river_chaos Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Well, I finally figured out what was wrong with me and deviantArt: my damn wireless modum is going out. Really now...? It has to do this when we don't have the money to replace it? Did we doe something in the past and Karma decides to come and bite us in the @$$ now? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 it's not karma when you done nothing wrong. its a challenge to keep you alert. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) Yeah, I guess so. Still, it would suck if the internet went out because my family gets a majority of news via the web. We cut off sattilite TV because of the bill and none of us watches it lately. Edit: Before I forget, I've got Ch20 of my fanfic done. I'm going over it now and revising some parts. If you have any suggestions, feel free to say (or post) them. Note: I will be adding stuff to it. Ch20.htm Edited January 6, 2011 by river_chaos Quote
LordSpleach Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Not bad, but how old is Rhia? Cause I didn't think she was that young when Archanfel found her. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) Currently she is 16, she was 15 when Alkanphel found her. I think I accidentaly took that bit of info out while editing...my bad. In Ch4 Jervil says she's sixteen while they're discussing her placement as Alkanphel's heiress. river_chaos Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 Does anyone have one of those days where you have a song stuck in your head? I don't know why, but for some odd reason Bear Nessecities from the Jungle Book Disney movie was going through my mind today during school. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 I'm thinking about starting up an Anime club at my school, but I'm a senior and I don't know anyone that would continue the club. There might be a few teacher that would continue it, along with a few students. I'm just not sure since the town I live in is mostly Baptist and they may oppose there being an Anime club at the school. What are yal's thoughts on this? Should I or should I wait for college to start one up? Quote
river_chaos Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Holy crap! We are getting a lot of snow in my area tonight! It's more than 2 inches right now and still going! We haven't had this much snow since that really bad ice storm years ago. I've been hearing that there've been some bad wrecks on the high way near my home town, most of them going too fast on the ice. I'm throwing down some pillows and blankets to keep my three cats and one dog warm tonight. We've always kept a bunch of extra blankets incase of an emergency like a power outage during winter, so I'm not too worried about us freezing tonight. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 School got cancelled today ! The snow pilled up nice and high last night. I think it's more than 4 inches now; I can't see the drive way nor the road. I took my little Jack-Russell-Terrior out in it, and he went straight back to the door after thirty seconds in the snow. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 We got let out of school today again. Don't know why since the roads are clear, but I guess the school board members are out on vacation somewhere and haven't come back yet. Anywho...I thought I'd play around with one of my new programs and modify one of my drawings. Still trying to figure out how to use the colors, but what do you all think? Quote
river_chaos Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 I am very tempted to bring Rhia's mother into my fanfic, you know kinda to help explain things to Rhia. Not sure if it would be a good idea though. I'm afraid it would go down hill from there if I did that. What are your thoughts on this? Should Rhia meet her mother again or should Elizabeth Maaka stay in the grave? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 i think you should start the anime club and allow it to stay where it is. once you create something, it takes on a life of it's own. wether that life is big or small, thats another matter. but anyway, when you start to get people visiting, you will likely meet somebody that would be suitable to take over. you won't know until it happens. somebody you never even expected to be responsible, may surprise you. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 Okay, I'll give the anime club a try. By the way Ryuki, it looks like Trans-Siberian Orchestra is doing a tour in Europe starting in March. I'm not sure if there's any location asscesible to you; I just thought you'd like to know that they'll be in Europe this spring. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 Haven't talked with my princpal yet about the anime club, but I'm talking to some people I know and seeing if they would join or if they knew people that would be interested. I don't think it'll be school sponsored since it's not related to academics, so we might end up sharing resources if we get to the point where we can create little comic strips for the school or something. Haven't gotten around to talking to the two teachers I have in mind to help me out with the club and I know that one of them might be too busy seeing as she's the only art teacher in the school. The other one is the drama/oral com. teacher and there's a good chance she might be interested seeing as the club could evolve into creating little cartoons for the elementary/primary schools. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 I've got some new art in! First person I showed this too asked, "Is this from Dragon Ball Z?" I was reminded of DBZ too! Quote
