*Kenji Murakami Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 For this Mother's Day, me and the family went up to this Vegan/"raw food" place called Cafe Grattitude; it was entirely my mother's idea. Vegan food makes me queasy just smelling it, and raw food is permanently connected to fruits in my mind. Everything I tried there was either too salty or too bland, or it looked like the kind of thing that would make me want to barf right after eating it. Needless to say, this is the last time in my life that I will ever set foot in that establishment. Mom enjoyed having me there, though; so in spite of the fact that I had to wait until we had left for home to get a decent meal, I guess it wasn't so bad. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 Agh! This heat is making me sleepy. I've been spending most of the day in bed, lounging and watching TV in bed. I've only managed to rivive a bit now that the sun's gone down and things have started cooling off. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 I think it might be a couple degrees cooler today; I don't feel so sleepy, at any rate. Quote
Mirabilis Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Was it one of those days where the sun just hammers you Yeah, I know that day. I know that day very well ...I dont like that day...I am gonna get that day. You'll see!...I am gonna get back at that day! Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 19, 2009 Author Posted May 19, 2009 It was one of those days when it'sjust too frigging hot to move; I ended up sleeping till 7p.m., when things finally started cooling down. I didn't get nearly as much writing as I was planning on done as a result of that. Quote
Mirabilis Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I thought it was "That Day". "That Day" strikes again! I'll get you "That Day"! Mark my words! You wont get away with what you've done!!...oh um...don't ask... Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 Yes, it was one of those days. Thankfully, the heatwave seems to be over now. And, to make things just that much better, I got the first page of my second chapter. Here, take a look: Quote
Mirabilis Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Cool. Are you gonna color it your self, or just leave it the way it is? Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 I think I'm going to leave it like this until I either get more money, or get all the chapters for the story finished. It looks pretty good like this, I think. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 I'm due to get my next batch of chapters for Meeting Places back from my beta tommorow, which I'm very happy about, as I put a lot of work into those chapters. And I look forward to posting them On a related topic, I'm kind of dissapointed with the sheer lack of response to Chimera and Zoalords; I'd figured to have at least gotten a couple responses. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 Well, I've got nine more chapters of Meeting Places up. And I'm working on the next batch, though I don't know when I'll have those done. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 You can read what I've written so far here, you know. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Second page of the second chapter is here: And I'm very happy to have it. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 12, 2009 Author Posted June 12, 2009 My mom's thinking about setting up a blog, but for some reason she doesn't like the way that LiveJournal calls the people who watch your journal for updates your "friends". My mother, folks, I love her, but she's nuts. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 At one of the houses I lived at years ago, we used to have a bush that grew in front that went all the way up to the roof. I'd climb up it and look out over the neighborhood when the mood came over me. It was fun. I almost wish we had something like it at this place, since we live on the second story, but the big tree outside is too far away to be of any help, and there are no low-hanging branches on it anyway. *Kenji Murakami Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 I think I might start posting my story Meeting Places, in spite of the fact that I don't have a finished titlecard. I'm not quite sure yet, though. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 i'm not sure what that means. what is a story card? and what is a title place? we have a fair few bushes and trees in our garden it is nice to climb but i don't do it anymore. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 These are the two titlecards I've made for my previous two stories. I don't have one for Meeting Places yet, like I said, since I don't have a good picture of Sean or Ryan that I can use. This is as far as I've gotten: mp1.bmp Quote
*Jess♥ Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 oh i get it!! I didn't realise your story was called meeting places XD that's a nice idea for a title card. caerleon is so shmexy (although not anymore ¬_¬) Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 Thanks. Tou can rest assured that nothing like that's going to happen to him in my story. Maybe to someone else, but not to him. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 I've got twelve members of Chronos' sub-Council of Disciple Zoalords; only four of them are viable at the moment, but all twelve have been introduced in some fashion. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 This place seems kinda dead lately. Still, I do enjoy hanging out here. I hope we get some new topics to discus in the future. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 yeah it was very quiet last few days, but it looks like it may pick up soon. Quote
