*BananaKing Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 What's it called, I want to see if its been dubbed, I liked the dubbed voices Quote
durendal Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I'm not sure about the english title. But I think it was Yu Yu Hakusho the Movie: Poltergeist report. Released in DVD back in 2006 by Central Park Media. Quote
*BananaKing Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Its that movie?! I thought that was a stupid movie, but now I gotta watch it Quote
Guest Inu Youkai Liz Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 The Poltergeist Resport that the English dub of Yu Yu Hakusho Meikai Shitou Hen, huh? Interesting.....I'll look for it Quote
*BananaKing Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 You can find it pretty easily Quote
Guest Mistakenness Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I love it ! One of my favorite manga ever. Quote
Renegade Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 You should all know that the english dub of the movie had different VAs...terrible ones. Quote
*BananaKing Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 Really? All of the VAs in the series were pretty good as far as american dubbing Quote
Renegade Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I know, that's why the different VAs seems so terrible, because Funimation did such a good job! Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Man I need to see this film! Hiei at his full potential vs Yuske with his new powers! That will be awesome! Hiei will destroy all in his path! Quote
Archangel Ashes Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Even though the voice acting was different it was still a good movie. Like I wish Funimation would do what they're doing with the DBZ movies and do it for the Yu Yu movie. Quote
ParaParaJMo Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I remember renting the Poltergeist Report 10 years ago. I haven't seen that one since, but I remember enjoying it. I also bought the entire series when Best Buy was having their DVD half price sales with anime. So I got the entire series for $50!!! Just finished the part where Yusuke beats Toguro Quote
*BananaKing Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 The Sensui fight is still my favorite battle Quote
*guyver403 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 for the longest time i considered yyh one of my top 3 animes (maybe it has fallen a bit but it will always be a fav) i agree sensui is the bet villain and best fight is a toss up between yusuke versus younger toguro in the finals of the dark tournament or i personally really liked the fight with suzaku, chapter black is my favorite saga as well....i think yyh might get more points with ppl if it wasnt for the lackluster 3 kings saga, most of the anime was so beautifully done and while the three kings saga has some good moments..it was obvious they were trying to slap a finished sticker on the series Quote
ParaParaJMo Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 My sister let me borrow the first two volumes of the manga. I'm surprised the trials of Yusuke were mostly cut out in the anime. I liked the one where he helps his old friend succeed as a boxer, I was disappointed that was cut out of the anime. But I honestly did enjoy the fight with Suzaku a lot. Quote
*BananaKing Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Yes, the saint beats saga was very cool to watch. It was great to see Yusuke's training with Genkai in action Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I still dont have a fovarite fight scene, maybe because they're al done so well? I dont know. But I did like it when Hiei and Kurama fought the members of Toguro's team. Quote
*BananaKing Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Kurama vs Karasu, yes. Hiei vs Bui, no. Hiei is always so overconfident and arrogant and you know that he's not going to lose. Karasu owned Kurama for almost all of their battle except for when Yoko appeared! I love Yoko's lung cancer voice Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Of course you know hiei is always going to win. He's Hiei! He can never lose! Quote
*BananaKing Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Yes I know, but characters like that sort of get old after a while Quote
durendal Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Well I for one see the significant similarities of Hiei and Vegetta of Drgonball. Just look at their hairstyle for godsakes. Chapter Black was not one of my favorites so when it went to the three kinds I was sorta excited, but the ending was really disappointing. It feels like Togashi rushed the ending, even though the art in the mange is already rushed. Quote
*BananaKing Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 Yes the series was full of surprises. I really enjpoyed the Yoko Kurama battle against team uriatogi, next to the obvious team toguro battles, they were the most interesting team to face Quote
*BananaKing Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 Eh, the series should've ended with sensui. The series should've ended with Yusuke having the chance to explore his demonic past, but instead decides that "there are more important things for me to think about" and he means keiko. The whole series led up to the secret and awkward romance between the two, so the series should've ended with Yusuke keeping his humanity and discarding his old "demonic" nature of fighting and accept a new destiny that he should've known all along; to be with Keiko his soulmate. The three kings saga was just a rushed saga with some last minute closure that really wasn;t as special as anything else. It lacked substance unlike the rest of the series. The Spirit Detective was cool cause it was all detective work and what-not. The Dark Tornement was grueling battle after battle leading up to a grudge match. and the Chapter Black saga was just so brilliantly written and so provacative. Three Kings....was just three kings and one of them dies...some how our three (not 4 for some odd reason...) become caught up in it and have to settle everything. It blew... Quote
durendal Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 3 probably because Kuwabara is the only human among the 4 of them. I find it funny how they turned Kuwabara into a nerd at the end. Quote
