*Jess♥ Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 I never said it depresses me. there are many points in which the anime does just fine. the extra little bits they added in the pain arc was quite a nice addition. it's only the most recent episodes where they have done some things which I have expressed distaste towards. i think you got the wrong impression. Quote
durendal Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Perhaps depress isn't the right word I'm looking for. But I did note a certain negativity on what they have done to the anime. That's just what usually happens when they try to milk a series. But for me, I felt frustrated and, like you, distaste on what is being done. The only different is that I acquired by distaste early on. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 ah yes ok. well in that case, I can answer better I do see things that I find sickening, BUT there are other parts that are done well. so, I continue to watch because i want to see those good parts. to be honest, I have not seen anything like that until now. but then, I had skipped all the filler episodes and before that, I had not read the manga. Quote
durendal Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Would it be safe to say then, that the manga actually ruined the anime for you? Because prior to reading the manga, you have enjoyed the anime version of Naruto. Only when you started reading did you have severe nitpicks. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 I think that's generally always the case. when we experience the original version of something, it becomes the benchmark. I guess it is down to us to be tolerant of any failings or not. it's my choice whether or not to tolerate such things. I think as long as I can make my complaint, then perhaps i can forgive it and put it behind me. Quote
durendal Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Read the latest chapter and it feels good to finally have another ace together with the good guys. You'd think that all this time, he was going easy on everyone he was facing in the past. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 yeah he was hella impressive wasn't he! I was suprised at first, I had forgotten he ws around and the first thing i saw susano-o and the first thought that came into my head was SASUKE?!?! but then i remembered of course. and about time too. things were getting pretty hairy there. it's impressive to see that his skills are seemingly superior. i have never seen ****** in such an advanced stage, or at least i do not remember it looking that way. Quote
durendal Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 So has Naruto finally joined the main battle? That small ball certainly looks extremely like the Rasengan. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 most definitely I love how this turned out. very emotional as always. I hadn't realised that naruto is in danger of becoming arrogant. but it is true. I can really relate to that feeling, everyone wants to be the hero and forgets the strengths of those around them. that is what teamwork is and having friends. Quote
durendal Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I think one of the most impressive things that I have seen in the series is the development and maturity of Gaara. I mean, when he first appeared, he gives off and immediate aura of hatred. Like your typical depressed villain. But seeing how he turned out was quite a surprise. Touching even. Hell, his father was even shocked. But one thing I'm wondering is how Gaara is able to maintain his jutsu now that the bijou is out of his system. I mean, those techniques must surely require abundant amount of Chakra. Where does he get it if not from his tailed beast. Don't tell me that he managed to cultivate his chakra that much in such a short time. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted September 18, 2011 Author Posted September 18, 2011 it seems to me that gaara was never about the amounts of chakra, but more about the ability to use his certain technique that was nothing to do with shukaku. his sand was his mother wasn't it? I think she must have infused the sand with her chakra... wasn't that the sealing system? or something like that. it involved his mother dying. so he never needed a large amount of chakra for his techniques. i think. Quote
odin Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) in order to be a tailed beast container one needs to have a huge natural amount of chakra to contain it so I'm guessing that The clan that gaara is have huge amount of chakra much like Naruto's clan which give them the best chanceto be a container. about him controlling his sand without shukaku it is probably a combination of what his mother did and his own genius or maybe he has a kekkei genkai that allows him to control the sand similar to his father who controls gold dust or something like that, it hasn't been fully explained aside from his mother being supposedly the source of his defense which is pretty vague. durendal Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Wow! The five kages kicks ass! It's about damn time too! So they're basically telling us that Madara was that of a badass? Good grief, or could it be possible that the younger generations just got weaker? Quote
odin Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I seriously doubt that since the author has for a long time been injecting in our brains that "the new generation will always be better than the previous" mumbo jumbo, it is just that he is overwhelmingly strong even for the newer generation who i think have yet to reach their full potential. Quote
durendal Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Well, I supposed that the younger generation has the upper advantage since they are aware of the techniques of the older generations, and has the opportunity to develop counters if not improve upon the latter's technique. Now I'm wondering if Yamato has anything to do with what Kabuto gave Madara. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 why do you think that? I don't remember much of the details about that to be honest. to be honest, I find it difficult to believe that there is anything kabuto might have that would be of benefit to madara. he is already so well equipped. It seems that this madara is on the verge of what the rikudo sage was capable of. the similarity between susanoo and juubi have been quite evident to me for a long while now. Quote
durendal Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Didn't Kabuto say something to Madara before he used that wooden technique that Hirashima uses? Wasn't Yamato a clone of Hirashima? Just wondering.... Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 yes, he did say he'd given him something a little bit more. and yeah he did use that mokuton no jutsu. but personally, I did not see it as significant enough. I don't remember if we had been told if he already had that jutsu in the beginning. or if wood is that significant. i guess yamato was special in that way, wasn't he. so you could be right. but for kabuto to say that, and for him to use that right away, seemed like the significance was not played out in full. i would expect it to be something else that would have more consequences. Quote
durendal Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Cool, looks like Kabuto is a double crossing basturd as he always was. Does this mean he can clone anyone who is still alive? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 i don't think it means that since this tobi, is not madara. he seemed to admit that he wasn't madara. I have been thinking that for a while. that he is simply masquerading as madara. For some reason, I have been thinking that he is orochimaru. I thought orochimaru 'died' too easily. and he seemed so significant as a bad guy. but i think his story was not complete. we didn't know enough about him. Quote
durendal Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Well, judging at his reaction from Naruto mentioning about Madara, he seems to be surprised. I'm sure he's surprised because Kabuto betrayed him, but we're not exactly sure as to why. It did infer that he was angry about Kabuto summoning Madara. He could be Orochimaru, but I doubt it. Since the Impure Ressurection is a technique used by Orichimaru, it would be strange for Tobi to not know how this works since this is a technique we first see used by Orochimaru. Remember Kabuto showed him how this works. I've been reading some theory that Tobi is actually Obito, but possessed by the spirit of Madara. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 ah good point there, if it were orochimaru, he would have known about it. wow, so that is a good idea there. thinking about it ... OMG that gave me goosebumps, that is a GREAT idea. and considering that naruto's first mentor, kakashi has such a strong relationship there. kakashi has been there since the beginning and a very special person to naruto, sakura and sasuke. then there is that eye that kakashi gained from him. his left eye. and tobi has his left sharingan missing. OMG... durendal have you even looked at the name?????? if we were to use an honorific o-tobi, it is basically obito with the last two kana reversed. damn, you genius you! I am now almost 99% certain that you are correct in that summisation!! Quote
durendal Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Well, let's not jump to conclusions yet. This theory has been floating around other boards, so that's where I lifted the general idea. It does all fall into place though. There are other theories as well, but who knows, Kishimoto might surprise us even more. This reminds me about the theory before regarding who Naruto's real father is. The general consensus then points to 4th being his father, which ironically, became true. Now if this theory does indeed become fact, then I'm afraid I might have possibly ruined Naruto for you, since I know how you hate spoilers. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 nah, it's not a spoiler if it hasn't yet been canonized I love thinking about this stuff. af after all, the hints are all there. even if they are red herring or not. Quote
