Seeing as I'm absoluelty horrid at first person shooters, the only thing I see from the game is what my friends play. But based on that, I have to say I am very impressed, with both gameplay and storyline. I want to get better at it, though, so I can join my friends when playing team player and slayer modes. Best thing about Halo 2, though, IMO? You get to be a Covanent, yo! Woo for having the ability to run around as an alien in Purple and Steel armor!

Getting Final Fantasy XI comes with the first expansion, the Raise of Zilart, but the second expansion, Chains of Promathia, you have to buy seperate. Chains of Promathia does give new areas to explore, and it more focused on storyline. There's more than enough to do without Chains of Promathia, if you can't get it right away. Since I got it, I've only been to one of the new areas, so if you're interested in getting the game, its not essential until you want to get into the story. But, truth be told, very little people play the game for the story, myself included. There's just too much other stuff to do...

It starts at $12.95 a month, I believe, with one free character. Each addictional character after that is an etra $1.

I highly recommend it! Then again, this is coming from someone who only plays Final Fantasy, but oh well... Final Fantasy XI gives you a lot of freedom to do whatever you want, and there's an endless amount to do, not just fighting and leveling up. There are quests to be done to build your fame in the cities of Vana'diel, a thosand places to explore, missions to complete to progress the storyline, guild skill to build up, money to make, and who can forget, running in terror when you're aggroed by a monster stronger than you -_-* That will happen a lot. There are some things that people don't like about Final Fantasy XI, but this is mostly based upon their experiance with other on-line games. One is the fighting system; there's usually something about it that turns them off to the game. It's auto-attack, giving you the freedom to use items, cast spells, use weapon skills, etc. The second thing is the whole focus of the game is based off of parties and teamwork; you can only solo easily until level 15 before you are, more or less, forced to join a party. I didn't like this at first, but it's fun if you really get into it. One of the best things about Final Fantasy XI is the ability to change jobs at will. The only thing that you finalize when you first begin is your race, hair/face, body size, and name. Other than that, you can change jobs at will, which makes the game a lot of fun as you explore different skills and abilities. *sighs* Did I leave anything out...? If you are getting the game, drop me a PM or something, I'll get you on our server! Cait Sith forever, yo!

I wouldn't call Chronos evil. I call them ambitious >D

No, that's not a typo. A Manhwa is Korean manga (thanks for GuyverFanatic for the info). Since the wait between Guyver mangas is so long, I desperately needed some other reading material to tide me over until #23 is released. It took me *months* to find something that really caught and held my attention, but found nothing. The two of the three series I finally did find didn't turn out to be from Japan, but from Korea, which I thought was kinda cool/interesting, seeing that all we knew until the explosion in manga popularity was the manga published in Japan. Granted, I don't know the tastes of manga of each and every person here on the board, but here are my recommendations if anyone wants to check them out. Les Bijoux: A fantasy/romance about a young boy named Lapis, born a "spar" (peasant) to an outcasted family, is the prophecised savior who will end the tyrannical end of the Habits (the ruling class) and liberate his people. In order to accomplish this task, however, Lapis must be able to look at his quest from two different points of view, and to do this, he is two people sharing one body; a young man, which is his most dominant form, and then occassionally changing to a beautiful young woman named "Lazuli". Both Lapis and Lazuli - two people of two minds and two consciousness sharing one body and one set of memories (got that? X_X ) must accomplish their own destinies; Lapis to save the spars from their ruling kings, and Lazuli to save the man in charge of the tyrannical rule. The artwork of Les Bijoux is absolutely stunning. This is what drew my attention first, and then the storyline and complex, colorful characters made it for a very well-rounded series. Although this is predominatley a romance series, I really think there's something in it for everyone. Unfortunately, it's only five volumes, so it's a very short read. Model Jae is a young Korean woman studying in Europe with dreams of becoming a famous painter. But, as it often goes, she falls into the catagory of "struggling artist" and is at a lack of inspiration. That is until one night, her friend drops off an unconscious drunk man at Jae's apartment, promising that he won't be a problem. Jae, like most sensible people, is uneasy with this idea...especially when the man walks into her room and drinks her blood. As guessed, Michael - the "drunk" - is a Vampire, and a very vain one at that. Being an artist in his past life, he accuses Jae of having no passion in her art. Determined to prove him wrong, she strikes a deal with him; she paints his portrait if he gets to drink her blood...but only a little at a time. Jae finds herself at Michael's mansion along with the enigmatic young man named Ken and quiet, secretive maid named Eva. During her stay at the manor, Jae is determined to learn more about her host, while at the same time being caught in the middle of a vicious love triangle between her, Michael, and Ken. I think Model might be more targeted for a female audience, but what really pulled me towards it was not only its unique art style, but the incredible mood it establishes. Unlike Les Bijoux, this one's still being published, so I have to wait for this about as long as I have to wait for the next Guyver Anyway, these are truly some of the best manga - or in this case, manhwa - and I felt like I needed to share it with people. I feel you guys can be trusted with checking them out and appreciating them for what they are (both these titles are available at Tokyopop.com) and not turn it into some product of rapic fangirldom...but we'll leave it at that.

