A simple rotation action would work; the programs will think it's been edited even though nothing has changed the image itself.

On another topic: I will not be going to A-Kon this year :(  While I won't have to work this summer to afford my college text books, I will be sad that I'll miss the awesome things happening at the convention.

oh! haha, yes you're right! there's me looking at a more complicated answer when you have a much more simple way!

damn, you missing teh convention?

apparently we have a convention here in Wrexham on a regular basis. I heard that there are some celebrities there, like soeone from 'battlestar galactica' or something. like famous people. that sounds pretty dope.

A-Kon is the largest anime convention in the southern United States, held in Dallas, Texas, and it keeps growing in attendance every year.  It's where Funimation and manga companies reveal the new titles, announce new seasons for an anime, and hold panels with voice actors from their big hit shows.  There are other panels with various online comic artists, historians, professional cosplayers, and even video game programmers.  It's an awesome event!

I now have volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 of Guyver in my collection now :)  I'm a happy camper!

I also got my trademark hair cut today; my hair used to got all the way down to the small of my back, and now it's above my shoulders.  I won't be hearing meemaw complain about my hair clogging up her vacuum in the near future, lol :P

Went camping for Spring Break last week.

Have I ever said being surrounded by trees with not cell phone reception, no wifi, and being on one's own vast property in the middle of nowhere is very therapeutic? My dad and uncle inherited land from their dad that's located next to a federal forest, so me, my dad and brother, and uncle were out camping in near isolation for an entire week.  Best part about the trip: no drama and near perfect silence to enjoy a book or two.  Didn't have a problem with bugs in camp due to burning holly and cedar wood we had to clear out of our path way.

Well, Riv, that's sort of my life.  I live sort of in the middle of nowhere.  Of course, I also live very close to a state highway and a railroad line.  Best thing about it is that I don't really like living in a downtown area.  Bad news is that it's like a monumental jump from civilization to middle of nowhere in only a mile or so as far as where I live.

Of course, that also means that l sort of need an internet connection to have much of a connection to the outside world, considering that I'm not yet back to work yet.

My home town....has been reduced to rubble....Three years ago, it experienced a similar tornado, but never before had we ever experienced a death toll so high....16 dead alone in my little town...Homes reduced to their foundation slab, and a new school that'll have to be rebuilt from scratch; I can't even begin to describe how serious the damage is....

Wait....You don't happen to live in Joplin, Missouri do you?  It experienced a terrible tornado a few years ago back in 2011 and one previously. I know many people died.It was horrible. All over the news.

I heard about this on the Weather Channel last night.  You have family and friends there, and are they safe as far as you know?  Is the area you're at under threat today?  The threat zone moved a bit east today, but the same stuff is forecasted.

I hope that you and your loved ones are OK :(

I'm sorry about your town. That's horrible that 18 people and 35 homes were abolished. I hope that you and your family will be okay. Hang in there.

@Chernaudi: As far as I can tell, most of my friends are safe.  My family moved up to Fort Smith three years ago after I graduated high school.  You can never tell with this weather if were in the safe zone or not.

Fort Smith should be a lot better off than yesterday. Thunderstorms are still forecast, but they're of the normal type like what I'll be having today. The really bad severe thread is now in AL and MS.

Still too bad about your hometown, though. The rain won't help with recovery efforts. At least you, your family and friends are safe. But it is that time of year, sadly.

Really sorry to hear about your losses.

it may not be so bad as it could have been but still, this is your memories that have been wiped out isn't it?

that's not easy to deal with.

Been moving on in life.  His funeral brought closure and our gang of friends to plan on getting together in the near future.

I'm glad to say that I passed all my classes this semester with only one C- :D  I'm a happy camper, but I'm retaking one of those classes due to the professor not staying on topic/material.  She told too many unrelated stories during lectures and forgot to go over material we would need to know on the exams; I'm going to take the class again with a different professor (the one that's been at the university longer) and see if I can do better.

I also got a little puppy recently!  A coworker of my dad's girlfriend was looking for a home for the little guy, and dad's GF sent me a picture asking "Would you like to adopt him?"

My response "YES!  HE'S SO CUTE!!" So now I have a six week old half mini-Aussie, half Shi Tzu puppy that loves to cuddle and bite whatever gets into his mouth.  I'm already spoiling him; I went to Pet Smart and got a bunch of stuff for him, and even got a crap ton of coupons for grooming, vet visits (the pet hospital listed is owned by the company my dad works for, so we can get a discount once we use the coupon), a free bag of puppy food, discount on collar and tag, and a lot more that I haven't used yet since he's too young.  Most of the stuff they have can't be used on my pup until he's 8 or 12 weeks old.

So aside from that, and seeing the amazing Godzilla reboot, that's been my life the past few days.

Good news on getting the dog.  I do have to say that I'm more of a cat person myself.  At least here there's more room for cats than a dog--and I know from owning a beagle for over 15 years.  Cats just do better in our small house, and they're all outside cats once they get to be old enough to go outside.

We just had two kittens in addition to a 5 month old that we have, and several adult cats.

All of our cats--aside from the kittens--are outdoor cats, as is a huge black cat my mother and father own.  So would a long haired grey one, if it wasn't such an a-hole when outside.

Two days ago my dad's GF got her own puppy, a wolf mix puppy.  Why did she want a wolf mix puppy? Security; we have crack heads for neighbors.  It sounds like a great idea since wolves can be territorial and vicious against enemies, but there's one problem: the puppy is timid.  She will have to train him to be a security dog, especially since the puppy is too timid to play with my own dog most of the time and likes to cuddle with people.  :frusty:  *sigh*

Here I was thinking I'd be able to work on my art this summer; the amount of puppies and the responsibilities that come with them say otherwise.

Sounds like you live in a not so good neighborhood?  We have had problems with the neighbor's barn here getting broken into, to the point where my brothers check on them every now and then, and when they see something suspicious.  I guess that's better than having druggies or drug dealers as neighbors.  That's why if I had to choose a place to live, it wouldn't be very close to downtown Mansfield.  Even having both an Air National Guard/Air Force Reserve base and a state prison nearby hasn't quelled the drug dealers and blue collar crooks.

Posted

Dad ain't worried about safety since he knows how to aim and shoot (ex-military); just got druggies that'll steal stuff given the chance.

Right now I just want to bash my head against a brick wall.  Dad's GF is acting like a damned teenager attached to her smart phone and when we asked her to help with the garden she says "It looks like a grave" and is a stick in the mud.  Then she bawls and cries "What do you want me to do?" and we are both like "JUST BE YOURSELF!".  It's like pulling teeth to get her to do stuff with us or get her to put down that damned phone for a nanosecond.

I'm sorta addicted to the internet, but even then I get bored of being on my laptop after a while.  I also have no problems with helping out around the house, but some of the stuff is annoying around here.

Also, when we had to leave our house so it could get remodeled, that was a bit of a fear, that people would try and steal the stuff for drug money or just money.  People are greedy and amoral anymore and whatever makes a quick buck...

BTW, I don't have a smart phone, or even an actual cellphone.  Only Verizon has decent cell coverage where I live, and since I'm not currently working, I can't afford that.
