So if he can torture Cassandra, then convert her dead body to some Super Lycanlord, then who knows what he'll do to Jarrod. Hell, he might even just kill him outright.

No, I agree. There are fates much, much worse than death, probably worse than being forced to watch Care Bears for eternity.

Death, in some cases, seems almost heavenly. Like, I'm not really, afraid of dying, at least, I don't think I am anyway. I'm more afraid of how I'll die. I'd rather die all ready asleep, or completely painless. I'm not one for too much pain, though after plenty of accidents, I do have a slightly higher tolerance for pain.

Anyway, having you dead body being used by a megalomaniac to do his bidding ranks up there. Having your significant other or children (family in general) suffer that fate and you watching it, read being forced to witness it, is up there as well.
