They are doing this become Alky dictated it, but for many of them. I suspect they are doing it in a "The ends justify the means". If I were over 300 years old and lived long enough to see war over and over again, I'd be desensitized. Given that Shizu has this strong sense to serve Agito, what if Christian Grey comes into the picture and swoons her off her feet, dispensing her his infamous S&M habits.
