January 3, 201115 yr Author Hey, I know this is really late, but unfornately I didn't have a computer on last Friday, but I would still like to wish everyone on this site good meaning. Ryuki, I thought I saw a poster when Guyver 2 was yellow and ad green internal parts, but I just saw it and they wernt green so it was my mistake.
January 24, 201115 yr Author It was pretty good, but I finally got my old computer back and running again! So glad too!
January 24, 201115 yr Author I am actually rather aggrivated right now, because I've waited for almost 2 years now to get those aptom photo's from my friend who took them at San Japan anime con and she still hasnt given me any. Rather upsetting but speaking of which I am really looking forward to go to a Renasance Fair and an Anime Con this year. I am deff planning on going.
January 24, 201115 yr I've been to the Ren Fair before, its awesome. You've got to get the Turkey Leg, you just have to. Which anime con? MegaCon maybe? Thats the one I'm going to in March
January 24, 201115 yr Author Yeah I've been to Ren Fair before in Flordia, it was actually a Scottish Feastival. Thats were my family got our Code of Arms the Irish Flag, and our Family Crest and such. I loved it! And want to go here soon. As far as an anime con I don't know which one yet, I just know i want to go soon. Maybe San Japan again maybe mega con don't know yet, will have to see.
January 26, 201115 yr I'm jealous. I've been to a Ren fair before, but never to an anime con. What are they like? I've heard they're fun, especially if you cosplay as an anime character.
February 7, 201115 yr Author Oh yeah, riv there very fun! Last time i went i cosplayed aptom, and i had the scar on my face and such. It was awesome, but the stuff, of course, is very exspensive. THey got all kinds of stuff there, games, videos, amv's, compitions, food, drinks, all kinds of stuff. Very fun, if you could, i would def go, I mean I plan on going.
February 8, 201115 yr Author Yeah, my friend took pictures of me too as Aptom, but she still hasnt given me the photos which is what's frustrating. I guess the worst part of this, was this all happened two years ago.
February 9, 201115 yr Oh well you're never getting those pics then What would you go as this year? Another guyver character? You should try being Barcus, come on 3 feet of hair growing from your chin while being bald!
February 9, 201115 yr Author Nah, I don't think I could pull off a Barcus look. If I had the materials, I would either go as, of course, Zoalord Mirabilis, Hiei, though I don't think I could pull that off with MY hieght , or Coyote Starrk. I would really enjoy going as one of those fellow character, but I can only imagine how fun it would be to go as Lord Archanfel.
February 9, 201115 yr Going as Alkanphel? Okay, that would be cool if you could pull that off! That would be a ball unto itself if you did it. I thought about making an Alkanphel cosplay a while back too, just for fun and messing with some of my Guyver friends.
February 9, 201115 yr Author Well, it wouldnt be too hard if you went with his white suit he was wearing, when he was chasing Guyot around relics point. But, I think it would be more...awestrucking if you could go in his battle armor. Cape and shoulder pads and all.

February 9, 201115 yr Yeah but if you went in archy's suit people would probably mistake you for a Phoenix Wright character
February 14, 201115 yr Author hahaha! Yeah, but thats why you would need the Chronos badge, I would have no idea what to do for his eyes though, seeing as how cosmetic contacts are so outragiously exspensive. I am really considering going as a celt to the ren fair. But as of now, I lack the funds to purchase anything like that, or to make a costume of one. THis last weekend and week, has been kind of bizarre. I don't know why, just seemed really strange to me. I have a very strong desire to start my drumming skills again. I mean, I never dropped them, but I havent been trying to progress with it either. So I am hoping to pick up where I left off with the double pedal. Not, much has really been happening, just been kind of dull lately. Anyways, I hope everyone has a Great Valentines Day!
February 15, 201115 yr did you see the video i made of the celt statue? it's really easy to make a costume for a celt. you just need a white blouse and loose trousers with close fitting ankles, a cape and a brooch should be easy too.
February 21, 201115 yr Author No I havent ryuki, is that one of your youtube films or something? I was hoping I could get a wolf's head to wear kid of like how the wendol wore the bear pelts in the film "Eaters of the Dead". Thanks though for the info on the costume I look forward to seeing your film if you still have it. Edited February 21, 201115 yr by Mirabilis
February 23, 201115 yr yeah it's in the thread i made about history.. something like how our society started. it's in the general section. wolfs head...? yeah, I probably wouldn't go looking for something like that. as far as i'm aware there is no evidence for the wearing of animal pelts in celtic history.
February 24, 201115 yr Author Okay thanks aton ryuki! And they didnt wear animal pelts? Thats a shock, cause I thought the druids wore dear skins and antlers and the likes of. Edited February 24, 201115 yr by Mirabilis
February 24, 201115 yr I think what you're referring to is skinwalkers. a type of shaman. druidism revered the oak tree so i am not certain that it is part of the culture. you might discover something if you do some research but on the face of it, it's not part of the culture attributed to celts by the romans or by the irish records. there are celtic legends of shapeshifting which would probably be due to the practices of the skinwalkers but those are legends, they would be based on things before records began and hard to confirm. for your costume, celts would have worn materials made from weaving wool. they did make felt caps but that's about the closest you would probably get to wearing animal skins. in the video i posted in the other thread, you will see the tartan pants worn by the celtic warrior. on the table of goods you'll see a type of blouse that they would have worn. they also would have worn a cloak of tartan, think of the cloaks the hobbits wear in lord of the rings.
February 24, 201115 yr Author Ahh okay, but I've not heard druids referred to as skinwalkers before, is that the term they use in the U.K.? When I was in english 303 we had to do cultural projects, and I did Ancient Egyptian and Celtic Society, and it referred to the priests of the tribes as druids, and here are some links and such. Basically there were three major jobs in the celtic reilgious aspect: Ovates: These guys were your basic nurses and doctors. They would treat battle wounds, and the likes of. Bard: these guys memoriesed songs, poems, and were historians. They made sure the continuation of traditions and records lived on, through the next generation. Druid: These guys were like the scientists, and doctors. They used herbs for medicine, and were personal advisors to the tribal leader. They could talk to the Gods, and used astronomy, and passed down most hostorical documents to the bards. When I read about ancient werewolf myths and legends it said, that those who thought they were werewolves were known as skinwalkers so maybe it's different terms for our nations... http://ezinearticles.com/?History-of-the-Celtic-Druids&id=1477679 http://www.britannia.com/wonder/michell2.html I would post another vid, but it has some brief nudity in it, and it might not be aporpriate for this site. P.S. I think I am going to start on my costume when I get back from michigan next week, so I am gonna look around the house and see if theres anything I can use, after I watch your video. Thanks again, for the assistance ryuki!
February 24, 201115 yr no, I didn't say druids were called skinwalkers. i said you might be referring to skinwalkers when you talk about wearing a deerskin and antlers. a skinwalker is a shaman who wears an animal hide to take on the spirit of an animal. these may have been present in early celtic culture, but they are also present in other cultures.
