daveblackeye152 Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 How long has the Guyver comic book been running? I think it's around ten years now. Since Viz stopped translating the comic (jerks) I'm wondering if Sho and company have aged any. Is Sho a adult now or is he still 16 ? Cuz it seems a littie hard to believe that a ten year long comic could take place in one year. -the first rule of fat club-
Guest Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Using my limited intellect, since Sho still has a scar on his arm from before the activation of the guyver he is still the same age. -is not to talk about fat club-
jedi-guyver Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 I'm not sure exactly but I do know that it has at least been more than a year because Sho was in the gigantic caccon for a year before he was awayken(sp).
omegaling Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 I'm guessing it's been about 2-3 years since the manga first started, with places the cast somewhere at about 19-20 years old (given the fact that there's a little downtime between major events and they don't happen one after another). But physically, Sho and Agito seemed to have stopped aging.
Matt Bellamy Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 As well, it's harder to tell, because of Takaya's art maturing. So sure, Sho looks significantly older say in book 20, when you compair it to the art in book 1.

The guyvers and the zoalords do not age since they are immortal.
Guest Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 Normail Unbonded-humans and Zoaniods do age in the GUYVER.. Once Bonded the G-Unit Scans the DNA, RNA and memorizes the bodies current conditions it then clears away all sickesss and deasieses and heals all major wounds.. then every time the Guyver is called to the host it restores the host to the axact age and health that when the unit bonded with the host.. therefor causing the host to be somewhat immortal.. Unless the host is killed in human form or the control medal is broken the host will heal from all wounds and be restored indefinitaly.. forgive my misspelings..
Guest Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 I agree with your description up to the point where your say it clears away all sickness. Other than that, I can agree completely. In order to regenerate a body, the control metal isn't simply regenerating one species, it isn't just relying on one group of DNA/RNA. I've got a question though, and the answer would make me have to refute what I just said... Sho got sick after he first bonded, but what about after the second, or third? I'm not talking about being tired, but not being able to eat anything easily until he gets used to unboosting.
Guest Posted November 6, 2003 Posted November 6, 2003 Sho got sick when he with-drew the armor for the 1st time due to the power rush of adrenaline in his system. When the Bio-booster Armor is called and attached to the host it opens up the adrenaline gland and you get one heck of a rush. When the armor is withdrawn the glands close and you come off that rush real fast. Like that sick feeling you get just after you were in a fight. Yes show gets a little sick each time he un bio-boosts but after a said amount of time one becomes used to that felling. The feelings include but are not limited to: - Light headedness - Loss of balance - Stomach ach - Vomiting - Etcetera GOD I KNOW TO MUCH

"I Hey I couldn't tell her you where in shock from being covered by that slime montster". Considering all that happened to Sho he's only ever had mental issues with using his unit (because he is not a hard a ruthless person like Agito). He got sick after he realised he killed his dad. Not because of the unit made him ill and he did not even have it active at the time. The most a Guyver#s host has from ill effects is from over exercting themselves from fighting too long and using the Gigantic armour. Which equal a good nights sleep and they are fine. Most of the time they deactvate the unit and nothing happens other than the unit turns off. You speak big but hide away from direct quotes. As for the real question do Guyvers age. It is impossible to tell without Takaya doing something like bringing the story forward 20 years. Reason been he artisitic style has changed alot since book 1 and 21. You can tell just by comparing the old version of 1 to the new version of book 1 and looking at Guyver 2. So any debate on age leads no where. Topic locked, do not start another one on Guyvers aging or PM me.
