durendal Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 But we still don't know if he's pulled the trigger yet. That last thing we saw was him screaming like a girl. Besides, they don't know that they are on the opposite line of fire. I'm rooting for a Soma X Alleluiah pair up much like Four X Camille did in Zeta. You know, the more I watch this, the more semblance it has towards Zeta. You know, autonomous arm of the government abusing it's authority, lovers on opposing side, human enhancement, depiction of mass murder. The only thing were missing here are Newtypes. Quote
*V Guyver Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Yes, I was thinking that as well. Next episode we'll see a lot more of Soma and Allelujah. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Well, you can probably consider Tieria a type of Newtype since he's like an android...cyborg..something along those lines. Anyway, SomeXAllelujah; SetsunaXMarina; LouiseXSaji, SumeragiX??? Quote
*V Guyver Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Well, maybe he's a step towards having one, since many of the first new types on the original series were man made. The entire SEED plot revolved around man made New types, and even Gundam X had a few. But so far, the super soldiers of the series have proven to be the closest to the new types, they do have telepathy and incredibly reaction speed in combat, so they are actualy the closer to new types then Tieria. A shame he blew up the building filled with them, otherwise we would of had a ton more characters with similar abilities to deal with. Quote
red dangaioh ranger Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 guys see season 2 of gundam 00 - gundam 00 is cool and mr busho is cool Quote
durendal Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 Actually we are discussing season 2. Also, I think it's been 4 or 5 years, what's to stop the united federation from creating another set of super soldiers. Perhaps during this time they have perfected a more humane way of developing them. That instead on experimenting on kids, they can automatically convert an adult into an enhanced human. I have a feeling that Louise is a candidate for that. She was missing a hand right? And she does have the symptoms for it. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Ya know, after watching Eps.6, I'm detecting a small love triangle. Colonel Smirnovs son may have had the "Love at First Sight" for Louise while Louise still loves Saji (Soma read her mental state and said to her that her mind was constantly thinking of someone), and Saji still loves Louise. It makes me think that if Louise finds out that Saji is now helping Celestial Being that she may either quit A-LAWS and join Saji or she'll feel betrayed and betray Saji and possibly end up with Smirnovs' son. Quote
durendal Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 I get the feeling that I won't be liking Louise. I never did like her in the first season. She has this spoiled brat written all over her face. And spoiled brat usually tend to become emo after some life altering events. Perhaps Louise and Saji will turn into a love x hate relationship. I mean, something happened to her after season 1. Somebody must have tinkered with her noodle. Quote
*V Guyver Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 she was pretty annoying, almost like Mizuki minus the constant shouting of Sho's name and crying over little details... no we have the princess doing the constant crying. I will agree with you, the love triangle would be interesting. If she were to die, those tow would be after one another as much as Amuro and Char did. If she lives, they can probably go through an entire season of her being in conflicted emotion over the triangle. It shows some promise, and in turn this may actually redeem her character. Quote
Renegade Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 (edited) I'm personally very happy with how much less annoying Louise has become. Unfortunately, Saji's whining factor increased to make up for it. More importantly, did Cherudim have a midrange beam-rifle instead of a sniper rifle last episode? Wikipedia says that the sniper rifle can fold into a mid-range mode. I'm really confused about Tieria now. The doppleganger referred to himself as a clone, as in they are genetically identical, meaning they are alive. I thought they were just androids of the same model, but if they are alive then aren't they just modified humans, not much different from Allelujah and Soma? Either the translator didn't choose his words well, or the character designs aren't too creative. I'm a little surprised that the Allelujah/Mary issue was resolved so early in the season. It's really refreshing considering all the retarded drama episodes Gundam series tend to have over these conflicts usually. NEWS FLASH: TIERIA'S A CROSS DRESSER! Edited November 23, 2008 by Renegade Quote
