I was recently playing Mortal Kombat - Komplete Edition last night on story mode. I get to the end and I fight Emperor Shoa Khan. This guy is over powered and kill you in a few hits. He's almost impossible to beat on a normal game setting. I beat him on the first round, but that didn't stop him from flogging me the next two rounds. I kept thinking. Am I getting worse at this? Everything I did with Raiden just wasn't working! I kept doing every combination that I could. Nothing worked. I was literally about to go ape drenn on the controller but kept telling myself to quit and take a breather. The other half of me told me to beat him and than not pick up the game for a while...maybe for a few months and play something less frustrating for a while. So I told myself..."Okay, here goes". 3 hours passed and I was still getting flogged by Shao Khan. I was actually starting to believe Shao Khan's audio "ITS OFFICIAL, YOU SUCK!"  and I was getting more and more frustrated that the developers made him this hard. It was just a total wtf moment as I hadn't fought a guy this hard in a long long time in a video game. I was sick of hearing "Shao Kahn Wins!"

I remember playing Far Cry for the first time. It was medium difficulty, the last level. Somehow I totally stuck there, those mutants keep on killing me so I can't get to the elevator. After numerous attempts I succeeded, but that was the hardest day of my gaming life!

 

Strange, but when I played Far Cry for the second time on the hardest difficulty that level was piece of cake.

I whined, screamed and punched my couch while on my way through these games. They can be so hard and frustrating, especially when they don't communicate very well on how somethings in the game work.

 

Yet they are some of my favorite games of all time.

my biggest frustration recently was resident evil 6. I was stood on a platform hat ran around an areana. I decided to have a little look around... invisible wall.

 

 

this is what pisses me off.

 

I can kick a balloon around the room but when there is a gun just behind a dead body, I cannot reach it.
