jerrygoodman Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 UPDATE: Finally got time to squeeze a chapter in, so I thought I'd post it just so everyone knows I'm alive. GUYVERMARVEL12.doc Deadpool meets Valcuria, and he'd better pray she doesn't kill him... And looks like Wade's ability to narrate got messed up by Archanfel. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 That was a funny meeting; a touch of comedy is just what this story needed at this point. I look forward to seeing Deadpool's reaction to Valkirya's transformation back into human form. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 Wade probably wouldn't even be able to form coherent english... Quote
jerrygoodman Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 And Val could just as easily knee Wade in the groin XD Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 He could also try giver her a hug; she'd probably punch him across the nearest road for trying. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted March 23, 2009 Author Posted March 23, 2009 Or slice him in half with her high-frequency swords...whichever comes first Quote
jerrygoodman Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 UPDATE: Took me a while, especially with school and what not, but I finally got a couple new chapters in! GUYVERMARVEL13.doc Ch. 44: Agito discusses terms with the Hood, who proves to a formidable individual, even for Makishima. Also, Norman Osborn has been dealing with the crisis in his own way, even capturing an individual that Guyver-fans might recognize... Ch. 45: While trying to pick up Chronos's trail, the Punisher assists a team of NYPD officers in fending off attacking zoanoids. And don't worry -- we're gonna see more of the fight with Archanfel and Earth's heroes, hopefully soon... Quote
LordSpleach Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 About time! A little slow, but still good. Great time to have Guyot show up. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 That was cool; I wonder what Guyot is going to end up doing when he gets loose. Or if he gets loose; speculation is that he still has the Remover... Quote
jerrygoodman Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 If he gets loose, he's probably gonna rip up Avengers Tower single-handedly, coming into conflict with some of Osborn's Dark Avengers. And then, in the midst of the fight, Osborn calls off the battle, and offers Guyot a drink, probably to buy time while planning out what to do next (like he did when the faux-Captain Marvel attacked Thunderbolts mountain during Secret Invasion). Like Valcuria, I'm keeping Guyot's role somewhat ambiguous, since there are still a lot of unanswered questions with him. Me, I just don't want to end up writing one thing and then something different happens in the mainstream Guyver-verse. I just prefer to keep things somewhat consistent. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Heck, I just look forward to seeing what you do with Apollyon. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Well, I am thinking of a showdown between him and the Silver Surfer...but I would like to see more of him in the Guyver-verse before I do anything. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I think Apollyon's power is mimicry, for the most part. Though he does seem to have the basic suite of Zoalord powers, too. Still, there's clearly a lot we don't know about him. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Indeed, which is why I'm holding off on bringing him in, at least until he makes another appearance. GUYVERMARVEL14.doc UPDATE: Finally got another chapter in! Archanfel versus Earth's heroes! Favorite bit: Sho uses Cap's shield against Archanfel. If anyone could make a picture of this, I'd be very happy. For those of you wondering, YES, there is a reason that I haven't brought the Gigantic in yet, and it ties in with the delay of Sho's transformation within the Marvel universe, as seen earlier in the story. It's gonna be a major point later on, so hang tight, faithful readers. Quote
LordSpleach Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Sho throwing Cap's shield is awesome, and its about time Archanfel transformed. Also, isn't high time you start calling us 'true believers'. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Well, I would, but I hope Stan's copyright people don't jump on me Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 That was fun. I'm still looking forward to seeing Valkyria come out of her armor, and Deadpool getting slapped for making... comments. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 Hey everyone, I'm still in the process of putting this together, but I've been doing a little bit of ruminating, and I just thought it'd be really awesome if someone could illustrate this story. I mean, I've been visualizing a lot of what's going on in my head, but I think it'd be cool if I could actually see it drawn out, like a comic book if you will. And besides, there are a few bits in this story that are my personal favorites and I would really love to see them in picture form. Would there be anyone willing to take this up? Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Good luck with that. I wanted the same, but what I ended up doing was commissioning a comic for my story. Most artists aren't willing to work for free, so I think your best bet would be either a commission or an art trade. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 Well, I know some people who might help me on that front, Kenji, so I think I'll talk to them when I get a chance. For those of you wondering, YES, I am still alive. I'm in the middle of wrapping up the Spring semester over at Queens College, so things have been a little crazy for me on my end. Rest assured, when things settle down for me, I'm gonna get working on this again. And expect to see some really cool stuff with the story. I've already got a battle between the Silver Surfer and Apollyon planned, and I'm also bringing in a few others in as well, so stay tuned! Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 That's good to hear. I look forward to reading the next instalments of your saga, man. I eagerly await the battle between Apollyon and the Silver Surfer, as well as the first meeting that -- perhaps inevitably - leads up to that battle. I also look forward to finding out what happened to the other characters. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Normally I'd offer to do the drawing but even Kenji can tell ya I'm busy with drawings out the wazoo. It's actually been some time since i've read this thread and the image of Sho using Cap's shield is an image that gives me ideas. Maybe when I finish all my drawing requests.... Quote
jerrygoodman Posted May 13, 2009 Author Posted May 13, 2009 Awesome! I looked over some of your work. Very nice, btw. Quote
