Not to long ago bloodstorm did some pics of two characters that represented two halves of his personality. Although it may not have shown I was pretty freaked out by this because I made two very simialer characters representing the two halves of my personalitys, I always thought I was the only one, like the highlander but I guess there's at least one other. Anyway since bloodstorm put up pics of his two characters I thought I would do the same. But I did this a little different while bloodstorms characters Kirsti and Nova represent his good and evil side, my characters Defectron and Shadow Mongoose represent my ego and id. Or the logical and chaotic sides of my personality.

The pic of defectrons a bit older, I thought I did a decent job on it , but I noticed a small mistake I made on it after it was made, the spikes on his tail are in frint of his wings, they should be inbetween.

All my pics of shadow mongoose were a bit outdated so I made a new one, she's sitting on top of some sort of weird thing that sort of looks like a potato monster.

ANYWAY.. The pictures are real nice.. but Defectron's image might be better if his tail was flowing backwards behind him.. giving him the whole "charging forward about to rend something limb from limb" sort of look.. He also kind of reminds me of CELL for some reason..

As for Shadow Mongoose.. I was expecting her to be pale, for some reason.. and I'm not even going to think about what that potatoe could represent in your twisted little mind, Mr.Z..

None the less, both are great Pics..

Now we just need to scedual an all out death match Between NOVA and Defectron to see who's agression and hostility could beat who's..

Actually the origenal version of Shadow Mongoose was kind of pale, Gyah! Stay out of my head! Bloodstorm keeps infiltrating my mind somehow!

When I made the picture I kind of wanted to do something more with his til which is why its doing that. As for why he reminds you of cell, could be the tail although defectrons tail is alot cooler then cells.

Yeah, Kirstie and ShadowMongooese have the potential to meet up.. but I won't be including NOVA in any rpgs.. no matter how much he begs me, for the simple fact that he's 120% invincable to everything that could ever happen...

He has to be, He's the dark half of my persona, and thus represents my inner munchkin-godmodder, amoung other things..

As for the Kirstie meeting Shadow Mongoose thing.... I'ld be tempted to draw that.. but I can't see SM's face very well.. it's all greyish with hints of facial features burried in the "differant kind of gray"

Yeah the reason why I didn't make Shadow Mongooses skin jet black like its supposed to be and just made it really dark purple is because if I made it her actual skin color it would be impossible to see anything on her face besides her eyes. If you want I could put a lighter color on her mouth and nose and send you the modified pic.

Ok I fixed it so that theres brighter colors over her mouth and nose, given that she has an anime style mouth and nose, this wasn't a difficult task, anyway if you get on aim I can send it to you if I can remember how to do that. Also what kind of connection speed do you have, if you have dial up ill have to shrink the pic down like I did the one on the web page because its 9.6 megs uncompressed.

They remind me a little of enzyme 3.

Hmmm I guess some parts of defectron look a bit like enzyme 3, I went through a whole bunch of different designs for him too before I decided I liked that one best.

Defectron is way cool, but Shadow Moongoose, isn't what I expected her to be from the physical description you gave of her in the New Order Gathering RPG. I expected to be sleaker, more physchotic in appearance.

no i just have to draw my persona characters, mine arent, as freaky as yours or bloodstorms are, but as I say to my friends, its not the appearance of the book that matters, its how well its told.

Well shadow mongoose only looks psychotic when she gets pissed off or when she's having alot of fun. Right now she's just sitting on some sort of weird potato monster so that's not really happening right now. As for the sleaker look , how do you mean? If you mean sleaker as in a more shojo style character I'm not really sure if that would work for Shadow Mongoose.

Anyway right now I'm working on the script for the pilot episode for what I eventually intend to be a web comic that will have D.J slicer and shadow Mongoose in it which will be in cell shaded 3d, it'll be taking place in the same hypercube from the battle cube rpg. I'm planning on getting the student version of Softimage XSI 4 to make Shadow Mongoose in 3d because that's supposed to be the best 3d software package for character animation, and it has a really good hair system too. I don't know if Defectron will be showing up in it or not, he'd be alot more difficult to model although I do plan to model him sooner or later.

Unique and scary is my 2 cents. Though, the wings on Shadow Mongoose kinda remind me of Anubis a bit. Nice works Z!
