No, I don't think I agree. Archanfel was in bio-stasis for a really long time. Perhaps even from shortly after him stopping the asteroid, right until Barkas found him circa 1600. I don't think he interrupted his sleep, otherwise he surely would have started Chronos much sooner.
And let's look at Archanfel's mindset versus any known godly archetypes. He fits none of them. With the possible exception of Asatru (Norse religion) which venerates battle and death on the battle field.
Hmmm. If Zoanoids had any religion besides blind obedience to the Zoalords it would be Asatru, I think.
But Archanfel's own psychology is so utterly non-'godly'. How would he even think up commandments? He has no needs, he is complete within himself. He doesn't even need to eat or drink, he needs no shelter (I mean, the temple is nice, but he could just lay down wherever to sleep so long as he could be reasonably sure he wouldn't be disturbed. But he could just bed down atop K2 for that, for instance), no clothing. Wealth means nothing to him and there is no reason to assume he would have sexual desires since reproduction and intimate relationships do not jibe with his job description. He commands armies and that's it. He does not get older, and while he appears beautiful, he probably has no concept of that, either.
So he has no desires we would understand at all. And likewise he would not understand ours. He does not need to vie for power or compete with anyone because that's implicitly impossible in the scheme of things.
No, Archanfel is no god... and he wouldn't play god, either. If anything you'd think he'd find the concept distasteful. He knows we were created, he knows why we were created and he also knows our creator rejected us. Depressing! Imagine knowing without a shadow of a doubt that there is somebody up there... and he hates you.

You know, you'd think he and the Guyvers would make natural allies. But he needs a Unit. Once he finds out Guyot's still alive, that should have some interesting consequences. I wonder if he still has the Remover. I doubt Guyot can still use it - it probably requires more bio-energy than he can muster now.

Were any of the other Zoalords religious? Or have they ever used religion to their own ends? Again I'd have to say "I don't think so". The necessity of remaining hidden would preclude that. Although? Maybe the Illuminati were a Chronos operation.
