For this Mother's Day, me and the family went up to this Vegan/"raw food" place called Cafe Grattitude; it was entirely my mother's idea. Vegan food makes me queasy just smelling it, and raw food is permanently connected to fruits in my mind. Everything I tried there was either too salty or too bland, or it looked like the kind of thing that would make me want to barf right after eating it.

Needless to say, this is the last time in my life that I will ever set foot in that establishment.

Mom enjoyed having me there, though; so in spite of the fact that I had to wait until we had left for home to get a decent meal, I guess it wasn't so bad.

Agh! This heat is making me sleepy. I've been spending most of the day in bed, lounging and watching TV in bed. I've only managed to rivive a bit now that the sun's gone down and things have started cooling off.

Was it one of those days where the sun just hammers you  Yeah, I know that day. I know that day very well :shifty: ...I dont like that day...I am gonna get that day. You'll see!...I am gonna get back at that day! :shooting:

It was one of those days when it'sjust too frigging hot to move; I ended up sleeping till 7p.m., when things finally started cooling down. I didn't get nearly as much writing as I was planning on done as a result of that.

I'm due to get my next batch of chapters for Meeting Places back from my beta tommorow, which I'm very happy about, as I put a lot of work into those chapters. And I look forward to posting them

On a related topic, I'm kind of dissapointed with the sheer lack of response to Chimera and Zoalords; I'd figured to have at least gotten a couple responses. :(

My mom's thinking about setting up a blog, but for some reason she doesn't like the way that LiveJournal calls the people who watch your journal for updates your "friends". My mother, folks, I love her, but she's nuts.

At one of the houses I lived at years ago, we used to have a bush that grew in front that went all the way up to the roof. I'd climb up it and look out over the neighborhood when the mood came over me.

It was fun. I almost wish we had something like it at this place, since we live on the second story, but the big tree outside is too far away to be of any help, and there are no low-hanging branches on it anyway. :sigh:

i'm not sure what that means. what is a story card? and what is a title place?

we have a fair few bushes and trees in our garden :D
