I'm more inclined to believe that they are the descendants of the original worshipers for Archenfel. Plus we don't know how long this Native Zoanoid has been following them, perhaps he saw them come out of the temple and considered them to be other "deities" that are friends with their savior. Or perhaps he is just curious because on an island full of monsters and animals that are extinct it would seem unusual to see two humans all of a sudden.

Very good review. I look forward to the OVA review. Do you plan on covering everything Guyver film related? Also as powerful as the Megasmasher is why didn't it go the through the ship and out the other side of the cavern? That just always bothered me a bit.

Good and fair review. I enjoyed it. However one thing I need to say is that the spoiler at the very beginning with them explaining aliens created mankind and so on and the weird and crappy screen transition seemed to only happen in the Director's Cut. So the original release on VHS didn't have that crap and made it more bearable. The only other things about the movie that sucked for me was the fact that the Guyver had his antenna down during a lot of it and the fact that Chronos wouldn't convert their scientists into Zoanoids in fear of losing a valuable mind if the optimization failed.
I look forward to the Guyver 2 review.

Looks really awesome! The color palette I think encompasses all the colors that is accepted by the majority of the fanbase. If you don't mind my asking what other characters do you intend to include? I know you mentioned about having Guyver's 1, 2, 3 and Aptom's Bio-Freezer form, but are you also planning on including other Zoanoids or perhaps Zoalords?

Honestly I don't really feel too comfortable with leaving any beloved series (Guyver or otherwise) to Hollywood alone. I think regardless that the original copyright owners should have a very strong influential hand in the production of their creation.
Look at Godzilla for example; the 1998 release done by Emmerich didn't do it any justice and since then Toho has been very reluctant to let anyone outside of their studio make a movie about Godzilla again. However now Edwards is directing a new Godzilla movie that will be released in 2014 and Toho is keeping all over it so I am hopeful that this new iteration of Godzilla will be a successful one.
So regardless what director gets Guyver, Yoshiki Takaya needs full rein over it as well. I don't believe he'll ruin this beloved series like Dragon Ball Evolution did even with Akira Toriyama having full control.

Odin this is very cool. The only adaptation similar to this is with MUGEN that had their own Guyver that you can use, but it's a little bit on the sloppy side.
As for help with the project I have worked with Game Maker 7 Lite edition for my Community College and even received honors for the class and I am currently a Game Tester for Sony Online Entertainment. I cannot provide a steady flow of contribution and 100% dedication to this project like what you need. However when I know I have free or extra time to provide assistance and you need an extra hand or something looked at I am more than willing to help out.

Oh yes I'm not debating who absorbed the most energy from the Sun, just the fact that they both utilized that ability. That's all I mean.

I have to admit I was rooting for Goku because I'm more of a Dragon Ball fan. However the outcome is something I can live with, but to me it's like they both lost because they destroyed the Earth. At least they still have the Namekian Dragon Balls to wish it back I guess.
Also for those that thought Superman had outside help from the Sun, remember Goku did the same thing with the Spirit Bomb so that controversy should be voided.
"Kaio-What?" best line ever.

Looks really good, but don't make it too shiny otherwise you might get more of a "robotic" look

Or perhaps look at some of the Chronos logo concepts and get some ideas from that?

Also, this is gonna sound a bit out there, but is it just me or does that Minotaur zoanoid look awfully like Aptom? I mean, I know he's just been revealed to be with Sho confronting Shin, but it wouldn't be inconceivable that some of his cells managed to travel with Apolloyn and have regenerated a copy by assimilating some of the creatures on Silha?
If that was the case wouldn't Aptom have mentioned something about it by know? I mean Aptom and all of his parts have some telepathic link with one another like a legion or something, right?

and there we have it. Thank you lost unit

Or.....
If I can hook up my laptop to my roommate's printer/scanner, I can scan my copies of the Master Files. I just need to find the USB hookup, but I'll try to find it tomorrow morning cause I going to bed soon.
That works too, I think we just need a digital copy of the Master Files for everyone to see and enjoy. LordSpleach if you don't mind the work and can get everything working, by all means have at it.

Hey everyone,
Most of you probably already know that when the 26 part Guyver anime was released by ADV they also released three handbooks with the collection. Well it seems there isn't a digital copy of this and I think it is only fair to be able to have it available to all Guyver fans. However, the problem is that I don't have the resources to scan the booklets and was wondering if someone would be willing to have me ship it to them, scan, and then send it back to me.
The booklets don't just include some insight on the anime and the series itself, but it also has Q&A interviews, concept art from both the staff of the series and Yoshiki Takaya, and one even includes summaries of the Murakami files.
If someone is interested and is willing to do the work and spend some money (shipping), please let me know.

