I agree with everything Zeo said in his first post i think we discussed some of this in the science lab before ( the extent of the interaction with and effect on the host, and the whole Sho growing with the suit issue- because for that time sho IS the suit)... not sure you can say how heavy the XD SHOULD be? but i get your point ( it was 4000 tonnes lighter than Draglord!!) As for the Control Medal being organic i dont think it would need to be 'Organic' to grow in size, more energy can equal more mass it just depends how the energy is used. The suit/ Guyver organism is obviously capable of converting the extra energy into more organic matter to grow larger, and the medal is a part of the suit. at a fundamental level EVERYTHING is energy, thus alive, we dont know if the medal is metal but even if it was metal its still 'alive' at some level of exsistence so has the capability to grow. even ash has energy making it exsist (atoms etc.) even though the ready available convertable energy has been burnt away its still in a sense 'alive'... I think bones and brains etc will try to heal themselves whatever happens, as thats what they are doing continuosly anyway...we get a new body something like every 6 months or something( cant remember exact timescale) thats because every cell in our body is constantly dieing and being replaced or regrown with the energy that we intake through oxygen and food.... thus I think that a damaged control medal has the POTENTIAL to be restored to its former glory, maybe it would take a very long time to do so if it was 'organic' and was regenerating itself. it obviously doesnt repair the same as the organic part of the suit which regenerates in the boost dimension relatively quick.... BUT if it wasnt truly 'organic' i think it would ( kind of steering back to the original topic) come back to the interaction and consciousness of the host with the medal and suit....Guyver 2s medal may have had the potential to have been repaired but Lisker didnt wear it for long and had no real connection with the suit as sho does with G1 now.... i think if Sho's medal was damaged he could possibly focus the boost dimension energy to regenerate the medal as long as he stayed in the suit or possibly the cocoon????

GUUUUYVERRRRR!!!! and letting blood from badass monsters -which big 14 year old kid ( or big 28 year old kid) aint gonna love that!!!???!!! VIZ RELEASE Manga COMICS - viz started releasing the Manga so i had two volumes worth of those,until i realised i didnt have the money to keep buying a Manga that basically was showing me the same thing as the anime- i was collecting other Manga aswell and i was only 15 so didnt have that much cash! and then when i realised that the Manga viz released didnt get further than the Anime i was gutted!! about the only long running Manga viz saw through from that time was Ranma 1/2 !!! dropping all time classic long running series such as Fist of the north star and Guyver!!??!! ( there only saving grace for me was Crying Freeman!!!!) GUYVER 1 (x2), Guyver 3, Guyver GIGANTIC, GIGANTIC DARK - That Guyver 3 must have been the last one for sale in the world on the net, i only discovered too late about the max factory figures to buy one from ebay or wherever at a sensible price, i found it on some asian toy site it was there last one and i had to mess about getting them to ship to the UK. OFFICAL US RELEASE OAV DVDS - yes i bought the US OFFICAL oav release dvds but i didnt like the whole digitized picture thing where the lines are fuzzy not sTRAIGHT!!! so i took a punt on the HK bootleg edition as i was planning on taping my original vhs' to dvd and it appears to me anyway that the bootleg is a better picture -ironic eh TV SERIES DVDS fan subbed (sadly purchased on ebay)... I hate downloading! I agree with V Guyver in that the Creators surely realised it wasnt just the Guyvers power that was destructive it was the 'guyver' nature of the human host aswell.... Larz zhan i like the phrase ' boosted armor booster' its more descriptive than 'cocoon' . i think the cocoon was just a shell for Sho to regenerate in aswell as the creation of the Gigantic, i dont think the cocoon was instrumental in creating the Gigantic itself, it was just a safe protected place for sho to be built back cell by cell and also the new Gigantic weapon to evolve and so eventually the Gigantic popped out when the process was finished... didnt sho ask the Relic to do whatever it did anyway, so really it was Shos idea, his will.....( if i had time id go and read the volumes that mention all this and try n get a more precise idea!) Maybe if we knew what the Creators actual bodies were we could have a better idea of what the Guyver looked like with them in it, if the unit G did already have the gigantic at its disposal then it would only make them bigger and maybe relatively stronger but not to the human interaction level of course. if it did have size changing capabilities before it would only have served as a temporary tool to use for exploration...i doubt the Creators would want to inhabit a world where their true relative size was that of ' vertically challenged people' - there would be no point. come to think of it im not sure that the cocoon appears eveytime its boosted, does it? as the past couple of times the armour has just appeared. if it does always appear then possibly its because the cocoon thought form is assosciated with the Gigantic and thats why it is still housed inside it when it comes from the boost dimension. maybe it could be used as v Guyver hinted as a kind of generation chamber.... but if we look at the exceed its not the case it just kind of grew ( we wernt really shown were we?) but if you notice the orbs ( cant remember proper name) on the Gigantics shoulders, forearms and legs at the time of the transformation ( and the forming of the mini blackhole) they were bulging in size which i think probably indicates an influx of massive amounts of energy (from the boost dimension) thus increasing the energy, cell production and therefore mass and internal energy to grow to the magnificent XD/ Exceed!!!!!

