Matt Bellamy Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Looking back I neglected to ask if Matt was going to start writing again? If not will someoneelse pick up where he left off? It's just ideally like warriorguyver C's story, and it would be a shame to remain unfinished. Honestly, I cannot say for certain... Drawing has been my ultimate priority right now, and I have been being quite lazy in that department as well. With the return of Brian and such, things are in motion, and there is a very good chance writing shall take me once again. I WILL say this though. IF I do ever to fully decide not to continue the WGC fic anymore, I will at least do a plot write-up of what was to happen. There is still a lot my smaller cast has up their sleeves... And really, after all this time, I think that is the least our loyal fans deserve. However, I am not at that point just yet... However, there is Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D to play... Quote
Spartan Warlord Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I was wondering, if the authors Andre Harmon, Allan Lucas, and Mike Cox will pick their stories up or if the other active writers will? I know about real life issues and all. However I like all of the stories here, and I would at least like to know their fate. Thanks regards. Mike plans on coming back and writing more Chronicles and the Guyver XT story. just he's busy for the next year'ish. Freaking sweet go XT!!! Quote
McAvoy Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Honestly I wouldn't hold your breath. It seems only Sully is the active one here now out of the originals. Even zeo who was the most active when the site was inactive isn't that activate anymore. Real life and all that. Quote
Sully Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Honestly I wouldn't hold your breath. It seems only Sully is the active one here now out of the originals. Even zeo who was the most active when the site was inactive isn't that activate anymore. Real life and all that. Everything happens in cycles. But as I've learned over the years of running this site it's best just to run with it when things are working and make the most of it. Mike will be back and will be continuing the Cronicles story line. Just I wouldn't be expecting that to be any time soon. RL claims all at times, I'm actually arranging to move house (I'm buying one for the first time). The only reason it's not impacting me so much is I do most of my writing on the train to and from work. That hasn't changed (my little trusty netbook is the best buy I ever did for the site!) but I hope to get the big site update done before then. James is around somewhere lurking don't worry! And Matt (as he said) is focused on what drives him at the moment which is art. Sooner or later though he'll not admit it that will drive him to write something... IF he can ever get his ass away from games! Quote
McAvoy Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 My reply seemed abit harsher than it was supposed to be. One thing though is that at leats when it comes to this forum that many topics have been talked to death. With Guyver basically a cult following if anything else, it's hard to have fresh and new ideas to talk about. I also think that original fans (like myself) from the late 90's have grown up abit to the point where real life has taken hold much tighter. But I think the new rewrites being essentially new stories, perhaps with time, the forum will come back alive. There is always the possbility of introducing new blood to the site. Quote
Sully Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 My reply seemed abit harsher than it was supposed to be. No problem. Well thats the hard thing about Guyver, it is being around for ages. But again Takaya shows us something new every so often (even though a lot of you guys doesn't like it all the time... Exceed ). Real life, old age etc is what has combined for me to feel the re-write must happen. I look back at what I wrote and what I know now and think... Umm that doesn't work! But real life also means I don't get as much time to do all the things I want to do. But saying that... I've less time the last few years to work on the site, but I haven't released constant storys like I'm doing now in a long time. But I think the new rewrites being essentially new stories, perhaps with time, the forum will come back alive. There is always the possbility of introducing new blood to the site. one thing stopping the forum is that I've disabled the ability of new people to join. Thanks to SPAM bots.... When I get the current rewrite done I'll be investing a lot of time to updating the board so that it has anti-spam and the ability for people to activate their own accounts. That along with a new site update should help things along nicely. At the moment though I simply wouldn't want "new blood" to find the site the way it is at the moment, with only one story about completed in the re-write it's not in a great state for new people to find the story. As for new blood to take over some of the writing, again I wouldn't want that to happen until the re-write is finished. The new site structure is a lot more friendly to it though so yes it will be allowed to happen in the future, though only if the story's wrote are good and match up with the existing stories. Quote
