Agreed. I am of the mindset that they can do whatever they will with the characters. Nothing wrong with diversity. But there is something to be said about how they are pandering with this. I am not racist at all, but Spidey will always be Parker in my eyes. The same as how Black Panther will always be T'Challa. Bring on variations! I could care less, but to a degree this is less about progressive storytelling and more about pandering and sales. Good business plan to be sure. All little kids regardless of gender or race or belief should have someone like them to look up to. But again, doesn't this just create more walls and separation? Glad my comic is only about super powered IBS and is silly. Yikes...
