always gets us into a tizzy. Guyot's comment about the host's energy being a limiting factor always throws us off. What is he exactly saying word for word in Japanese? Quote
Aether Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) i cant remember the specific speech you are refrencing about Guyot, but maybe he was refering to the fact that he thought the Guyver would be more powerful if it was hosted by a Zoalord rather than a normal human?? To be honest i cant remember hearing the Guyver feeds off the host for energy. i thought that the Guyver was powered by energy from the boost dimension? and like you said that power is drawn in by the gravity controller. according to the VDF, when the Armour appears in this dimension it crosses through a wormhole creating the explosive sphere, so it sounds like the gravity controller acts like some kind of mini wormhole that constantly syphons energy from the BD into the guyver. metaphorically speaking maybe its like the Guyver's 'heart' pumping boost dimension energy 'blood' throughout the Guyver. *Jess♥ Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I'd be interested in taking up this challenge. I don't currently have the DVDs though so I'd need somebody to provide an appropriate clip. Quote
Guyver0 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Actually I think the gravitational forces and energy that is created from the gravity controller is what essentially powers the armor, but in order to continue producing it or syphoning it from surrounding elements it utilizes the host's energy to do it. Much like us using food as an energy source to keep us going. Quote
