H222G981 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 How long does Gigantic last before it disengages and reverts the pilot back to default Guyver? Reason why I ask if Sho or Agito disperse too much energy, like using the Giga Smasher too many times can cause the Gigantic to disengage to recharge....or if the Gigantic takes too much damage and uses energy to repair itself during battle. During Agito's battle with Imakarum, he was conserving energy, and ended up disengaging the Gigantic to go finish Imakarum after he damaged his ZoaCrystal. Like Proto Zoalords, the gigantic has a time limit on how long the form lasts and how much energy they're able to use. Would it last 10-20 minutes based on the battle itself? Quote
*zeo Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Mind, since there's no detailed official data file to draw such information from that any discussion on this is unofficial but based on what is shown and what little the data files do state I believe we can conclude the following.. The Guyver technology draws its power from a apparently energy filled dimension called the Boost Dimension, which is also where the unit is stored when not in use. Initial activation of the unit creates a direct link to the Boost Dimension that allows a rapid infusion of energy into the host and thus empowers the Guyver... From that point forward the unit's gravity control orb acts as a trickle charger, continuously siphoning energy from the Boost Dimension at a rate sufficient to maintain the charge and grant the Guyver it's level of regeneration... It doesn't mean the Guyver can never tire but as long as it paces itself it can literally go on forever or until the host is no longer to mentally go on... We know from the official data file that the host internal organs are either replaced by superior versions (heart and lungs) or regressed/removed as unnecessary as the Guyver doesn't need to eat, etc. The Gigantic draws upon this base and mainly differs in that vastly increases how much of its mass is composed of energy, essentially turning the physical form into a kind of energy construct and is why losing too much energy can cause it to collapse and de-activate... But the Gigantic has it's own gravity control orbs, a additional one in each chest plate, that combined with the host unit makes three and all three are continuously siphoning energy from the Boost Dimension... So, unless the Gigantic is drained of too much energy faster than it can replace it then it should last indefinitely... Just like the host unit... Exceed form takes this to its logical conclusion by using the power amps to amplify the energy siphoning process to a massive scale but means access to the Exceed form likely means the Gigantic can siphon all the energy it could ever need and thus would only lose too much energy if the host is careless and allows energy levels to drop too low... Mind, a Zoalord relies on a charge within its Zoacrystal for most of their power and that needs a external method to recover that energy afterward... Unlike a Guyver they don't self recharge... and is one of the Guyver's key advantages. Also, it adds to the reason why a Guyver Zoalord would be so dangerous as it essentially would remove the Zoalord's charge limit... 1 Quote

It's kind of hard to gauge really, as the fights with the Gigantic have never really been that long for various reasons... And only one of them has been because of lack of power. The fight with Gigantic Dark and Imakarum could possibly have been hampered by the fact Sho had just finished using the Gigantic vs Imakarum and the Gigantic didn't have time to replenish it's own energy reserves... As well as having fired off the Giga-Smashers, using the shielding a lot and a bunch of the weapons. We know this can happen from when Guyver Gigantic was fighting Purg'stall and Agito pulled the Gigantic off of Sho in mid battle. When Agito got the unit, it had repaired itself, but he noted that there was not enough energy to fire the Giga-Smashers and instead settled for a massive pressure cannon. So, it has it's own energy reserves and can still feed... but Agito was overusing the powers probably a bit too much, coupled with the fact it was probably still partially drained from Sho's earlier fight. So, basically it could probably stay on a Guyver indefinitely, just so long as they were using it efficiently. Quote
