This is a topic that I'd like to make talking about stuff with female protagonist in Guyver.  It could be our thoughts and opinions, observations, and things that we wanna guess on.

And this includes things that they do, "female" things that they do they could do if they were living "normal" lives, who they are as people, what they do in their free time, basically anything that's forum appropriate.  Also, this can include our favorite females and why we like them.

So discuss away :)  I'll probably post more later when I get done with some stuff online :)

I don't think Guyver is that sort of manga.

What do we know about our protagonists, even after all this time? Almost no details from their personal life at all. It's all drama.

Even Mizuki, who is as normal as it gets in Guyver, is rarely if ever shown doing anything that is superfluous to the story.

Have we ever seen anyone read a book, watch television or play a video game?

This suggests Zoalords have down-time, too (After all, the only real problem they ever deal with is Guyver-related... well, and now Apollyon-related) and I doubt they spend it all standing around as clothesracks for enormous capes and shoulder armor. We just never see them do whatever it is they enjoy.

Dr.Barcas: Likes to putter in his bonsai garden.

Shin: Reads. Recently finished 'Cien años de soledad'.

Yentsui: Amateur stage player.

Waferdanos: Liked to fly.

Guyot: Predictably, he used to love competitive sports, especially tennis. Unfortunately those are out now because none of the other Zoalords play. He's trying chess now.

...Is the sort of thing I mean.

That being said, there are several female protagonists in Guyver, the one closest to being a separate main character being Valkyria. And, again, we only ever see her in action or when she is reflecting on occurrences in her life that are relevant to the main story. Could you imagine her putting on make-up? It's just not that sort of manga.

Guyver might not be that type of manga (shonen vs shojo), but I do have a feeling that there are times where "girls will be girls".  It's not like most of the vampires in Twilight or True Blood or Dracula go around killing people and drinking their blood, and for a real life example, it's not like the employees of Audi Sport spend every waking moment thinking of how to kick ass at Le Mans--a lot of them granted, since they've won 13 of the races there since 2000, but not all.

This is also kinda into how girly the girls are, what they do to try to stay sane, and what they do that we don't see that helps out their significant others (aside from Natsuki, who, though she's been linked/shipped with Tetsuro and Aptom, I believe that she's still technically single) or friends/allies.  Also, from my POV, and I hope that I don't sound pigish here, because at least they're not used (often) for fanservice or window dressing which often happens in shonen manga, all the females from Guyver are what I'd consider to be hot and attractive.

So that's sorta what I'm talking about, along with just opinions on them.

Frankly I have no idea what the girls would do outside their practical activities (although Mizuki's on a tropical island holiday now, so she's probably swimming and sunbathing a lot...).

Shizu... well she's probably either in a tank, regenerating to stretch what life she has left out as long as possible... and the rest of the time, probably trains to hone her skills. She has to - otherwise she and her Zoanoids could face a nasty surprise, considering Chronos and especially Doctor Barcas have to be working day and night to come up with a counter for Griselda and the Libertus. And she probably spends every moment she isn't training or resting with Agito. He's the only thing she cares about, after all.

Natsuki... well, she probably draws some consolation from her faith. Although I don't know how Christianity works in Japan. Does Chronos still permit free practice of religion?

Valkuria... she's the only one I imagine has a lot of free time. She doesn't need to be in a regeneration tank and physical exertion might do more harm than good. Maybe she reads? She can't really go out in public...

Hmmm. She's raised in an upper-class household somewhere in New York state. Maybe she plays the piano or something. Although I doubt there's a piano in Guyot's headquarters.

Or maybe she watched television - bloodsports and vulgar series and films, as a rebellion against her upbringing.

...I bet she watches Game of Thrones. None of the other girls would, I don't think, but she is totally different from them, culturally speaking, what with being American and all.

I've always wondered if Griselda's spinning blade whip attack was inspired by Shizu having a dance hobby when she was younger (even in human form, she's very athletic it seems), or it's simply a case of the blades being just a case of having her hair weaponized in her battle form?

Anyways, it seems that IMO, and this is speculation on my part, Shizu could've been a housewife if she and Agito ended up "normal".  She handled most of the domestic duties at Agito's summer home, seems adept at arts and crafts, and seems a lot like a stereotypical housewife type.  Either that, or she could've had a career in technology or business.  She seems to be one who could own and run a business, and because of the deal with the Libertus, her leadership skills are proven.

Natsuki is a sci-fi nut.  I can imagine her writing about or reviewing sci-fi stuff.  She's pretty creative and could also be an artist.  Natsuki is probably the easiest to pin down for that stuff, because it's pretty clear with her being leader of her high schools SF group and figuring out stuff about Zoanoids, and her interest in that stuff.

Mizuki, though, that can be harder to pin down.  She might be content being a housewife, maybe with a part time job.  Before the stuff with the Guyver units and such, she was a typical high school student (though she got excellent grades and was very good at academics) and a typical teenage girl.  Of course, we know that she's got Sho as a love interest, and if not for the Chronos and Guyver stuff, she and Sho would probably be a normal boyfriend/girlfriend couple.

But the caveat is the phrase "if not for..."  The "if not for..." is what throws a kink--and a massive one--into all of this.
