Hi everyone. Not much to say for today. I'm trying to complete a form to have my paychecks from work direct deposited and that's about it, really. Today was really, really uneventful. Tonight, I plan on watching some TV and making some chicken taco salad, but that's about it, really. Oh, and there's this article about a Le Mans LMP1 car vs a F1 car: http://www1.skysports.com/f1/news/17583/9435048/andre-lotterer-surprised-lmp1-audi-can-corner-quicker-than-caterham-f1-car I'll be back later

Hi everyone. I paid my library fine and I now have a time set for my outing. It'll likely happen next week on the 27th. Probably going back to the bird sanctuary and the library, and hopefully I'll be able to get something to eat this time around. Other than that, I'm looking forward to using today to do some dishes later on, as well as some gaming and fan fic. I'll be back later

Hi everyone. My eye appointment was a success, and I'll have new glasses that look better and I can see out of better apparently within about a week or so. Other than that, it's been a bit of a ho-hum day. Nothing really exciting happened. Other than the Andre Lotterer deal, though speaking of him, he and some of his Audi Sport team mates did instruct automotive journalist on how to drive a 2014 spec Audi R18 e-tron quattro in Italy either today or yesterday. As for his F1 ride, it's only a one race deal where he has nothing to lose or gain from it aside from crossing driving a F1 car around Spa off his bucket list. Anyways, I'll probably be resting up tonight for a bit before I make some dinner (pasta salad of some type), wash some dishes, and a few other things. I'll be back later

Hi everyone. I didn't do too much last night and today, I have work and afterwards, an eye doctor appointment, and hopefully I'll be getting a new pair of glasses. Other than that, I don't have too much to say aside from confirmation of Andre Lotterer having a one race deal for Catherham in F1 for the Spa GP this weekend. I'll be back later

Hi everyone. I slept in most of yesterday because I was kept up trying to get some info from Social Security yesterday. I waited an hour, and had to call back, and only then was my issue fixed, though to be honest, the person who helped me was able to get the issue I had resolved in two minutes once she was able to work on it Other than that, I got a hair cut this weekend, modded a NASCAR section of a motorsports forum, and I did work a bit on some fan fic stuff. Speaking of motorsports stuff, there's an IMO very unlikely to happen rumor going around that Le Mans winner and Audi Sport driver Andre Lotterer will run a car for Catherham this weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix F1 race in Spa. That's unlikely, since Andre himself has admitted that he's testing for Audi this week in Italy and will be running a Super Formula race in Japan this weekend. So that rumor seems far out there. Today, I go back to work, which is open again after the inservice day yesterday, and I'll be trying a new taxi service. Since I haven't eaten since early yesterday, I'll try and grab myself something to eat when I finish up with a few things and then I'll help grandma this morning and get ready for work. I'll be back later

Welcome to the forum I hope that you enjoy your stay.

Hi everyone. I'm currently waiting for my parents to visit and drop off some grocery stuff. I also have some Liana stuff I wanna show my mom. I also begin my second weekend of moderating a NASCAR section of a motorsports forum. I hope that this week won't be a much of a rush or trial by fire as last weekend was. Other than that, I'd like to do some gaming, fan fic writing, and some other stuff over the next couple of days. And also, my kitten Jade has been wanting to climb on and be held and petted a lot more over the past week with not only me, but basically anyone who lives here. I'll be back later

Hi everyone. Stayed up though the morning to cash my paycheck and run some errands. Then I slept in after I was done with lunch and now I'm awake. It's cloudy, cool and comfortable here, but judging by that, it'll probably start raining tonight--for sure it's supposed to rain tomorrow and off and on all week next week. Later tonight and through Monday night I hope to do some gaming and work on some fan fic. But other than that, I don't have too much planned for tonight really. I'll be back later