Hesei: Ghidora the Three Headed Monster. I just really liked how Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra worked together to defeat Ghidora. Plus I like the original idea for Ghidora being a space monster that destroys planets than any of his other iterations.
Showa: Godzilla vs Biollante. Come on the puppetry and look of Biollante's final form was just awesome.
You got your eras mixed up. Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is in the Showa series of Godzilla films while Godzilla vs Biollante is in the Heisei series.
Millenium: Godzilla, Ghidora, and Mothra Attack of the Three Gaurdian Beasts. I liked how they returned Godzilla to his roots as being a really pissed off motherf***er that wants to destroy Tokyo (world). However I was shocked to see King Ghidorah as a good guy, thats the one thing I really didn't agree with.GMK is the only movie where he actually wants attacks Japan though. All of the other movies either have him under alien control (DAM, Godzilla vs Monster Zero), attracted to an energy source (Return of Godzilla and Godzilla X Megaguirus), or just wondering around Japan like a wild animal and destroys stuff by accident/in his way (There's way too many examples).
As for Ghidorah being a good guy in GMK, it does bug me but at least he is still Godzilla's nemesis.
Yeah you're right I got the eras mixed, my apologies. Just got into typing it up didn't really think about it. As for the roots thing I was referencing as to why I liked that movie not the whole Millenium series.

Wow just found this page, awesome. I have been following Godzilla when I was like 3 and have been a fan since. Hell the first video game I've ever beaten was a Godzilla game (Godzilla: Monster of Monsters).
Well my favorites:

As for the upcoming Godzilla movie I don't think we really need to worry about another abortion like the 1998 version because it has been announced that Toho is giving a very short leash and is working really close with the project.

I guess I'll end my post here by asking the question, do we think they were connected to the relic before entering the control room? could they have called the relic ship to them at any time?
perhaps they had full access to it, but just weren't aware of it.
Perhaps since their units came from the ship originally that the ship "recognized" the units. However if we were to take that idea do you mean that the Guyver's would only have access to the ships they belonged too? If so than how was Agito able to communicate with the Navigational Spheres from the Arizona branch?
Also I just read in my handbook that there are a third remains of Uranus' ship located in China's Uyghur Autonomous Region, but it literally says the details are vague. So for all we know there could be another set of Navigational Spheres out there somewhere.
-
the handbook you mentioned, is that the one from the tv series?
The VDF states pretty much the same thing, but does not mention a beam.
Yeah it's from the tv series. I'm not posting to correct anyone, but hopefully just provide a little bit more insight.
I know I am only referencing from the anime, but to me the Remover looks like it is firing some sort of beam or ray of light instead of something that is on a sonic or frequency level. The only references that I can think of that the control metal had communicated with something else is in the Guyver 2 Movie that after the Guyver Zoanoid was defeated the two CMs were "conversing" with one another, Sho getting connected to the ship, and in episode 6 of the 12 part ova when Guyver 3 woke Guyver 1 up with their control metals "conversing". Perhaps if we can figure out if their communication was through sound waves, frequencies, beams, or hell even bio-light then maybe we can conclude what the Remover utilizes.
Just a suggestion.

Wow, wish I could draw that well. Awesome drawing Cannibal.

Welcome back Blackstar, nice to meet you. Awesome Predator Guyver tattoo, love to see that in a movie.

Leaning a bit off topic here, but would it be possible for Guyot to survive his encounter with Alchanfel using the energy from the Remover? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember the remover needing charging using bio-energy. Perhaps Guyot can siphon back the energy that he put into the remover to get out of harms way even for just an instant?
I've never thought about that Durendal. That is a very plausible scenario with Guyot being sustained from the bio-energy still stored in the Remover.
However, I've been wondering do we really know what the Remover fires. I mean does it really send out some form of a sonic pulse or an actual ray? The only description I have any bases off of it is from the Handbook that states;
"Guyver Unit Remover: This is a device that will remove the bioboosted armor. The ray it fires will erase a user's data from the control metal, and fully separate user from Guyver unit."
That's the description anyways, so should we take this in the literal sense that what the remover shoots is a ray of some sorts or a light that carries bio-signals?
This also poses the question of what would happen to the Gigantic? Would it be lost in the boost dimension to never be seen again or will it appear in our dimension and await for another Guyver to become it's master?
What does anyone else think?

The movies are pretty good. Definitely competes with Godzilla's more recent work. Plus, I'm sure you know but there is another Godzilla movie in development.
-
Thank you Ryuki,
The hand book doesn't have all the answers we seek, but it does have some interesting facts about different characters, Guyvers, Zoaforms, interviews, further explanations of the Guyver, and concept art.

That is where my argument is stemming from. The megasmasher was powerful enough to practically leave the Chronos branch in shambles, but didn't scratch the ship. Also did anyone else notice that right at the end of the first movie when Shawn removed the armor and was of course supposedly naked that he had Nikes on? I am not sure if it can be seen on all releases, but on the directors cut you can just see them.
