Actually, it's 5 seasons, Ryuki, and a lot of it is cannon. There's twelve volumes of the manga, and the anime company made the anime while the creator was still working on the manga. If you get the chance, look at the manga sometime; it's loads better than the anime.

Today I went on a club trip with the university's art club to the state capital. We went to an art museum and walked around the market next to the river. I think we all had fun hanging out and talking about arts and crafts (there was a farmer's market where craftsmen sold their homemade goods).

Went to a Gun Show over the weekend with my dad, brother, and uncle. We would've enjoyed it more if the place wasn't packed wall to wall and the vendors sold more up to date stuff instead of WWI&II stuff. I saw a WWII Navy Captain's katana there that was on sale for over $1000; uh no. I'd rather buy something that I can actually use, not the junk you just hang on the wall at home. I did buy a bracelet there though; a vendor was selling bracelets that were like Pandora's stuff (same manufacturor too) but for a lot less ($35 dollars well spent I say).

Hey, self-defence only. Besides, I can't buy guns. My brother and uncle were the only ones who bought guns.

I meant that I would've like to see more up to date stuff instead of a giant sea of old relics that are either falling apart or just wall peices that belong in a museum. I don't mind finding the katana (that's a one in a million chance of finding one at a gun show or at all), I just wanted to see more variety.

no, no, I understand. it's not what I meant. I know it's not for malicious purposes, it's just that Guns are not a thing here.

Gun's are something I only see in movies and games.

the mere idea of them is something that feels very dangerous to me.

Ah, okay. I understand.

Still, it is kinda fascinating to spot old military equipment. If it helps any, there were also American Civil War cannon models for sale there too, but they shoot only golf balls.

I went to the museum and there was an exhibit about the french wars. there was a description of what cannons used to do to the soldiers and what the field surgeons had to do.

I'm really glad I live in the modern world because the things that went on, it is truly nightmarish to even think about it.

weapons are horrendous things.

that is how I feel about it.

sorry, I don't mean to rain on your parade. I'm sure it was very fascinating and I am glad you had a nice time :)

that is cool.

have you heard of a welsh instrument called a pibgorn? the name seems similar in some way.

although that gemshorn sounds much nicer to me.

Pibgorn? No, I haven't. What is it?

Yeah, I like the gemshorn sound too.

I seem to have a talent for finding things at random when I don't know they exsist, like the auto-harp I got as a high school graduation gift.

Currently out in California visiting my Mum after a stressful week of college finals :)

For one of my final projects I did a presentation over the history of manga, and in my research I found this store http://www.kinokuniy...m/us it's stationed in several cities in the Western Coast of the US, the closes one to me being in San Fransisco, and it sells the Guyver manga in Japanese. They import manga from Japan in the original text; they even have Chinese manga. Thought you guys would like to know this since there aren't that many shops left that sell the Japanese Guyver manga, and I thought Kenji-kun would like to know this since he lives in the California area.

Edit: And for some odd reason the URL system is adding unneeded stuff at the end. It's suppose to be kinokuniy.com/us (with the www. at the beginning)

Well, I finally have volume 29 of Guyver. We went to San Fran yesterday (I recomend never to get stuck in rush hour; traffic is HELL) and visited an art museum and the Kinokuniya bookstore. The museum was fantastic; the bookstore venture was somewhat dissapointing. I was hoping they'd have the rest of the Guyver series for me to purchase, but they only had the 29th volume on their shelves. *sigh* Looks like I'll have to order online to complete my collection.

Today, me, my mom, and her partner, went to see the Hobbit. Mom was "Are you fricken serious?!" when they left the story at a cliff hanger.

Just got my final grades from the university: I PASSED ALL MY CLASSES!!! I only got one C this time around, everything else is A's and B's!

Next semester I'll be in German class along with Yoga II and three art studio classes :D Not sure how I'll fit work into this maddness, but I'll manage somehow.

sounds like you had a nice time in SF.

it must have been a long journey!

it is a shame they didn't have the back catalogue of books. I am sure they could special order them for you if you phoned them ahead of time.

congratulations on doing well in your classes!

My dorm neighbors nearly got their carpet on fire today.

Apparently, they were trying to cook something in their microwave, a mishap occured, and somehow the towel on the floor near the microwave caught fire.  At first I thought it was their Xbox that caused it since it was running and on the carpet, but then they explained what happened and the occupants in said room began teasing the person who tried to cook.  No damage was done, but I suspect the RA's will give them a royal butt chewing later when they hear about this.

Still remains a mistery how the fire happened.

Anywho, today I decided to go to the University's Superbowl party for the free food, and ended up laughing when the power went off in the Super Dome in New Orleans.  Sucks for the teams and fans, but we all got a bit of a kick out of it thinking Beyonce blew a fuse during her performance.

Meh, I wouldn't know.  I didn't stay to see who won; come to think of it, almost everyone decided to call it a night when it started to look like it would take a while before the game got back into swing.

it's impressive to see the party's you guys had!

There was a special showing a bar in new orleans, so many people and such a great atmosphere!

it's a little embarrassing though...

of all the pop culture references I have seen for superbowl, the parties, the adverts etc...

I am still unclear on whether superbowl is American Football, Baseball or Basketball! ^^;

Judging from the terminology I've heard people saying, I'm gonna guess football.
