  1. Well, here is my desktop for the month of September, in honor of the ending series of Kamen Rider OOO.
  2. None of us really know as of yet what his symbol is. We'll most likely get an image of it once a Gambaride card for his character gets released.
  3. Thanks. notice rules' 3 & 4? rule #3 is set after what you and I have been talking about via PM and rule #4 is set after having read that 2 page blog headbutt between Spectre 555 and yourself...did i say that nice enough? This is definitely new ground for Kamen Rider in general. quick bit, but I think (don't read if you have not seen the OOO finale) I guess the suit might grown on me but I have no intention of possibly buying things from this series. I still can't stand that blasted belt of his. Heck, it makes the Decadriver, Double-driver, IXA-driver and even the Rouzer look small in comparison. I think Youtube does have a few videos. Let me see. Remember, we might not have these videos for very long as we all know how anal Toei is getting with the YT hosting of any video containing Sentai and Rider footage. 5. Okay people, OOO is over with now so that means that Fourze will be starting this weekend. As it is with all the other past series that we have discussion thread for, here are the rules with a couple new ones added on. Rule 1: Keep the discussion to the series of topic. If using a reference of another series to compare a certain event to one shown in the show then please do so carefully. Rule 2: Do not post regular episode info about a newly aired episode until 1 day after either TV-Nihon and/or Over-Time Fansubs have released their subbed episodes. If you do wish to post this type of info before the sub is available then please use spoiler tags. (trust me, it's worth it for the newbies) Rule 3: If placing a spoiler for an event in a spoiler tag and you find the need to add a comparison to a previous Rider series in with it, make sure to place the other Rider series event in its own spoiler tag within the main spoiler tag. (Yeah, confusing but you all should be able to get it after a couple of tries). Rule 4: Respect the fan-dom. Just because you may not like this series as a whole or just certain episodes does not give you the right to bash the opinions of those that do. Any violation of these rules will either have the post edited for content or have their post deleted (this part only in the most extreme of measures and cases of violation). These rules also apply to me as well in which case the Admin and Mod's have the right to enact any justice that they see fit for this topic. And now, without any further delay, I can only say one thing. erhem...cough....cough....Uchuu Kitaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
  6. Yeah, that's a good way to look at it.
  7. Sorry, I meant that you're mostly new to just the Heisei Era in general but not to Kamen Rider as a whole. Yeah, the purple combo, PuToTyra is his strongest form. the red combo, TaJaDor, is the OOO equivalent of Double's Fang-Joker form. I'm just glad to see it get used one last time.
  8. Guys, I've created a PM for us to use for the sharing of the scripts, video and such so that we can post the download links in there.
  9. Over-Time already has it subbed? Gee, and here I was thinking it wasn't out yet. Shows you how much sleep I'm running on. Yeah, forgot Odin is practically new to KR. And so is Durendal mostly when it comes to the Heisei era but he's viewing them by streaming as best he can.
  10. Understandable...but here I thought you would never read a spoiler tag until the sub was out. Well, Sorry about the slip. Though I do wonder how many times people, including myself, have made this same mistake with both Blade and other Rider series.
  11. Okay then, I watched the final episode and gave it a day to let it settle into my mind. Now here's my opinion. Eiji also returned to being human so the Greeeds are no more. For Kaijin, the Greeeds were actually interesting but many of them were often downplayed from their true potential but only allowed to shine in episodes leading up to their deaths. The only Greeed that lived up to its potential throughout nearly the whole series are Ankh and Kazari. That's it for now, the spoiler tags will be removed once TVN releases their subbed episode. Then we can have a complete series overview.
  12. Well, the final episode is out in RAW format so I'm downloading it now. I'll place my views on the series finale inside a spoiler tag when the time comes and then remove the tag about 2-3 days after TVN releases their subbed version.