well the coloured Archanfel that we have seen pics of for ages is obviously a coloured model prototype for what the figure would look like and the white Alchanphel is the uncoloured ARTICULATED prototype figure.. thats why i said... They are both prototypes one a model the other an articulated model neither will be for sale but the white Alky is what we will eventually get but made with coloured plastic (or whatever its made of)

Thanks largely to the contributions of Ryuki and Zeo... heres my suming up/take of whats been proposed plus a little more, see if you agree: The armour of the suit is in another dimension yet the organism still lives inside the hosts cells such as in the mitochondrial diagram, then when the armour is activated the dormant guver mitochondria bio boosts , making its energy production kick in or it could just be a receptive conduit for the influx of boost dimension energy( e.g the 'guyver mitochondria' may not actually produce the energy within itself but still act as a 'mitochondria' cell by releaseing the energy incoming from the boost dimension into the host after the Bio Boost occurs), thus modifying the hosts cells and or energy levels and inturn possibly the guyvers making its energy stronger. Along side this mitochondrial theory we could say that there could be dormant Guyver messenger RNA (and any other RNA types needed for the transformation) to go with the theory we had on the guyver's modification of the host RNA's interpretation of the host's original DNA to modify the host's organs,bones,muscles etc.so that 1.the hosts body acomodates the physical armour and bio weapon and 2. can withstand the forces exerted on the Guyver in combat. on the nature of the Guyver organism... I have neglected to call the Guyver organism a parasite because that would mean it was harming the host,it's nature only seems parasitic when it actually 'attacks' a host by destroying them ... as far as im aware it isnt subtley harming sho or agito (that we know of), this should mean then that, as it is for Sho and Agito, it is just a symbiote. This symbiotic relationship, if as the theory above, would be a 'facultative endosymbiosis' where one thing lives inside another where 'the relationship is beneficial but not essential to survival of the organisms'' and also a 'Mutualistic sybmbiosis' which is ' a biological interaction between individuals of two different species, where both individuals derive a fitness benefit, for example increased survivorship'... this seems right to me as the Guyver needs a host to be active but obviously doesnt need it to live or it just wouldnt exsist, but the host may increase its 'survivorship'. The host may not gain anything per se until the armour is activated and the Bio Boost takes effect and obviously becoming a Guyver increases 'survivorship'. ( as it makes the host hard as nails and able to take on Cronos )

its taken quite a few years to get that decent DBZ stuff tho! the old Bandai ones in hindsight were cak, the new ones are cool tho, but i suppose action figures have come a long way since then... i dont see why they dont bring some decent figures of Naruto out instead of loads of crap,there have been 3 that were any good.. this is the Naruto the other 2 were sasuke and Kakashi...(i'll shut up about Naruto now!) Sorry about that rant above back to the original topic.....Archanfel will dffinately be my first choice. Ive just noticed something ..the 'Albino' Archanfel is actually different to the coloured one, its stance is different its being held by the ?posing rod? ( whats it called??) its got different hands and if you look close seems to be jointed at the inner thigh, head and chest unlike the coloured one! so it must be the articulated prototype... hopefully an encouraging sign progress is being made :wink:

I feel your pain Kyouki am I about to incur wrath?? by saying dont knock Naruto- its cool!! fair enough the overmerchandising of crap is over the top, but look at the simpsons which is surely undisputabley a great show and has just about everything that you could slap a logo or characterise a product with available to buy... just like everything else its all about the £. I suppose the two things become dependant -simpsons 17 years is it?im sure the merchandising had some sort of effect on the popularity of the show, surely the same for dragonball Z in the 80's and early 90's inJapan, Naruto's popularity is global i think because of the age its appeared in, to me its a good Manga so thats to do with it, but also its accessible to fans everywhere....forget the usa version which is shockingly f'in crap,but you can get weekly updates of japanese episodes over the net etc, the scale for poularity is immense... all this popularity like it did for Toriyama with DBZ encourages the Manga creator to have to keep churning it out...The Guyver seems to be a cult Manga ,its popular but not 'quick lets make Guyver toilet roll and Guyver fishing bait hooks' (like the simpsons)popular. Toriyama was a machine and knocked out 42 volumes in 9 years for DBZ until he got sick of it...i think we should be greatfull that Guyver is still going! how old is it now? like 23 years and we only have 26 volumes...as long as we still like it and Takaya still wants to tell the story we should be happy its still around:cool:

