*Kenji Murakami Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 i hope she gets well soon then btw, I thought you might put that Japanese phrase into google. it is a very common phrase. it is 'happy birthday'. I suspected that; I was just teasing you, Ryuki. And, I'm happy to report that she's gotten over the bout of depression that was causing her trouble; she sounds like she's doing a lot better, so that's good to hear. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 ah heh heh, you're subtle oh she's gotten past it? that's good. that depression can be a real bitch. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 Yeah; that's the impression I got from her. ;D Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 Wow, the new skin is red. Red, red, red, red, red. Really red. I liked it better when it was blue. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 How in the heck did my postcount go down by 1,000? That makes no sense. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I have trimmed down a lot of the forum. to be honest, I am surprised your post count didn't go down more. you must not have posted a lot at the beginning of the forum. a lot of old topics are gone. as a result, post counts have gone down and very old users who don't visit any more had zero post count. those users who have low post count and haven't visited in more than several months, have been deleted. this is all in favour of making the forum feel lighter, with less history and less information overload. this in turn should help any potential new users to feel they can fit in more comfortably. about the forum skin, it is to match the new front page. there is something i am enquiring into at the moment which could actually see it changing to blue, but i don't know how likely it is. the red was to match gigantic exceed. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Makes sense, I suppose. It's a little disconcerting, though; red was the default color, something I only saw when I was away from the forum for too long and the software logged me out. Besides, it's not really my favorite color, anyhow. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 i understand. i wish there was an easier way to maintain skins. no such luck, I have to go through lines and lines of template code and CSS code. it's a nightmare. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Yeah, I thought it might be something like that. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 Well, I've finally managed to buy - almost; still waiting to get my hands on #29 - the entire series of Guyver manga. It'll be shipped on the 17th, so all that remains is for me to find space for them; seriously, I've got more books than most people know what to do with. Then again, we've always been big readers in my family. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 nicely done. how did you manage to get them? Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 YesAsia had them; they didn't have 29, last I checked; which entirely sucks, but the rest of them were easy to find. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 Well, YesAsia still doesn't have it, but Kin- the other bookstore - I swear, I have some kind of mental block with that name - should be getting the one I requested in soon. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Jade Tatsu has apparently come back to the forum; I kinda wonder where she's been all this time. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Well, that too, but I still wonder what she was doing during the time she was away. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 could be my fault. I didn't really do a good job dealing with issues around changing forum, leaving the old one, making this one etc. I think i did wrong by a few people around that time. what was it... 5 years ago or so. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 Hmm; that might've had something to do with it. It couldn't have been easy for someone who didn't have the forum bookmarked, like I do, to keep up with all of the moves. Of course, a lot of that might have been Invision's issues, too. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 I've finally gotten my Guyver manga - well, I had them a bit ago, but I was busy then so I couldn't find the time to post - back-issues that I ordered. They all look great; I'm very happy that I ordered them. I also added the 57th article to my Wiki, too; haven't been working on that much, sad to say. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 Well, it's the first day of decorating for Christmas, and that means that the first set of decorations - the miniature trees, the wreath, and the door-hangings - went up today. Tomorrow, we bring out the bigger ones; it's going to be interesting getting the 7ft tree up this year. We'll need to make some space in the living room. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted December 23, 2012 Author Posted December 23, 2012 Well, the big tree's fully up and decorated now; all of the garlands have been hung, and the stockings are up and just waiting to be filled. My sister's even started putting out presents. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 Merry Christmas, everyone! Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 I hope everyone had a happy new year, and a great celebration, too. Wow, 2013, huh? Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Well, the first not-quite-week of the new year has been a pretty good one. My mom's birthday is coming up in just a couple days, so that's something to look forward to. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Mom hurt her foot yesterday; a day before her birthday, can you believe that? Talk about bad luck. Quote
