he's a good artist although I'm not a fan.

I'm curious; had you heard of him before today? What was it about his work that didn't appeal to you, by the way?

no i haven't heard of him before today.

the thing about his work that i don't like is that it is very 'standard'. it's skilled, but it has nothing that i view as special quality. i could view his work on a cover of an american comic, but it lacks any real stylistic qualities.

does this make sense?

Yeah, I get it. From what I've read of him, he paints book covers in addition to commisions. Still, I know he's not to everybody's taste.

The preliminary sketch came today!

I just found out that Toku is the same age as I am. That's kind of cool.

My HLJ shippment came today; the Gashapon were fine, but Purg'stall's left leg broke off when I moved it.

aww no! that sucks!!

my guyver 2 leg broke because i posed it too much.

it's not nice.

I think they should grease the joints somehow.

my first guyver 1 figure snapped off at the knee as well. i tried ot pose it so he'd be kneeling a bit. but the joint broke.. they need a better joint design... its too weak.

Teah, a lot of their figures seem to have leg issues. My Guyver I's right leg snapped at the thigh.

All four, and in perfect condition. I'm happy.

My mom - who's incredibly nice - was going to take a picture of the broken leg of my Purg'stall figure, and the batteries in the camera were dead. They've since been replaced, however, and the pictures have been taken.

In other news, my sister dropped a mug on the cat's dish, and it shattered completely. The mug is fine, though.