hmmm... thanks for that . i thought it was a bit strange there being a single ebay seller offering it for sale/preorder, as Hong Kong etc. dealers and other European sellers are usually pretty keen to sell when the figures come out. i guess no one has any info on release dates then? is it just me or is it ages since we first saw the pics for the Archanfel prototype? do we think they will even be released ?

Whats happened to the Guyver Figures? I'll try n make this my last long brain farting post! Yes! Good point Ryuki - it seems my first statement that the Guyver restructures the human body fundamentally at a cellular level was correct but i went on overkill by stateing DNA in the next breath, causing a bit of confusion ( iblame my memory havent read or really needed to think about DNA for about 6 years!), if i would have brushed up on it i might have realised this sooner :wink: So we are saying that The Guyver somehow sends signals to the hosts RNA to read and translate the hosts exsisting DNA a diferent way thus creating the amino acids into different combinations of proteins makeing the cells of the organs (etc.) to grow differently to accomodate the Guyver suit... woo hoo that sorts how the host is modified (more or less)! regarding the genetic library i would say seeing that we have 98% same DNA as chimps and Bonobos n a high percentage the same as mice its highly probable that we have the potential of probably every singe organism that exsists or has exsisted on earth inside us... seeing as some zoanoids blatantly have animlas as their foundation it would be likely that that is their base ..the weapons would require a lot more engineering by the cronos geneticsts i would have thought?though id say it was possible it would just be very complicated to figure out and get everything to grow to the desired functioning weapon .. as for the Guyver i statred to wonder if the Guyver could grow out of humans DNA but that would mean that the Guyvers DNA ( i presume it grows like that?) is made the same as humans... if it is of alien design maybe it has more or less number of nucleic acids and could even have completely different acids forming its DNA making it impossible for a human to just shapeshift to a guyver. maybe the difference in the DNA could be why the combination of Guyver and humans is so powerfull (as i think Zeo alluded too)- because the Guyvers DNA was based on the same as the Creators ? presumeably they created the guyvers before they came to earth and started tinkering with earth organisms, and the difference of the humans/ earthlings DNA interacting with that DNA based on the Creators caused some extraordinary reaction at.........a cellular level

I agree everybodys view or theory is as valid as the next, if everyone agreed or we knew all the answers there would be nothing to discuss would there!?!, and i dont like to come across argumentitive, but some views or theories are naturally more or less logical than others, which is why i am thankfull for your replies Zeo as you have raised things i have either overlooked or forgotten. i totally understand i may not be completely right about how the Guyver interacts with the host or some other things in life! but im just trying to be logical - the only person to have the final say - even if in the end it turned out to not be 100% factually correct, is the master of the (guyver) universe! Takaya well at least someones agrees about it interacting in someway with DNA!... '' Though we do have the nature of the parasitic organism to help support this idea as in part that is what the parasitic organism does, it assimulates the DNA of its victims/prey but the CM keeps it from completely assimulating the host and instead uses it to help manipulate the host body for mutual benefit. Producing the Bio-Booster effect, at least that is how I view it.'' I like that. If a trip back to the Boost Dimension is all they need to rejuvenate themselves, then it seems as if the answer when either Guyvers in deep doo doo is to just retract the Guyver then boost again immediately after :wink: ... maybe the timespace difference would allow it to regenerate before it came back to our dimension seemingly instantly... it might be awkward if the host has lost a limb etc. then we would be able to see Agito or Sho well battered...but maybe them being in so much pain would make them pass out thus they wouldnt be able to call the Guyver back..hmm bad idea. duuude it changes the structure of the lungs, thus they are not really lungs as we know them anymore, yes they maybe squashed lungs but they are not the same lungs! if you agree that the lungs change size,shape and function then that means that the nucleic acids of the base pairs of genes inside the double helix of the chromosomes, inside the nucleus told the cells of the lungs to grow to a certain size eg not the same as normal thus meaning the dna has been changed to a state that is not the normal human lung therefore the information the genes give the cells to grow has been changed. if you squish a grape yes its still a grape! if you crush n puncture a lung its still a lung but, if you use genetics to change the size or shape or original genetic base of a fruit or vegetable (why gm food can be bigger and be immune to pesticides etc) then yes its still the same fruit or vegetable but its cell's dna's been changed, even if only by less than 0.1%.its changed. sigh. i didnt say the DNA is changed to store more energy did i? i said ''it probably wouldnt need to change the DNA for the cells to just hold more energy''. if so, yeah it probably would be mtDNA if it was extra chemical energy, but i dont know, once you start verging away from the fundamentals of basic DNA theory then there are all sorts of nucleuic acids to start thinking about aswell as stuff inside the original proteins -so f that. anyone more thoughts on the gigantic transformation?