  13. Sounds interesting. I do have an idea of sorts though. The main prominent color pattern more most series is either: Red, Blue, Pink, Yellow and Green or Red, Blue, Pink, Yellow and Black I could create a circular emblem that has five solid figures, each one just a single color, standing as a group within the circle. So I would just do the outline of the initial logo and then I can upload the PS document to media fire and send it to Ryuki for him to do his coloring and creative magic to it to bring it to life and then he can send it to Odin who would do the final touches on the design, adding what he would think would be appropriate for the loge. If you guys think this is good let me know and I'll start on it Monday once I get my day off from work that day. Odin, once you finish the rough transcript make sure to send copies of it to Durendal, Ryuki and myself so we can go over it. Then we can edit it some and then, once we decide on the final version, I can take the episodes I have on disc and copy them to one of my external hard drives and use that as a base load for the video so that I can start the video editing. Sad thing will only be is that all the videos are subtitled but I'm sure we can work around that. Once I finish the rough video (meaning no effects added yet), I'll upload it and send you all a copy and then we can go from there.
  14. Well, I don't know what font it is but I do have a site link where you can go and download nearly hundreds of different fonts. Maybe you can find it there. http://www.fontriver.com/
  15. Durendal, Ryuki and I were just going over the power up modes that senshi groups such as AbaRanger, DekaRanger, MagiRanger, GekiRanger ShinkenGer and even Goseiger gain throughout the course of the series production. As to what the project is, is a mixture of both a review and a history lesson. It is primarily a review of one Sentai series in general per episode but it will also have the basic generic history of Super Sentai given in the beginning of certain episodes such as our 1st episode. Then over the course of other episodes pertaining to Super Sentai when a certain subject seen a newer series is brought up we can bring up a bit more history pertaining to those scenes and/or subjects that may have been started in older series. For example, if we were doing an episode on Boukenger and then we got to the part where BoukenSilver enters the series we could then make the quick reference on how it follows the style set by ZyuRanger as it was the series that made the 6th additional member a permanent constant in future Sentai series. That kind of thing. In short, it's a series based on reviewing a single Sentai series in general at a time while also going over some of the basic history of the franchise as it pops up throughout said series. The 1st episode of the project will have most of the basic info brought up as an introduction to the project to give the viewers some insight into the franchise.
  16. @Durendal - yeah, that's the basic layout of GekiRanger all right. @Ryuki - Whoops, sorry, I was half asleep when i replied to your post. Yeah, I think Toku's Legend would work fine. Hey, is it me or did the Ranger's super forms (extra modes for the team) not appear until AbaRanger?
  17. Well guys, it's been a heck of a ride with this series. but, sadly, it is coming to an end this Sunday as the final episode airs. So, in response to this series, all discussion should be held after TV-N releases their sub so that those who watch Kamen Rider that way will be able to view it and then take part in the discussion without the worry of spoilers. So let's all post our views, pros and cons on the series, about a day or two after the sub comes out. Until then, let's count the medals one last time this weekend until they release another 'Movie War' movie.
  18. Durendal, as always, you never cease to amaze me. Great info as usual. I hope someone, like myself, is saving this info to a word doc or onto notepad. Ryuki, I think Toku Legends would work fine.
  19. You would probably be right about that. I do plan on doing the main editing for this episode of Toku History and maybe even for the one the first Kamen Rider project. But who knows if someone else will want to do the video edits next time 'round. I may just end up doing 3 different variants, 1 for Super Sentai, 1 for Kamen Rider and the 3rd for any other toku series we end up doing. Over time. Whether to use the same OP song would be up to question but the same song only with 3 variant sequences depending on the type of toku that we're are focusing on might just actually be best. I would only change the montage if asked to do so for later episodes. As for the length of the OP sequence, it might be either 20 or 30 seconds in length as we do have to take into account of the size of the teams for the Sentai senshi and/or the amount of Riders in a series. As for my song choices, there are many great sections to a song and I was more inclined of either just editing certain parts of the song with other good parts of the song or just choosing a certain length. The end of the sequence would always show the group logo though at the end. But if I had to choose a certain length then I'd go: Noah (1:06 - 1:36....maybe do some slight editing to shorten it if I had to) Ryusei Lover ( 1:11 - 1:29...again, slight editing if need be)
  20. Hmm...well, you idea on the visuals is actually very interesting. If anything, it's something that can be altered with each new review episode, using scenes based on the series that we're reviewing at that time. So I could use scene from GekiRanger for the OP visuals. All-n-all, not a bad idea on how you would have it portrayed, Ryuki. Now as for choosing the OP theme, I say let's try your suggestion and the 4 of us pick two tracks. If we can find links on youtube then that might be even better to help us in listening to them even more so that we can get a better mental image of the song combined with GekiRanger scenes (and other Tokusatsu scenes as well). As for me, here are my two. Both are also JAM Project: Noah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsjHqZttig8 Ryusei Lovers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gGTTWGjRaM
  21. That might be good, D. But maybe we can incorporate the word Toku or Tokusatsu somewhere into that title so that people will know what kind of history review we'll be talking about. Historical Toku Legends! Also, I need some idea on the kind of OP sequence we could use. So I need song ideas, series footage...that kind of stuff. It'd be a TV short size song so maybe a song that's a toku series OP theme or something else along those lines. We just got to make sure that it's catchy.