Hi everyone. This is my first post here, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or opinions of the women in Guyver. I'll be basing this partly off canon, partly off my fan fic work, and off my own thoughts and observations which form the basis of how I'll portray such characters in my fan fic and how I see them in the canon of the manga. Now for the actual topic. I'll be touching upon several things and how they apply to the major female characters in Guyver, especially the protagonist. I believe that about everyone on here who've seen certain of my discussions will know that I'm a big fan of both Shizu and Natsuki. And I also love discussing female characters, and I have my own views on what's feminine and otherwise. The biggest thing that I like about the female protagonist in Guyver is that they're more than window dressing or sex toys. I know that Japanese manga and anime and other stuff like that, where such things are criticized for treating women badly and portraying them as sex objects. Though most of the women in Guyver are very attractive, the don't just run around naked, at least not without reason. It's not like Mizuki wanted to have Aptom cut her clothes off when he was threatening to kill her. And Shizu in the processing tank? Well, kinda inconvenient to wear clothing in there, and in her battle form, she sheds her clothes anyways--kinda hard to have clothes that fit a 5'5"-5'6" tall girl that weights 110-115 pounds fit something that becomes 7 feet tall and weighs over 260 lbs. And, we haven't seen Natsuki naked, at least yet, in any context. So even though Yoshiki Takaya was a hentai/erotic manga artist before he created Guyver, that argument doesn't hold water--there's a reason why chicks are naked, well, except for a degree for Valkyria, but she had her origins in the Out of Control OVA, and we all know what happened there... Also, especially with Shizu and Natsuki, there's a bit of a tomboy/girly girl complex going on. Me, personally, I think that Natsuki is pretty feminine. Just because of her hairstyle, love of sci-fi stuff and occasionally how she dresses, doesn't mean that she's not a femme. And with Shizu, she's overtly feminine, but she also has an aggressiveness when she's pissed that's not conventionally feminine (Natsuki and even Mizuki also have a temper), and she knows more than how to clean house (conventional sense) and other "womanly" duties. These are points to start discussions and some examples of my views on the subject. I know that a lot of these things are subjective because everyone has a different view on these things. I'd be happy to discuss more if this takes off. So, discuss away on your views of women in Guyver

Hi everyone. I'm off work until Tuesday, and from then on, I'll be using a new taxi company to get me too and from work. I don't have too many plans for tonight aside from catching a couple of shows and make a pizza later tonight. Over the weekend, I'd like to do some gaming, reading, and fan fic writing. I'll be back later

Well, I'm biased because I've never been a big fan of GM, though we own a GM vehicle (1995 Pontiac Grand Am). The recall issue is something to look into, but it seems to be mostly a deal over cars built in North America. I haven't heard much about overseas GM divisions in Asia or Europe, but I'd look into it. As for the Orlando vs the Spin, it depends on what you want from each and which bears more weight: cost vs what you're looking for in the vehicle.

I was thinking of discussing spices here, after being influenced by my use of salad dressings in pasta salad and finishing off a bag of salt and pepper potato chips. I'm pretty interested in things like salt, pepper, peppercorns, garlic, basil, and things of that nature and the flavors that they add. What kind of flavors are you looking to add/change Yuki? I'm not the greatest cook in the world, and I'm not familiar with curries, but if you want a stronger meat flavor, you could try beef with a lot of marbling in it, or adding beef broth. Or, as you suggested, tomato flavor, add some diced tomatoes. You can always play with ingredients and their portions until you get headed in the direction you want. Though I've never made anything directly like a curry, but I do favor, bold, pronounced flavors, especially warmly spicy or slightly sweet. You could also add a rub or marinade to your beef before you cut it up or cook it, or marinade or use a herbs and spices mix on your vegetables. I don't marinade what I cook often, but I've always liked the results when I have done it.

Hi everyone. Had a productive night last night and I'm actually up early this morning as far as day where I'm not working. I don't have a ton planned for today, though I'd like to do some PC or maybe even console gaming if I get a chance and def. work on some fan fic tonight. Also, this photo shows how Liana feel after getting good reviews at their show Sunday, and I hope that you'll have as a good a day as they did: https://scontent-a-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t31.0-8/10604499_334896196692001_4755946329113996190_o.jpg I'll be back later

Strangely, at Walmart their bakery bread is often cheaper than the stuff on the shelves, though it doesn't have the preservatives in it that normal shelf bread does, so it goes stale/gets moldy a lot faster. Also, it's sorta amazing at times what you can find at places like that as far as international food. Since breakfast seems to be a big topic, I wonder if anyone would appreciate the versatility of not only eggs, but sausage? Bulk sausage (which comes wrapped in plastic tubes usually here in the US) comes in a staggering amount of flavors, and you can also control the portion size. It can be a stand-alone alongside anything else on a breakfast plate, you can make sandwiches out of them, crumble it up and use it in omelets, and it can be a good alternative to hamburgers if you're a bit burned out on them.