Takaya needs to wrap up these storylines. I never thought a battle could get boring after a while. I demand storyline, dammit! Sheesh, it's like the series is turning into Dragon Ball...

There's already another thread open on this topic. It also belongs under the fanfic section, seeing that it is speculation and personal theory. Please, make sure a topic isn't being discusses elsewhere when starting a new thread.

This is my kind of topic >D There are so many different factors to take into account. As far as a being a hardcore badass goes, Aptom, Zx-tol and the Libertus have that made. For looks, it's a toss-up between Dail, Tabross, and Enzyme III. Zerabubus and the original Enzyme are high rankers too (althougn Enzyme is an ugly SOB). But if I had to choose a favorite, it would be Thancrus, as little as he was in the manga and anime. If I was processed, it would be something fast and speedy, like him. I'll take speed over power any day.

Moving to General ('cause it won't go anywhere else). The Guyver discussion is only really for hard core storyline, not for "what if's". We don't want to clutter up the Hard-core evidence with confused posts. No harm, no foul. Just be careful of where you post in the future ^_~

Those are truley kickin', Turock. You have a great style. I love your rendition of Archanphel, making it look like he has wings and all. I'm very impressed! Keep up the good work! PS: Start a Deviant Art account! I'll be the first to watch you

LOL!!!! That's seriously one of the best things I've ever heard! I would SO pay money to see that!

Happy Halloween, yall! My characters from LF get into the holiday spirit. From top to bottom you got Fumio as a vampire, Vincent as Jack Skellington, David as a dead S.T.A.R.S member, and Sarah as Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Hope you all have a great Halloween! Go nuts! PS: Sorry for the craptacular scan. My scanner doesn't like anything in a shade of gray, it seems >P

I'm hoping I don't have to work, but seeing as I just started my new job, I'm not really in the place to start asking for random days off. I'll probably be in charge of candy duty again this year, wearing my slinky sorceress costume. Not that I mind, per sae. Some of the little trick-or-treaters are too cute. But when we get bored with that, or the older, obnoxios trick-or-treaters come around, we'll probably end up scaring them with the fog machine again. Or my boyfriend will leap off the roof in his ninja costume to scare them all away >D

OMG, Griselda figure!!!!!! Looks like I might have to finally break down and get a model from the Guyver universe. She can command my FF figures >D

Wicked character design. Can't say I've seen anything like it. Great work.

My family and I went to Disneyland over the weekend, and these two rides definately go on my top 5 favorite. I'm not sure which version of the Haunted Mansion I like more. I love the classical just because it's...well...classical, but the NBC version was so incredibly awesome. I'm so glad I got to go on it; next year it probably going to be it's last. The Tower of Terror was probably one of the best rides I went on. Seriously, I wasn't going to go on its at first, 'cause I hate free-fall rides, but this was really something special. It's not up and down, but up, down, up more, down, then WAY up, fast down, and then it does that a few more times. I wish I could have gone on it again. It's one of those rides where you're screaming and laughing at the same time. Unfortunately, the Nightmare Before Christmas is only a once-a-year deal, and next year (2005) is its last. But if you ever find yourself in the Dinseyland region, definately go on Tower of Terror!!! And pictures... The gateway of the Haunted Mansion during the day, with Jack greeting you at the Entrance. Haunted Mansion at night. The Jack scarecrow, dressed up for the holidays. Exterior of the Hollywood Tower Hotel, aka Tower of Terror. ToT lobby

I love this series, and not just because I'm an avid Final Fantasy fan. It has all the classical elements of the games with a very new and different twist. Kaze and Makenshi are awesome characters, and I love the idea of the soil and the summoning gun. That, and Omega kicks some uber booty too ^.^

Probably not. 'cause that means I would feel obligated to do stuff... or something. I hate responcibility other than my own.

Sorry Seven-chan, but I've made myself a cozy home on the Caitsith server as a resident 30 WHM. I don't have time to start a new character, gomen~

Wicked concept and pose. I love the no-eyes thing.

No one's mentioned the Aliens movies yet? If I had to choose one favorite, that would be it. *hugs Xenos* Predator was awesome too. So Alien vs. Predator? Oh yeah, one ups to that. Hmm...what else...not much of a sci-fi buff... Final Fantasy VII and VIII (yes, these can be counted as Sci-Fi) Ender's Game Jurassic Park The Fifth Element Star Wars Trilogy Men in Black Galaxy Quest Evolution Treasure Planet Akira Neon Genisis Evagleion Full Metal Panic Gundam Wing Invader Zim -
There are many movies coming out this Christmas season that I want to see. This trailer was premeired at Resident Evil: Apocolypse when my friends and I saw it last night, and it shot to my top 5 must-see movies of the winter season. You need Quicktime to play this trailer, but it looks incredible. Frighteningly incredible. http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/white_noise/