  22. @Durendal - Yeah, that might be a good idea. We can spend about 2-3 minutes of the project video discussing the basic history of the franchise and then go off into one of the series, which for project #1 will be GekiRanger. And nice tidbit with the Gattai, GoRanger and Denjiman info. @Ryuki, yeah, let's keep the info shared between us 4. this way no spoilers can get leaked out. As for GoRanger, it was basically just Sentai while Super was designated for those with Giant Robo's. It wasn't until around the time of somewhere between ZyuRanger and Boukenger that Sentai series 1 & 2 were also included into the Super family. We will not be going over the movies or VS movies for now. We could possibly make the movies a separate project but not for now. We got enough to do on our plate as it is. If we get enough replies from the fans for a next release to include such movies then it could be done. @Odin - Make sure that you just take notes for the basic info (mainly monster types, plot, special effects, story basis, character names and alliances, etc...). We must also make sure that this is a un-biased review. So even if we love it, we must go over all the pros and cons of the series. That's another thing to keep an eye out for. I'll also start re-watching the series as well sometime this weekend. Once we've re-watched the series, we can then go over the info in 4-way PM and discuss everything while letting it all sit in our heads, allowing us to digest the information. Then we can discuss how we can set it up and then you can start the rough draft of the script from there. I would also need to create some kind of OP sequence and we would need some kind of logo.
  23. If it's anything like the rest of CN's series (Young Justice, Teen Titans, Ben 10) then Season 1 will between 13-21 episodes long. As for any OP. They haven't done one yet though I was hoping they'd either reuse the old series OP or do a more mythical remix of it for this new series. That would have been nice either way.
  24. Out of the two you suggested Ryuki, I'd have to go with GekiRanger...never did fully watch Shinkenger. Odin, if we do a script on a Kamen Rider series, pick one of the ones I have listed above. I can't do Skullman or the 1970's Spider-Man as I don't have those series. I might do one of the other Toku series I mentioned as a side project over time. So, so far we've got these projects: History of Super Sentai: GekiRanger (series being focused on) Script: Odin Video Provider and Editing: Ryuu-Oh Narrator: Ryuki Researcher and Translator: Durendal History of Kamen Rider: ??? Script: Video Provider and Editing: Narrator: Researcher and Translator: History Side Project: ??? (sometime down the road) So Odin, we should start going over a script for GekiRanger. Have you seen this series yet? Once you got a rough script send a copy to the three of us (Ryuki, Durendal and myself) so we can go over it and then we can tel you of any subtle edits to make. We also need to take plenty of notes on the series for the cultural aspect so that those can be pointed out during the video. Once we agree about what the final script looks like we can go from there. Also, once the script is finished it will be easier to edit the video to fit the script. Also make suggestions of maybe a certain scene you'd think might best provide a mental imagery for a certain point being expressed through the script. Example is talking about the Super Geki Claw and how they Rangers go super using Kageki, I can use the scene where they battle Rio and the two guardians, Kuwa and Kabu (the two beetle-like guardians). Maybe providing terms of what each individual term name means (Geki, Shigeki, Kageki, etc...) might be beneficial to those who don't understand the meaning.
  25. Oh, I just thought of something. For a good 1st run as a test project, we could do another toku series to warm ourselves up on. Series like: Rescue Hero Rescue Fire Armor Hero GARO (I know you guys would love to do this series)