*V Guyver Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 lol you beat me too it. Nothing more creepy then two identical people cross dressing as each other... Also the Innovators have much more in common with the New-type's then shown before. So about the chicks arm? Transplant, cybernetics? It's really got a faint honeycomb pattern across the arm where it was severed. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Well, considering how far into the future the show is set, I wouln't put it past her having a cybernetic prostetic arm. I'm also thinking that Asji may stay on as a permanent crew member for te Celestial Being. You'll all have to forgive me, I haven't seen Eps.8 yet as I totally spaced out DLing Eps.7 so I just finished watching 7 and I must say that I'm not surprised about Mary (Soma) and Allelujah kissing at the end. Quote
*V Guyver Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I'm more interested in how the CB's tactician is handling the whole Mary thing. Her reason for fighting for celestial being against was Asji. Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) From what I can tell, the innovators seem to be genetically modified humans like the super soldiers, but with the advantage of nanomachines to slow their aging and allow them to connect directly to certain machines. Also, anyone else think Louise is dying? Originally, I assumed that she was just taking the pills to speed up her reflexes like the enhanced soldiers in Gundam Seed, but it's beginning to look like she's using them to suppress a disease. Edited November 26, 2008 by Hyp3rB14d3 Quote
Toku Warrior Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 That's a possible theory. The particles from the beam rifle blast from the Gundam Thrones GN particles did make it impossible for the hospital in that area to regrow her hand. It could be that those GN particles may have poisoned her body and it's slowly killing her. That coul be why she stopped contacting Saji Crossroad 2 years before the season 2 timeslot. Quote
*V Guyver Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 it makes sense. I also find it interesting that Louise is indeed so incredibly rich that She's one of the main financial backers to A-Laws. Her immediately family must of been very rich to begin with, with her family and extended family dead, she most of been the sole hair, or one of the last few alive and must of gotten a horribly large inheritance from them combined. Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Just saw the most recent episode. I must admit, it's been a while since Setsuna did something stupid enough to get me annoyed with him. Or at least, it had been until I saw the new episode. What the hell was he doing that whole time Tieria was grappling with Saachez? He could easily have taken him out while Tieria held him down, but instead he just kind of sat back and watched until Saachezs got loose! The only explanation that I can possibly think of is that he knew about Seravee's hidden arm and assumed that it would do the job, but that still doesn't explain why he didn't step in when that didn't work! Also, anyone else notice that lately the series seems to be focusing more on Tieria than anyone else? Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Hey, the lunatic's back! Woo, all hail the return of vampire Hallelujah! Cause he's always a barrel of fun. Gun-barrel, that is. Quote
durendal Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 I have a feeling that the GN ARcher would be piloted by Pieres. Also, now I'm really convinced that they are following the Z Gundam plot. I think we can expect all the Gundam Meisters to die or go coocoo in the end of the series. Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hmm... Is anyone else wondering whether or not Allelujah also regained his ability to use quantum brainwaves when Hallelujah came back? Also, does anyone think Soma Periez will be making a return? After all, the particles brought back Hallelujah . Quote
durendal Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Well, in the case of Soma, she doesn't have problems with her dual identity. Alleluah's case is a problem of dual personality. I would be interested to see how Soma would react to Vampire Halleluah. At least this is not a complete carbon copy of Z Gundam. Quote
Archangel Ashes Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 lol dude I'm so happy Hallelujah is back. I bet Mary will pilot the GN Archer. I think either Lasse or Saji will pilot the O Raiser. I like that new mobile suit that came in with the innnovator pilot. I dislike Saachez but his Throne gundam looks amazing. Quote
durendal Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 I think I can predict that in the last part of the series, there will be a four way battle between Celestial Beings, Innovators, Federation and A-Laws. If not the federation, maybe a new faction would be introduced. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Well for all we know, Kataron could become a future enemy to Celestial Being if they ever got their hands on a fake GN generator and designs for some of the A-LAWS mobile suits. Quote