river_chaos Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Here's something I've got for Ch21 at the moment. Tell me what you think. Sin Rubeo Amniculus didn’t waste any time getting to Little Rock. He got to the Regulatory Office just as Rhiannon and the boy with her drove into the city limits. It was the same size as Cloud Gate and fully staffed. No one had expected for Lord Amniculus himself to come that day, let alone Lady Rhiannon escorted by Zoanoids and the boy who rescued her from Zeus’ Thunder. At the moment Lady Rhia was making her way to the office where Lord Amniculus awaited for her and the boy following her. “Are you sure this is okay?” Scott Eagle asked Rhia for the third time since they arrived. “Will you stop worrying so much!” she cut him off before he could say more. “I told you Lord Amniculus wants to thank you personally for saving me and…” She trailed off at the presence of another Zoalord, and her eyes widened in surprise. “What’s up?” he asked. “He’s here…” she said and took off. Scott followed her to the office where they were suppose to meet Lord Amniculus, and the double doors to the office flew open before Rhia got nearer than a foot away. She embraced the white haired man whom appeared to be slightly taller than her, and Amniculus stepped out of the office. “You must be Scott Eagle,” the dark haired Zoalord said to the surprised Scott. “I am Sin Rubeo Amniculus, the Third Zoalord of the Council of Twelve. On behalf of Cronos, I thank you for rescuing Lady Rhiannon.” “That’s my line, Sin,” the smaller Zoalord said, loosening his grip on Rhia. His yellow cat eyes fell upon Scott and the teenage boy felt that both Zoalords were sizing him up. “I am Alkanphel, Supreme Commander of Cronos. Thank you for returning my heiress to me, Mr. Eagle.” The Supreme Commander beckoned them to enter the office. “Let us talk.” Once they had all settled in the office, Alkanphel turned his attention to Scott again, “Now that we are secure from eavesdropping, why don’t you tell us how you met my heiress and how you rescued her?” Scott looked over to Rhia nervously, and she nodded to him. “My foster family is part of Zeus’ Thunder,” he explained. “My foster parents forced me to go with them everywhere Zeus’ Thunder went, and my foster brother took me to the outpost in the Ozarks with him to help repair the building that was used. I had no idea what they were doing. All I knew was that it was an outpost for research, and I had no idea they were holding Lady Rhiannon captive until I saw her being dragged across the hangar unconscious. I planned on rescuing her that night, but when I got there the outpost was destroyed. There was only a crater, five miles in diameter if my guess is accurate, and Lady Rhiannon stood by herself. She didn’t appear to be herself though. Her eyes were pure red, and there were red slash marks on her face.” “She was in her berserker mode?” Amniculus asked in shock. Rhia’s head snapped to his direction in surprise. “You were in your self induced coma, weren’t you Rhia?” Alkanphel asked his heiress. She looked at her guardian and her shock melted away. “You knew…” she said. “Your mother told your father this when it first arose, then he told me soon after I took you in,” he told her. “What did they do to you?” There was a moment of silence, then she began. She told them every torture she had been subjugated to, and every time they didn’t get anything out of her they would beat her. Scott felt renewed rage and he noticed the two Zoalords were tensing in rage. She then told him of the argument she overheard between Scott and his foster brother, and that concluded all she remembered at the time. “Rhia,” Amniculus said, “Cronos is in debt to you as well. You’ve kept most of the powers of a Zoalord out of the hands of these…monsters.” Alkanphel remained silent. She felt his mind brush against hers as he tried to read her emotions. I am sorry you had to go through another hell, he told her. I wished I was stronger, she said. I hate being a burden to you all. “Sin, Scott,” Alkanphel said suddenly. “Will you two step out.” “Yes, my Lord,” Amniculus said and both he and Scott left the room. “You have a quarrel with me,” he said to his heiress. “Speak what is on your mind, Rhia.” “What if I want to know something that has been kept a secret from me since the time of my birth?” she asked. “Will you answer me, or will you say that I am not ready for it?” “Rhi…” he said gently. “I’ll take that as a no,” she said and looked away from him. “You want to know who your father is, correct?” Her head snapped back up. “Purgstall told me you had a dream of the first accident,” he explained. “You are starting to remember the truth. You remember using your healing powers as a child, and you remember me altering your memories. What you do not remember is that you spent an entire month in the hospital unconscious. The effort of saving your mother nearly killed you.” “Mom is…!!” Rhia said in disbelief. “Your mother is alive, Rhia. She and I have been talking about it, and we’ve decided it is time for you to learn everything. However, for that discussion, we will have to go to my home, Silha.” Quote
river_chaos Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 I just bought the Viz comic book version of the Guyver today. It's Part 4 Vol 5 I think...why can't they just put issue numbers in the corner instead like everyone else does? Also, who in the Sam hell did the cover art for them? That person needs to be fired I say! Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 yeah those comic book sized version were really messed up. not sure what possessed viz to do that. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 They may have had poor managment at the time. *shrug* Who knows? The only reason I got the comic book was because I couldn't find the Sonic the Hedgehog comic books. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 Out of curiosity: is there an Alkanphel action figure out for sale by Max Factory, or is that not released yet? Just wondering...and trying to give Dad some ideas on what to get me for graduation day. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I don't remember it being released but there were plenty of images of the prototype models. Quote
river_chaos Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 Hey guys. Today was not a very good day for me and everyone at school. Over the weekend a student in my year was killed at a party. All I know is that some idiot decided to bring a shotgun to the party and one of my classmates had to be at the wrong end of the barrel when it went off. I don't know if was an accident, and honestly I don't want to know at the moment. Everybody is feeling the effects of losing a classmate and student. I didn't know the student very well, and I didn't get along with her very well since junior high. My prayers and condolences go out the victim's family and friends. There's a prayer service at the flag poll tomorrow morning at 7. I might go and play a few tunes on my ocarina in respect for the victim and everyone that is heartbroken by this tragedy. Quote
LordSpleach Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) Shotgun to a party...that's stupid. Must've been a redneck. Edited January 19, 2011 by LordSpleach Quote
river_chaos Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 Be careful what you say. A regular Northern city person could've done the same thing, also I'm from a redneck family. Quote