Zeo - So it could literally bond to anything with a brain and the outcome would be random as to wether it was super powerful like the guver/human hybrid or moderately more powerful like the creators/ Guyver hybrid...o.k - chaos! I think i agree with you in that the Guyver grows into the gigantic but just how does the transition happen? i cant recall seeing a detailed scene where we see the actual progress of the process happen , it just appears behind the Guyver then we get close ups of the arms, legs head etc then the finished product. seeing as the Gigantic armour appears formed at the scale of the Gigantic theres would have to be a point where it attaches ... this could happen either by 1. the host 'growing' or assimilating into it, but for this to happen the Gigantic would really have to come out the same size as the Guyver for the parts to fit, then grow to 9ft. or 2. that the Guyver starts to grow simultaneously as the armour attaches, other wise the pre formed body plates wouldnt fit? ....It would be interesting to see it animated form one wide angle, to see what happens. Young Guyver - i think when it says that the control medal prevents the armor from absorbing the host DNA it means that the Guyver doesnt just let the parasite turn the host to DNA glop like Guyver 2 did to Ozward a Risker. How else do you think it restructures the internal organs? its not just by giving them more 'power', if the dna didnt change then neither would the proteins that make up the structure of the internal organs...weve established that it does these things from the VDF, i would call having my lungs shrunk to make way for a megasmasher organ, internal organs shrunk, and a new respiratory organ created being genetically modified/ restructured/ changed, wouldnt you? i could be wrong that the bones and muscles arent modified only amplified the VDF says ''the bones and muscles are greatly enhanced by bonding with the bio- boost organism''so thats not too precise. it does say that the legs and arms are enhanced by the gravity controlled amplifiers, though it also says that the grappling is unmatched by zoanoids... this may mean that the pressure exerted on the Guyver by its attacker doesnt even effect the host because the gravity controller nullifies the force as it is exerted? if it isnt that then the bones and muscles would need to be enhanced to take such pressure on them otherwise the Guyver host's leg and arms would just snap! As for the POWER yes it probably wouldnt need to change the DNA for the cells to just hold more energy...i think the power would just be extra electrical energy charge stored by the cells that is then used for the body structure inside seeing as there is no fuel from food etc and also by the weapons as needed.

Good points Takara , i think in two ways - too realistically and surealistically for this discussion ive been thinking the former... i conccur The boosted armour isnt just armour and does bond with the hosts biology though i still am not sure how much it would enhance the x powers ... the way i see it is that the only inherent 'power' that the Guyver can enhance of a 'normal' human is that it can make them run faster and punch and kick harder and that is because it enhances the muscles and bones and also amplifies that enhacncement with the leg and arm amplifiers... As for the X Powers manifesting 'outside' the Guyver it probably would be possible BUT i think the cause would be if the X gene mutates the actual armour rather than the armour mutating the mutated genes further!! in which case you could have all possible powers etc manifesting from the Guyver suits mutated DNA, so you might get mutations of its weapons like insanely powerfull head beams, instant regeneration, the gravity orb may allow them to fly / move close to light speed, the high frequency blades maybe able to cut space/time etc etc... this has made me think of other stuff related to the Guyver units, seeing as these have nothing to do with x men i have started a new post to discuss them if anyones interested??.....look for this thread in the Guyver Science LabInteraction between The BIO Armour Guyver and Sho + other Life forms, Is the Armour Shos Skin? and other random thoughts

