What religion was Sho?

Featured Replies

So, I'm wondering what religion Sho was before he came across the Guyver and learned the truth about the creators. \

I know it wasn't exactly focused on in the anime....not sure if it was said in the manga either.

I was thinking Buddhist maybe? Anyone have any ideas?

Most likely Shinto. Most Japanese people are.

Make's sense. Thanks.

The times we have seen shou mourning his loved ones, he has been in front of a buddhist family shrine.

I wouldn't say most Japanese people actively practice religion in the way a lot of catholics or similar religions are practiced, going to church etc.

It is more of an ingrained part of society. kind of like superstitions etc.  I think many Japanese visit the shrine to make a wish but might not do much beyond that.
