Garp had mentioned about the other 2 Yonkou there is Big Mom which appears to be the only female emperor out of the 4 and Kaido who tried to fight Whitebeard when he went to save ace but Shanks interfered giving Whitebeard time to escape. speaking of Teach, I have a little theory on him i was always wondering why would Blackbeard need the Yami fruit which is basically a double edge sword Logia ability and my thoughts are that he can't use Haki, it would make perfect sense given his cowardly ways, Immense super human endurance despite the Yami fruit reducing his defense and needing a devil fruit that can cancel out other fruit powers including Logias when hakki cab do basically the same effect, leads me to believe that, yes, he is knowledgeable about haki demonstrated in his fight against luffy but he may not be able to use it, and if he did not have it before the 2 year gap he wont have it now since we are talking about a guy who was able to injure Shanks who is on par with Whitebeard in strength maybe eve stronger, your thoughts?

Blackbeard gave that scar Shanks has on his eye, shanks himself said so when he was talking to whitebeard before ace was defeated by blackbeard, and it was not a sneak attack or anything of the sorts although based on how Blackbeard reacted when shanks appeared on marine HQ that was all he could do.

I think it was more of a combo of Blackbeard already getting a good pounding from Sengoku and being sliced by Whitebeard. Even with his double devil fruits, Blackbeard knew he wasn't strong enough to take on a very strong Yonkou. Blackbeard may be a bit unconventional, but he is deviously smart. He knows when he's outmatched, beside he did what he wanted at Marinefold; there was no reason left to stay.

I'd hope in these last two years Blackbeard hasn't learned how to use Haki, in fact I hope he never figures it out. Remember Blackbeard is obsessed with his powers and believe them to be his ticket to being Ruler of the Seas. Do you all agree it would be really REALLY sweet if Luffy beats Blackbeard by using haki suggesting that a true pirate king is weighed by his spirit, not fancy powers or techniques.

I do think that Teach would be keeping himself busy these past two years. Why let the ability to absorb more devil fruit powers go to waste? In that span of time, he may have already amassed an army that would rival that of the 4 emperors. Who knows, he may have already taken the seat of Whitebeard.

Also, it was already inferred that the former Pirate King Gol D. Rogers have the Kings Disposition, which Luffy currently has. Additionally, during the short flashback when Rayleigh first met Rogers, Rogers' shilhoutte is distinctively similar to that of Luffy, down to his facial expression, heavily hinting that Luffy is on the same path as that of Rogers, becoming the Pirate King.

I was surprised when i saw that part, always thought that the hats first owner was shanks but it is actually Rogers now we know why shanks said it was special for him. My guess that at the ending of one piece the hat will be given to who luffy thinks will inherit his will next, kinda obvious there, the question now is HOW it will get to that.

You know I really do wonder who luffy would pass his hat onto. I mean he never had someone younger looking up to him (Unless you count Chopper)

Maybe in the last chapter of One Piece ever we'll see a new pirate off to become the enxt pirate king and bumps into Luffy. And then luffy gives him the hat and tells him to follow that dream no matter what

I'm guessing that One Piece will end when Luffy achieves being the pirate king, then flash forward to 10 or 20 years later, when Luffy is all buff and bearded, he'll be meeting some young kid with the same kind of charasma that he had when he was younger, then pass off his hat to this kid. Then ends the story of One Piece, and start of a new story.

Boo, we'll have to wait till next week for one piece.

I didn't expect Coribu's pirates to get destroyed by the kraken like that, were you guys? I kinda thought Coribu and his crew would cause some trouble for the strawhats at Fishman Island or at least along their way there...and what another 3000meters to go?! How does anyone get to freaking fishman island! First they gotta bypass that Kraken, all those monsters down in the dark depths, all while still making it to 10000meters undersea...even then they gotta hope not to piss off the fishmen or else they're screwed. Remember how strong those guys are

If they are as strong as Arlong, then the straw hats wouldn't need to be worried. I think that Hachi was supposed to show them the safer way. But you know the straw hats, they always avoid the safest way and go through the most dangerous path. As Luffy would say, what fun would there be in taking the safer path?

If Fishman island is 10000 meters under the sea, do they have air there? I hope they won't need the coating when they reach fishman island. That would kinda restrict the movements of the straw hat. Perhaps Robin might be able to find a clue to what she has been looking for.

I laugh my ass off when franky used the rocket launcher and saw Luffy's, chopper's and Ussop's expression and yeah, light nipples....talk about random even for Oda.

watching the latest chapters got me thinking, the straw hats NEED a merman as a final crew member, he could be essential for lots of things like traversing ahead of the sunny to take down enemy ships without a cannon, rescuing devil fruit users who fall to the ocean and guiding the crew when the go underwater since it is very possible that he has a better vision underwater and whatnot it would make travels like going to merman island less difficult.

IF the last member for the crew (for now anyways) is a merman it would probably be a disciple of jimbei since it is very likely that he himself can't join them since whitebeard is no longer around and the island would be left unprotected.

There is a lot of speculation on other forums that Caribu could join the crew but i really wish he doesn't although it is possible since Robin started a villain first before joining the straw hats.

Weak? Thats debateable I mean he is a logia type DF user. But agreed Coribu isn't strawhat material.

Thats actually a good durendal, I doubt there is air down there in fishaman island. But maybe they give visitors some sort of bubble they can wear on their heads like the ship coating.

I say Mr.2 should've joined strawhats crew after Impel Down, but a part of me wanted to see Mr.3 join the strawhats. You've got to admit, his wax powers are really useful in combo with luffy.

it is not confirmed that he is a Logia user, that is another thing they are debating, his devil fruit power, since he did not confirm nor denied that he was a logia it is unknown what type he is, Mr.3 combo with luffy was pretty cool but now that luffy has armament haki he can move more faster and it is superior to wax protection so i doubt we will see another Luffy/Mr. 3 combo.

You know what I've always been thinking though and my brother kind of agrees with me is that the strawhats have all 10 crew members. Who's the final member? Why the spirit of the Thousand Sunny! The ship has its own soul and "inherited" the spirit of the Merry Go who's been with the crew since before Don Krieg. The thousand sunny deserves to be the 10th strawhat to me

Well, Luffy and Ussop did consider the Going Merry to be part of the crew. It was even a miracle that it survived that long with the state that it was in. I guess you can say that it was an equivalent to the Going Merry's "Guts" that made it survived that long.

For the moment, I don't see any potential crew member material in any of the free characters presented. Besides, any new members that would be joining them would have to be insanely strong.

Hmm... who else did Luffy doodle that he wanted for a crewman, he correctly drew and predicted Frankie, and he got a Musician on his crew like he wanted. I don't remember if he mentioned any other type of crew member that he wanted.
