river_chaos Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) I think we need to make a thread of places where the Guyver manga can be purchased for fellow Guyver fans looking into purchasing the series or whatnot. I just spent $40+ on eBay getting just two volumes (as an artist that's a huge cut into my paycheck). If you guys know of any places that sell the manga or series products (legally) please post a comment so it can be added to the list. Online: Guyver Advocadcy- they get the manga for you, but take a bit of time. eBay Amazon Yesasia Physical places: Kinokuniya (San Fransisco, LA, Chicago)- last checked to have the Chinese volumes, not Japanese. H222G981 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) Its a good idea. But If we did make a list it wouldn't make sense to list Amazon or Ebay as those are the first two places people will look.A good place that I've found Guyver manga...and my brother gets alot of his manga from this site for really cheap is http://www.yesasia.com/us/en/home.html (Yesasia) and they have some really good deals on it. Yes, they sell the Japanese copies for pretty cheap. Here's the link to Guyver. You can get a volume for under 10 to 15 dollars. http://www.yesasia.com/us/search/guyver-the-bioboosted-armor/0-0-0-bpt.48_q.Guyver+The+Bioboosted+armor-en/list.html Edited May 14, 2015 by Jupiter 1 Quote
BlackEpyon Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 The best places to purchase Guyver mangas would probably be import or auction sites. Quote
madridiq8e Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 could you guys provide a website that sells guyver figures ? rare ones ? or at least guide me to someone who builds and paints the guyver vinyl kits ? i'm willing to pay for good quality painted vinyl kits Quote
Sully Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 There isn't any retail sites I'm aware of that have Guyver kits, more so the old rare ones. You're best off visiting ebay at least once a day to keep an eye on stuff there. Sooner or later everything appears there. As for getting the kits painted visit your local hobbie / model shop and get to know the owner of the place, they normally know someone good, or if not them check on-line for people who customise other things than Guyver. Whatever you do though be careful and only go for people who known good record of doing work for people. References from people who you can trust are worth their weight in gold. 1 Quote
