December 12, 200916 yr And this is why I hate TV execs. Low ratings my ass; they play crap and then wonder why no one watches their stations. Idiots.
December 13, 200916 yr The constant scedual-juggling, the lack of visible advertising, the complete failure to promote the show in any way... ye gods, it's Firefly all over again! Those brainless, benighted barf-buckets better not end the show on a cliffhangar, that's all I can say. *preps sniper rifle*
December 13, 200916 yr I agree with ya. They didn't even bother to see the fansites & forums that were put up by Dragon fans.
December 14, 200916 yr I agree with ya. They didn't even bother to see the fansites & forums that were put up by Dragon fans. Which just adds weight to the whole "They're idiots" argument.
December 14, 200916 yr Some fans even wrote fanfics for the series. I wrote three back to back to back at the beginning of the year.

The last 3 episodes are a 3-part trilogy title "For Earth & Ventara". Part 1 will air on Dec. 26 but then thats it. CW will no longer have it listed for watching on TV so it'll sorta end on a cliffhanger. But it is rumored that either CW for Kids or 4KIDS TV station will air the remaining 2 episodes on their website channels though it may not happen.

It's not like it's the show's fault that their advertising sucked hose water.
December 15, 200916 yr First they're cancelling Power Rangers and now Dragon Knight. Will there be any tokusatsu left for America?!
December 15, 200916 yr I hope so. I like watching Toku, but I barely understand a few words of Japamese.
December 15, 200916 yr Same here. I pick up on words here & there with the English Subtitles, but those take too long to wait.
December 15, 200916 yr Exactly. HK subs are horrible if you're a grammar nazi and dubbing is just plain cringe-worthy at times. I hope that if there's going to be more tokusatsu here in America later on and they won't get botched. I grew up watching Power Rangers and Masked Rider, and it's hard seeing them go like that even though I don't watch them anymore. I think there was a petition online somewhere to get Dragon Knight back. But I can't seem to find it.
December 15, 200916 yr I'm part of the Order Of Zeronos Forum. But not as a Fan Subber. I also recently joined TV-Nihon's forum. Those two sites sub Kamen Rider & Super Sentai. And Power Rangers is a big part of my life. Likewise with a lot of us. Edited December 15, 200916 yr by Bobby
December 15, 200916 yr Mike, HJU has the link for that petition over on their front page in the topic for KRDK's cancellation. It seemed I was slightly mistaken. The final episode period will be 4KID's site (hoepfully) on 12-26-09. Just keep on eye out on their site for now. Who knows, maybe Disney XD will pick it up in the future. One of the main reasons why PR is getting canceled is because it doesn't have a big audience anymore. Plus a lot fo the series havent brouhgt in much revenue and it's expensive to keep all production in New Zeland. A smaller reason may be with the fact that this years' SS is samurai based. Most american shows have no problems with using Ninja motifs but using one for a samurai would be hard to adapt into an american show unless all the cast was of asian culture or mixed heritage. That wouldn't be too hard to pull off but, meh, this is Disney we're talking about.
December 15, 200916 yr Here's a link to that petition. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/krdk/ Thanks a lot man. And I agreed with what you said about Sentai getting too "Asian" for Shikenger and Goseiger even. The thing is that some Americans don't want their kids to be exposed to certain cultures yet.

My second-in-command at KRRU has been working on his own adaptation of Shinkenger: Power Rangers Elemental Blade And I figured that the mentor could have been a HUGE fan of the Japanese culture if they did Americanize Shinkenger.
December 16, 200916 yr Hey, so now Kamen Rider Dragon Knight won't be cancel according to this: Adness Entertainment: “On behalf of Kamen Rider Dragon Knight and Adness Entertainment, I wanted to personally thank all the fans for the tremendous outpouring of support we have received for the show. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is, as of now, scheduled to air through December 26, 2009. The broadcaster has the option of taking a break from the series to make way for any special programming they may have planned for January 2010. We want to assure our fans that the channel is free to bring back Kamen Rider and continue to air the series at any time. After December 26th, the last two episodes of the series will be available for online viewing on the 4Kids website. Again, thank you for watching and for your support.” So Kamen Rider Dragon Knight will resume after a short break around end of December and beginning of January. So that's great news after all! And if it won't be air on television, you still can watch the ending on 4Kids's website.
December 16, 200916 yr Let's hope we get to see those episodes on TV. I sent the petition link to some friends/fellow Rider Fans. One of them even sent it to her Yahoo! club.
December 17, 200916 yr Let's hope we get to see those episodes on TV. I sent the petition link to some friends/fellow Rider Fans. One of them even sent it to her Yahoo! club. That's good; at least they'll know we liked the series and want to see more of it. I signed the petition, myself. I hope we get to see the finale on TV, personally; it looks better on a bigger screen. And I hope it comes out on DVD sometime, at least.
