*Jess♥ Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 you should send us all money. since you're a millionaire kenji, you should send us each a thousand bucks. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 All right, who told? Someone's getting a spanking for this. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 it was your chauffeur. he sent me an email complaining because you spend the time on here and he ws always late taking you to your meetings. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 That does it; Jeeves will have custard poured down his pants and be spanked witn bratwursts. That'll teach him to go blabbing about me and my money. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 wow..... such an... interesting use of food.... Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Well, as I always say "don't get mad, get creative." Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Eeeeeeeeeeee!!! Alan Gutteriez - briliant artist, by the way, I love his work - has just started on the piece I commisioned from him. Oh, it's going to be great. I just know it. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 I should have the preliminary sketch some time this week, so I'm looking forward to that, too. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 he's a good artist although I'm not a fan. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 I'm curious; had you heard of him before today? What was it about his work that didn't appeal to you, by the way? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 no i haven't heard of him before today. the thing about his work that i don't like is that it is very 'standard'. it's skilled, but it has nothing that i view as special quality. i could view his work on a cover of an american comic, but it lacks any real stylistic qualities. does this make sense? I have a very limited taste in art anyway. I know what i like. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Yeah, I get it. From what I've read of him, he paints book covers in addition to commisions. Still, I know he's not to everybody's taste. How've things been going for you lately? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 complicated. but i'm mostly doing fine so no worries. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Well, I'm happy to know things are going well, for you. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Muffins, muffins, I have yummy muffins! I hope my stuff gets here soon; both what I ordered from HLJ and the Chaung Yi manga from Comic D. Legacy. The preliminary sketch came today! Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 I just found out that Toku is the same age as I am. That's kind of cool. My HLJ shippment came today; the Gashapon were fine, but Purg'stall's left leg broke off when I moved it. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 aww no! that sucks!! my guyver 2 leg broke because i posed it too much. it's not nice. I think they should grease the joints somehow. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 my first guyver 1 figure snapped off at the knee as well. i tried ot pose it so he'd be kneeling a bit. but the joint broke.. they need a better joint design... its too weak. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 Teah, a lot of their figures seem to have leg issues. My Guyver I's right leg snapped at the thigh. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 My manga are here! All four, and in perfect condition. I'm happy. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 My mom - who's incredibly nice - was going to take a picture of the broken leg of my Purg'stall figure, and the batteries in the camera were dead. They've since been replaced, however, and the pictures have been taken. In other news, my sister dropped a mug on the cat's dish, and it shattered completely. The mug is fine, though. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 This is my 1,200th post. *glee* Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 This place has been kinda dead lately. Quote