Hi everyone. I shared some of my Liana stuff at work and I got some people interested as far as doing something at the least if they're bored. A couple of them were pretty enthusiastic about it. Work went pretty well today too, and I also liked the new schedule that Renee gave me. Other than that, I'll probably be taking a nap soon. I don't work tomorrow, and the weather today has been absolutely outstanding and tomorrow will be even better. I'll be back later

Hi everyone. Has anyone checked out my Liana links yet, and if so, what was your impression? Went to Walmart today--and had to stop to buy pliers on the way there to turn the defroster in our car on, since it was storming when we went there. Picked up some nice stuff and I'm stocked with stuff for a while. Other than that, I slept in today and now I'm up working on some stuff. I'll probably be making some sandwiches to eat before I try and take a nap before work this morning. Other than that, I haven't been up to much. I'll be back later

I've been going nuts about making sandwiches and pasta salad recently. Everything is readily found at about any grocery store, and, aside from the chicken for my sandwiches, pretty inexpensive. Of course, for the sandwiches, since I like spicy cheese, that's up for one's own discretion. But usually, it's simple bread (though I've also used bakery French or Italian bred, or garlic bread), chicken, bacon, pepperoni, Provolone and pepper jack cheese--the latter is up to you to use or substitute, this isn't a strict recipe, it's a sandwich, after all. I also tend to add various salad dressings lightly as a condiment--they're what I also use in the pasta salads I make. As for the pasta salad, I just use store bought pasta salad--usually Italian and bacon ranch--and make it according to package directions. But then I cook chicken breasts, cut them up into small pieces and fry them until they develop a crispy outer skin, and add them to the salad. I also use various dressings to add more flavor, usually Italian, Greek, sweet poppyseed, ranch, and peppercorn ranch. These can also add flavor to sandwiches when used as a light condiment. The great thing is that you can personalize these things to your exact tastes and have fun with them. I also play with various flavored drink mixes in a similar fashion.

We do have to wonder how much the characters have aged. I wouldn't take my line of thinking as the gospel, but considering the main time skip was a year and that weeks and months pass between events, it's possible to say that Sho, who was 17 when the manga began, could be 20 or so by now? Granted, this is a work of fiction and is a manga, but most of the characters who popped up early in the story and have been with us for a while (long time in our time) don't seem to have aged much. Is that accurate, or am I missing something?

Hi everyone. Pretty depressing to hear of the passing of Robin Williams today. One of my all time favorite comedians. I'll always remember the 2.5 hour long HBO special he did about 12 years ago. That was a riot But sad that he passed, though he'll leave behind a lot of positive memories. As far as more positive things. I had a pretty good day at work today and for once in about a week I feel normal physically. I also have something to share with everyone. I think that you might be familiar with the band Liana from my postings about them recently. Well, they have a new website up: http://www.theyareliana.com/ It already has a huge gallery which you can access (as well as the rest of the site) by clicking on the Liana symbol on the main page. There's also this gallery: http://mcsharq.nl/album/view?albumid=991 I hope that you'll like what you find I'll be back later

What's for dinner? Literally, sort of...food discussion.

Chicken sandwiches with Greek and Sweet Poppyseed dressing: excellent. -
Hi everyone. I'm pretty exhausted right now. Got up at 4:30, moderated at a racing forum, followed proceedings in a NASCAR and sports car race, got some grocheries, including some phenominal Greek and poppy seed dressing (I wanted peppercorn and grabbed the poppy seed stuff my mistake), and helped my mom wash some cats. After the NASCAR race is over, I'll probably be headed to bed for a while. I'll be back later

That's the biggest issue with Guyver as far as establishing a timeline. The manga has been so long running that any of the events could conceivably take place between 1985 to present. Of course, I don't know how seriously this is to be taken, but looking at vehicles in the manga do reveal possible continuity issues, because a lot of the cars in the story are real-life based. Shizu's and Yohei's Toyota SUV is from the late 1980's it seems, but we flash forward to when Val makes her appearance, the cars she's seen with are a mid-late 2000's Lamborghini and a Porsche 911 Turbo of similar vintage. That, of course, could be explained away with the advances that Chronos has brought since their take-over. If they can make Zoanoids, imagine what they could do with the automobile. I wouldn't expect to make a lot of detailed timeline stuff until the manga ends, because the manga has been so ongoing, yet only covers like about two or three years of time within canon. But within canon, I wouldn't expect it to make a whole lot of difference, either, because at least Takaya usually has an understandable explanation for what goes on in Guyver.

Hi everyone. I'm feeling a bit better today, but I still feel out of it and sorta lack energy. At least the sleep aid helped when I tried to go to sleep this morning. As for tonight, I'll figure out what I'll be doing when I get to that point. I have no set plans for tonight really. I'll be back later

Hi everyone. I haven't felt well all week and I've been pretty off and on ill and tired. Hopefully things will improve this weekend. I haven't been sleeping well either and I also hope that changes this weekend. Other than that, I'd like to do some gaming and fan fic work this weekend. Maybe that'll help with how I've been feeling. I'll be back later

I've been having trouble sleeping, but not from that. But I still think that I'll stay away from that manga/anime for now...
