largo Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 WTF they are insane, not only is there a risk of them destroying the planet but there's even a slim chance that they could destroy the very fabric of creation and if that starts to unwind then not even god all mighty could stop it. Oh, this is bad very, very, very bad. Quote
*zeo Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Well we're all still hear so we can safely say the odds were in our favor. . . This time around anyway Quote
largo Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Yah but I'm still totally freaked out! Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Well, the theory sounds okay. But, that's theory only. Practically....well, let's just say I hope I'm not within a light year of the thing when they try it out. Just in case... Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I think they already have? And we're still here. It's still fairly dangerous regardless. It'd definitely be a great way to test out some of the Newtonian and Einsteinian Physics though. It's a universe in a bottle! Kinda like a ship in a bottle, but not. In any case, it's best not to think of the worst case scenarios. You might find yourself in a rather uncomfortable and wet in the morning. Quote
largo Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Naw dude it's like a universe in a marble yah know from MIB the first movie. Quote
RavenShaolin Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 at the most worst we all cease to exist at the least worst we the blow up 100 miles of land if good then they suceed and we all live Quote
largo Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Yah know I think they already did it and since I didn't hear about and massive chunk of land in Europe dissapearing I think every thing is ok... I think . Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Well, as they say, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth." It might not have even worked too. Quote
largo Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 True enough but it would be scary as well you know where if something did go wrong and it opened up a hole to another dimention. Quote
Dorian Michaels Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 This has all the hallmarks of a bad scifi flick-- say we do open a door to a new dimension, only to discover it has residents and that they are not exactly friendly. That was the way the DOOM series started on Phobos and Deimos-- fiction, but you see my point. It also brings up an interesting thought-- have any of you heard of Robert A. Heinlein's World As Myth theory? Quote
WarriorZoalord Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 And someone brought this back from the depths of hades. <. Quote
nidhogg Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 at the most worst we all cease to existat the least worst we the blow up 100 miles of land if good then they suceed and we all live I think in worst case senaireo is that any and every thing can and will go horribly wrong. Doom game theory being the tip of the iceberg. best case, we're not screwed nine ways from sunday. We're doomed, dooom doom doom doom doom doomed, (huuuuuh) DOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED (smack)I didn't need that. It's always the few that screw it up for the reach of the class. Quote