Theres been a discussion on xmen and the Guyver suit and how they would/could interact.... its made me think about how the Guyver actually interacts with the human body... Seeing as the Guyver is a 'human body instant remodelling system' that means that it 'remodels' or restructures the human body fundamentally at a cellular level, we know this in that it restructures the DNA to strengthen the muscles, bones, heart and eyes... it also interacts with the human body by degenerating the lungs and other internal organs. i didnt realise that the Guyver totally restructered Shos body... so does that mean the only thing that remains of Sho when he bioboosts are his brain, degenerated organs and enhanced bones,muscles,heart and eyes? thats got to feel real weird! ''its growing inside of me!'' i recall he says on the oav's english intro. what happens to Shos skin? does the armour become shos skin? Also what happens to the Guyvers body when it goes inside the Gigantic? is it like an exo skeleton where it matches shos movements inside because its surrounding him? or does the Guyver interact with the Gigantic like the Guyver unit interacts with Shos human body? eg it 'remodels' the Guyver to the Gigatic preportions...which means Sho actually grows to 9ft! i also wonder what the Creators physical form was like? were they a bipedal humanoid race, or were they mamillian or insectoid? if they were humanoid that would explain the Guyvers appearance ie it looks like a human but like a Guyver - if that makes sense! and that would mean that it was only a mental factor that triggered the powers of the Guyver to be so efficent in a humans hands- or in its body! and not some sort of exact physical compatibility that allowed such a strong symbiosis between Guyver and humans. if the Creators were a different kind of race does that mean that it would boost around any form? e.g an alien that looked like a giant spider ...would the Guyver boost around it and take the arachnid spider form? or would it remodel it to be a human bipedal form and just look the same as on a human?????? i dont have a clue just thought id through it out there i cant comment on whatevers happened to the suit more recently cause im stuck on book 22...(anyone give me a link to the translation please?) anyway anyone got any ideas on the thoughts above?

Dude your post is somewhat confusing, though i think i get the jist of it... 1.I think youre saying what would happen if mutants went through the Zoanoid processing?and would they be stronger? i think if the mutants powers are physical it would probably render there powers useless once they have changed to a zoanoid because there DNA is obviously changed at a base level therefore their DNA structure or genetic ' defects' that cause the mutant powers would change probably turning their powers 'off' and leaving them just as a normal zoanoid or if their DNA was able to stay the same through manipulation at processing their powers would just co exsist with their zoanioid powers so they would be a zoanoid with their original mutant power, the Zoaforming is just a manipulation of DNA thus the scientists have to work with what is already there and add 'extras' to manifest at transformation . These extras arent really 'powers' as such they are only extra muscle mass and biological weapons probably fuelled by biological processes and electrical energy in the body... so they would be stronger by the fact they had a stronger body and their original power combined i dont think their original powers would be enhanced though. 2.i dont know indepth about x men mutants but if their powers are psychic then its obviously the same as above as far as normal zoanoids and their physical bodies are concerned. however if we are talking about Zaolord processoing then thats obviously a whole lot different - The Zoacrystals obviously enhance their psychic ability with telepathic and i guess telekenetic manipulation possible of zoanoids... this means to say that Professor X and Jean Grey would be off the scale with their abilities if someone shoved a Zoacrystal in their head, the mind, well consciousness, is the most powerfull thing in exsistence, its only limits are what it can think of, so i really think that if they didnt need to be processed to recieve the crystals then they would be no need for their bodies to be processed. (That being said are Jean Gray and Prof X really mutants as far as their bodies DNA goes? i would say that the only part of their being that is mutated is there pineal, pituitary, thalamus,hypothalamus, etc. etc. parts of their brains that makes them psychic....) 3.With regards to Mutants donning a Guyver unit i really dont think it would enhance their powers in anyway if anything probably inhibit them depending on their ability of course, the Bio Boosted Armour is just that isnt it - Armour... a shield for the person inside. Yes it becomes somewhat of a symbiotte but the only connection it has with the body is the brain through the control medal and the antenna things on the back, so for someone like ( cant remeber his name) the russian guy whos body turns to steel it wouldnt do jack drenn would it ? hed just be steel inside the Guyver suit. for someone like the angel dude maybe the suit would just attach around his wings then youd have a wing flapping flying Guyver - if the gravity orb was knackered! as for cyclops his power flows directly through his optic nerves therefore the optic blasts could only come through the Guyvers eyes if the armour allowed it (if not he might blow his own head up!) the only way the power could be rerouted through the head beam was if he willed it to happen which then leads back to the question how much of the mutants powers are physical and how much is mental?? That being said though if the guyvers legs are chopped off then so is the host's and it obviously regenenerates as does the hosts leg so it really depends where the interaction of the hosts body and the Guyver starts and stops, it seems as if when fighting the Guyver is just armour around the body, but if needs be (like for limb or whole body regeneration)then it interacts on a cellular level- in which case it might be possible for the X mutants powers to manifest 'outside' the Guyver ??????if so then it would enhance the abilities of the Guyver because it would have the mutants power but i dont think the Guyver would nhance the mutants power...... who knows?? - i doubt Yoshiki Takaya has even thought about it that in depth!?! hope this rambling has answered some of your questions( from my point of view anyway!)
