Just got my 52nd Wiki article up; in honor of my new/old fandom, it's Teknoman.

I just had kind of a funny thought about my efforts to get a Wii and games to play on it: it was kind of like a scavenger hunt. I mean, I went to Target to buy Tatsunoko VS Capcom, Costco for the Wii itself, and Game Stop for Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

I've found an entire forum for Teknoman, which is great, since I've been rediscovering my passion for that for awhile. It's nice to be able to talk to people who like that series as much as I do. They even have a topic about Guyver, which is kind of fun.

I set a new record in Survival mode yesterday: 40 straight wins, with a Tekkaman Blade/Tekkaman teamup. It's going to be my last for awhile, though; my thumbs demand a break, and I'm going to fix up some gaming gloves for myself so my hands don't sweat so much when I go in for the kind of marathon-sessions I usually do in Survival mode. All in all, though, it was very satisfying to break my old record.

Another little something I whipped up for my Teknoman story; an altered screencap this time.

Since I'm having so much fun writing my Teknoman AU, and Teknoman is the dubbed version of Uuchu no Kishi Tekkaman Blade, I thought it would be kinda fun - since I've been using the titles of the episodes in the dubbed version as names for my chapters - to make up a list of the "undubbed" version of my chapter names. Or, as I like to think of it, Uuchu no Kishi Tekkaman Jiemini.

Yay.

It's entirely too darn hot today; not quite as hot as it was the last time, thankfully, but this is nuts. It's the beginning of September, for cripes sake.

Got another chapter of my Teknoman story finished just a couple minutes ago.

Ah; my best characters are: Blade Chun-li Ryu Tekkaman Morrigan But I haven't unlocked all of them quite yet.

Just unlocked Blade yesterday; teamed him up with Tekkaman, and kicked some serious ass in Survival mode. 22 wins; not quite up to my record 29 with Tekkaman and Morrigan, but pretty good if I do say so myself.

Thanks for the info, Toku. Really looking forward to unlocking Blade, I've gotta say.

I also got the Kamen Rider Dragon Knight game, but I haven't started playing it yet. There are over 56,000 posts on this board, and over 3,000 of them are mine. How fun.

Is there some special method to unlocking Tekkaman Blade? I've been using Tekkaman himself as my starting character, but I'd really like to play with Blade in my team, too. Though I've found that Chun-li, Ryu, and Jun the Swan make pretty good backups in a pinch. I've also gotten 29 wins in Survival mode, now.

Ah; then I'll probably want to pick up a memory card later.

That's nice of you. And Yeah, I do love that game. I'm going to go get Kamen Rider Dragon Knight today, too.

I got it! I got my Wii! I just need to get some memory cards to save my progress on, and I'll be good to go. I couldn't resist a quick game of Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, though, and I managed to rack up 17 consecutive wins on my first try.

Heading off to Costco today, to pick up a Wii and - hopefully - the KRDK videogame. Later, of course, after the rest of the family has actually woken up. And my sister's finished her workday, of course.

The only good thing about going to Costco is that it's a warehouse; plenty of room to walk, and enough room for noise to spread out so it isn't deafening to be in there. Other than that... not one of my favorite places.

Well, the bad news is I haven't got my Wii yet. The good news is that Mom and I are going to be heading over to Costco this Sunday to pick one up. She says Saturdays are a madhouse, and from what I've seen, I believe her.

The Wii I wanted was out of stock at Target, but Mom found one that's lower priced at Costco. So, that's where we're going today. I did manage to get a game for myself, though: Tatsunoko VS Capcom. I'm really looking forward to playing it.
