*Kenji Murakami Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 In case you hadn't noticed, my sister really likes Supernatural. (she was the one taking most of the pictures.) Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Well, we've almost reached the last of the pictures from the family trip to Comic Con this year. There's a few more from the convention itself, plus Mom took some snaps of this cool theme cafe that was set up just a block from the convention center. Enjoy! Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Last shots of the cafe, and a bit from inside the hotel itself. (yes, the teddy bear is mine; bleh to anyone who doesn't like it.) Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Mom and my sister made a trip down to Old Town San Diego while I rested in the hotel; fun as it was to go to Comic Con, my feet were in agony by the end of it. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 i feel like i'm squashed by all the pictures XD oh hey kenji, your signature doesn't work. the link is not working for whatever reason. nice pictures of the convention. apart from the countless pictures of the big screen with people that i don't recognise. didn't like them. but i liked the pictures of the mexican looking place and the cosplay doctor who. *Kenji Murakami Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Yeah, Mom and Sis got a bit shutter-happy when they were there. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 nice. i considered once or twice, if you requested me to colour these up until the point that your sketch artist started shading them, how would i deal with that? well i just decided to have a go with this image here. I just spent five minutes playing with the gradient map tool and I think it works quite nicely. I basically can replace any of the areas with a gradient based on her shadowing. I find it quite an interesting effect. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted October 30, 2011 Author Posted October 30, 2011 That is interesting; cool effects, Ryuki. I like the sepia-tone on the background, it looks good. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 I seem to have come back to my Guyver series; I've been working a lot on my other fanfics for awhile - Teknoman, my crossover series, and the like - but I'd still been steadily writing down any new ideas I had about where the story was going. Now, I've gotten back to transcribing the story itself, it seems. Wonder how long it'll last this time... Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 I've got two and a half - or three, depending on how you look at it - chapters of the Kingdom Hearts fanfiction I've been working on up. Just posted them a few minutes ago, in fact. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 One of my sister's online friends upgraded both the family computer and my sister's; she gave us both new hard drives. She was able to insert the new one into my sister's computer as a secondary, but since the family computer only has one hard drive slot, she had to replace ours entirely. On the one hand, this is good, since we now have a much bigger hard drive, but on the other it means that Mom and I are going to have to work to get our Bookmarks back. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 oh that's a shame. but you didn't have to do that. you could have set up your firefox to sync your bookmarks. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 No, I mean the old bookmarks are back on the old hard drive; I couldn't find them to transfer when I transferred all of the other files. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 which is why i suggested syncing firefox that way you don't need to worry if they are on old harddrive or not. because firefox would synch your bookmarks automatically when you set up your new hard disk. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 19, 2012 Author Posted January 19, 2012 I don't think that would have worked; the harddrive itself was physically removed from the computer. My sister's friend needed to reinstall the operating system, and I had to reinstall all the old programs. The computer couldn't even read the old harddrive after it was taken out. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I feel like you are completely missing the point. the point is 'firefox sync'. you don't need the old hard drive. .. i've said this about 3 times already.... Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 The bookmarks were on the old harddrive; the new harddrive was fresh out of the box, it was unformatted, it had no operating system. Everything was reloaded; the files, the programs; everything was back to its basic format. Firefox had nothing to sync to. That's what I keep telling you, Ryuki. Quote
