yeah that's correct.

we changed them that way because of what was written on the title card.

I'm wondering if we ought to think about what fans will be searching for though.

what do people know the series as mostly.

do they know ryuki as 'masked rider ryuki' or 'kamen rider ryuki' ?

should we do it that way to help our search ranking, or maybe use a combination of the two? maybe we can call the article 'kamen rider ryuki' and then specify in the first paragraph that it is named 'masked rider' in the title card, but most english fans will know it as 'kamen rider'?

Strange enough, when I searched using the string "Masked Rider" a lot of the results came up with "Kamen Rider", and vice versa. I think this is no longer a debate whether to use "Maked" of "Kamen", since fans will be looking for neither, but for let's say, Kuuga or Faiz. I think Masked Rider has already become synonymous with Kamen Rider, since Kamen Rider is now already an accepted vernacular. I don't think we need to rack our brains for this as each rider already has it's distinct identification. Notice when we discuss a series, we mention Blade, Hibiki, OOO or even Fourze, and we often omit the "Kamen/Masked Rider" part.

Moving ahead....

How important is the ratings for the show? If you noticed, I added a ratings summary for all the riders in the Kamen Rider Series page (highest, lowest and average). I still have information about ratings for each episode (again, information not found in the english wiki OR the Japanese wiki ). If you think it is necessary, I can either create a ratings page solely for the ratings of each episode, or I can incorporate them into the wiki of each rider page since each rider page has an episode list. I am of the opinion of incorporating it into the episode list. But my question remains, how important is the ratings, and how relevant is it for the readers? If it's not necessary, I guess I'll just skip it.

actually, I think the ratings is of great interest to some people.

for example, I am keenly interested in the ratings of fourze before deciding if I will lever go back to it.

I would also like to check the ratings of past series to compare them and see the relative popularity.

I think this kind of statistic is very exciting for the right person.

as for separate page or the same page, I'm actually of the opinion that episode lists could be on a separate page. at least, if they are to be quote information rich. it may be possible to have a summary on the main page and more detailed information on a separate page.

it may even be possible to have the information in a small box and not loaded up right away. then the box could be opened like a spoiler tag in the forum.

I think that would be nice if I could do something with an extension. maybe i can check it out if you think its a good idea.

Alright, here are the ratings for fourze, and basically, this is everything:

# Subtitle Broadcast date Ratings

01 Blue・Spring・Change・Body 2011/09/04 6.3%

02 Deep・Space・Very・Good 2011/09/11 7.2%

03 Woman・Ruler・Selection・Process 2011/09/18 5.5%

04 Transform・Illusion・Secret・Maneuver 2011/09/25 6.7%

05 Friend・ship・two・sides 2011/10/02 7.7%

06 Electric・Shock・only・way 2011/10/09 5.8%

07 Lord・King・the・rascal 2011/10/16

Do note that I took great liberties with the translation as the subtitles are 4 separate kanji that are viewed as independent but can form words or phrases. And the only way to preserve the essence is if I ignore the traditional direct translation. For reference on the ratings, I've already posted the average ratings of each rider series in the KR series page. For easy reference, click here.

That's basically how the information is presented. Rather raw if you asked me. Which is why I considered to integrate it into the episode list of the respective KR pages. Because aside from the ratings itself, all the other information is already listed in the episode list. I'm also not comfortable having too many pages for a single title. Of course multiple pages are unavoidable, but in this case, I don't think it's practical to have a separate page for each of the ratings.

edit: crap, the tables didn't show, had to re-edit them.

thanks for listing that fourze ratings :)

I had already seen those though, I have a page bookmarked that posts fourze ratings.

I was just using as an example.

I trust your judgment in those ratings being on the same page and the episode list.

if you think they are better on the same page, I will agree.

do you think it would be usefuil to have an extension that can condense certain parts of the article as default? or is there something that already does that?maybe it's default.

you have a better idea than me at this point.

Say what? Uh.... can you explain that a little, I'm a little confused.

Do you mean a command that can hide certain parts of the article to condense the page? We are talking about the wiki right? If that's what your talking about, I would also like to know if we can do that. As I plan to use that on the main page so I don't have to think about what needs to be said about any updated pages.

However, we could do a separate episode list to contain the ratings, but we also need to put the summary and detailed information for each episode. Unless someone is stupid kind enough to do it, it's a task which I am unable to undertake at my current capacity.

I mean something like this -

things that are very long and have a lot of data in them.

on the wiki.

I don't know how that could be used on the front page, but i think what you want there is a summary?

a way to summarise the article? I would just use the first sentence from the article itself.

Ah yes! That's exactly what I meant. Remember I was asking for that function when we were talking about skipping the spoilers? I'll check it out. Traditional wiki has them, so I'm not sure if those codes will also apply to wikimedia.

Crap! I took a peek at wiki, and it's sooo complex. It has templates within templates within templates.
