well nearly finished this model just some highlights and lacquer to finish then the base . I had to mix the colours to get he right shade of purple/blue but turned out well i think.

what lacquer are you using for the finish??

thanks for comment Aether i will be using a satin lacquer so it has a slight sheen but not look too plasticy.

My next model is guyver 1 which already assembled and primed gotta get the paints the weekend.

Looks really good, but don't make it too shiny otherwise you might get more of a "robotic" look

see if you can get some shellac.

silly me thought I could use an airbrush.

shellac is for nails and could flake or even distort the paint. with the lacquer i can spray a light layer without thinking about smudging.

When i finished my other model i coated it in a mixture of pva glue and water and some of the detail in the face smudged and has to be redone again.

Oh, i was thinking about shellac to give it a sheen like chitin.

I didn't realise it would have that effect ^^;
