  1. As of December 15th, 2025, Kadokawa has renewed the Trademark rights for Guyver. This is something that has to be done every 10 years in Japan... Which the last time they did it, the Manga was actually still being published. https://chizai-watch.com/t/2025139888?q=kadokawa&d=20251215&a=株式会社KADOKAWA It's a bit of interesting news that doesn't actually tell us anything about what is going on with the Manga... Only that Kadokawa is still invested in owning the franchise and controlling what various products can use it.

  2. We used to have scans of the Chuang Yi covers on the old wiki's merchandise page (still visible on the wayback machine) but the higher res versions didn't get saved, so I've scanned in my dust jackets for anyone that might like to get a better look at them. I also scanned in a few data files so people can get a flavour for what they looked like in the CY release: https://mega.nz/fm/PYYSiZxK enjoy!

  4. Personally I hope it's a sign that the manga might make a comeback...

  6. So they're gonna keep releasing teaser trailers every week now? It goes without saying that I'm really looking forward to watching this on the big screen. It will be interesting to see how they mesh the different universes, as this movie is clearly a very big fan service to begin with, as with every MCU movie should be. I do hope they realize and understand what Deadpool & Wolverine did with choke full of references, and how those tiny but voluminous details propelled the movie to the top of the box office.

  7. Its strange to me they would do this. It's not like Guyver is a big cash cow. Paranoid part of me is wondering if they keeping it tied up so others can't grab it...

  8. At this point, Takaya should come out and tell the fans if he's done, rather than leave the series on permanent hiatus. If he's keeping the door open for a return, he should also make it known. George R.R. Martin gives status updates now and again, even if no one expects him to realistically finish the books. Instead, Guyver fans have been left in limbo. Takaya is the wrong side of 60, and we saw with Kentaro Miura that anything can happen, but at least Miura was still working on Berserk when he passed away. I have to wonder if Kadokawa won't officially end the manga, as they still need the IP to hawk figurines and merchandise.
