Hmm, I was reading that Oboeteoku does mean remember but I could be wrong. Oh well, you two know more on Japanese language than I do.

I guess this would depend on which world he is and what kind of personality he is protraying. There are many ways to say "Remember that", "oboetoke" is actually the most informal way of saying it.

You're right on that part. I just watched where he said it on Eps.17 during the second episode of the Kabuto world arc and he pronounced it like you did in your earlier post for the first half and then the second half was pronounced the way Durendal said it.

yeah, that's how he said in ep 3. I made a mistake in listening since i expected him to say omae becuse it was that kind of inflection.

this is where a good knowledge of vocabulary would help me. currently i'm just relying on listening skills.

thats why the part where i said 'touri sugari no kamen rider' could be inaccurate, that is just what it sounds like to me.

it could be 'tourissu gari' or something similar.

I always thought that translated as 'cool'; that's the way I've always seen it done.

it can also mean 'terrible'. but the way people say awesome, you can certainly use 'cool' for it.

Been half a year sine this thread last saw a post. So I revive it with a need for info.

I know that Wolf is pronounced Ookami and I looked up WereWolf in my J to E Dictionary and it said OokamiOtoku.

But now I'm watching the anime series 'Ookami Kekushi' and they pronounced it somewhat differently.

It sounded like they said Jinrou or something along those lines (if that's a way of saying then we know where Jiro got his name from in KR Kiva).

Can someone verify Jinrou for me or if there is another way of saying it, please? I'd appreaciate it.

狼 (ookami / rou) - Wolf.

Actually there is no term for werewolf in Japanese except if you spell it in Katakana as werewolf. I believe the term they use is Man Wolf, or Jinrou (人狼). The Kanji "rou" used in Jinrou was pronounced in Onyomi, it's kunyomi reading is Ookami. Ookami Otoko (wolf man) on the other hand sounds somewhat childish (along the lines of Megaman), so the preferred term is Jinrou. Ookami Kakushi means "carried away by wolf" or the vernacular "Wolfed Away".

Also, other usage of Ookami is "Garou" 餓狼 which is Hungry Wolf.

Hope this clarifies things.

I was really wondering that. It is also going to help me out with the planning of a later Kamen Rider fanfic based on Ookami Kakushi, Kamen Rider Jouga. A Rider with a Wolf motif.

Another thing I would like to ask is to have this done in romaji for an incantation on Jouga's blade.

"By brightest day. By darkest night. The howl of the wolf release thine might." It's an incantation that KR Jouga will say aloud to ascend to his final form, Wild Form.
