WoW this might be a series i can actually watch as it comes out!!! unlike Naruto or Garo because im not up to date with them!

i must say Bountyhunters sounds cool ( is it set in hawai and one is called Dog?? :loopy: )

only thing im not liking is the look of yellowrangers robot.

however i do really like the look of those new costumes, they look cool!! i mean after 35 years of lycra its got to be time for a slight change !

..these are suits that could actually and sensibly exist in the real world. I mean, nobody wears spandex in real life. not unless they are in a dance studio. .

yeah the yellow robot is quite different from the others, but I love the idea of it being an ass. I look forward to seeing how they interact :)

nobody has watched this new entry yet? I must say....I did not like costumes that much at first but like Fourze it is starting to grow on me, I also love the Mighty Morpin references the series has, it brought a smile to my face. anyways here is the official opening for Go Busters, it is pretty catchy I must say.

cheers Odin! well I have been waiting for TV-Nihon to release episode 1 of gobusters before i watch the final episode of gokaiger.

I don't want that sense of emptiness when a series finishes and there is no series to replace it.

it shouldn't be too long now.

edit:

oh the video has been removed! never mind . ^^;

I watched episode 1 last night then.

it's pretty interesting. kinda like dekaranger i thought.

and 'let's morphin' is pretty funny.

can't really comment about how good it is, since that is just one episode, but the mecha are pretty impressive.

the way they are using the CGI is very different from past series and i think it works really well.

I know right? even the practical effects look pretty impressive, at least to me...I think it is how good they are getting the angle shots when doing the explosions.

i went ahead and watched ep 1 of Gobusters and 8-) wow!

now ive only seen as recent as Boukenger but this seems decades ahead of it.

the CGI blend with live action is smooooothe, and the quality of it is good aswell, it doesnt look crap.

triplechanging zord?! baddass.

only qualm is why arent their morpher things (proper name escaped me) colour co ordinated ?? theyre all blue!!

dont know if i should watch this yet, as it might make the preceeding sentai series i havent watched yet seem not so good!

im sure i will though, as surely it can only get better !?!?

it seems odd that the ratings have been so bad for this series so far.

I don't really understand why but the ratings are around 3% rather than previous series initial ratings which have generally been around 6%

anyhow, I have seen episode 2 so I know a little bit more about it.

about the morpher things... well it seems they are not really providing their abilities, they are more of a catalyst. it is really interesting that the powers seem to be within the gobusters themselves. they don't just become the gobusters. they ARE the gobusters. I am not sure if this has happened before.

up to now the mecha have seemed somehow different from what we have seen in the past. I think the presentation of the red guy as a big robot in the first episode might be seen as discouraging? maybe it suggests that there is no gattai robo? I doubt that actually, but i dunno. just wondering if there is any reason why it's not popular.

I mean, we all seem to have received it very well.

seriously you guys should definitely watch this series, it is shaping up to be one of the best Super sentai series to date, at least to me. The thing that i like the most is as how detailed it is to explain how each thing works in the series from the gobusters themselfs up until the mechas that they used, it is definitely living up to the cyberpunkish feel that it is trying to convey.

watching it, loving it :)

yep, all the things you're saying, great.

i love how they haven't done a gattai in the first or second episodes. or third or fourth.

I like how everything clearly has a motive. it isn't some arbitrary thing where the monster wants to generate screams of humans for some weird power source. while that isn't always awful, there have been many series where the motivations of the characters seems to be pretty much absent.

in this, everything actually seems to have a place.

not sure what episode i've seen to, but I am sure i have 1 or 2 on my computer yet to view.

Wow.

I just witnessed ryuji's weakness.

Gobusters has reached the level of hurricangers.

These characters are interesting!

It's been too long.

I agree with you completely Ryuki, Go-Busters have officially become one of my favorite super sentai shows so far (although I don't watch a lot of super sentai). what do you guys think of the series so far, some people apparently don't like Go-Busters for some odd reason so I'm curious to hear your opinions, as for me I love everything about it, the plot was well thought out and interesting, they made the series very technical explaining how everything works from the go-busters to the Buster machines also giving it a sorta realistic feel, I also like the Power Rangers references they have in the series which so far are:

1. The morphers shout "It's Morphing time"

2. The giant monsters are called Megazords.

3. Evil Zordon aka Messiah (the total oposite to Zordon, A floating head that is evil, impatient, not very wise and always angry)

I also very much LOVE ENTER as a villain, he is very intelligent, resourceful, a badass, cunning and more than a match against any of the Go-busters and he is the first villain i have seen so far that has won against the good guys making him a big threat and he is not even the "big boss" , ESCAPE on the other hand is to me very annoying and useless, I don't even know why she was introduced in the first place since she has accomplished practically nothing compared to ENTER, maybe we will get to see her do more later on aside from being a good fighter but for now I don't like her.

Have anybody seen the most recent Go-busters episode? it is already subbed by Overtime and I must say it gave me the chills as well as gave me more reasons to like Enter and hate Escape who I am convinced is only there to provide extra muscle for Enter (which he doesn't need since he has demonstrated that he is more than capable to handle all the Go-Buster by himself without breaking a sweat). Another thing I want to say is a theory as to why Enter is so devoted to Messiah, Enter being a much more intimidating villain I find it hard to believe that he is just a Henchman, I believe that he is secretly letting him evolve and get stronger in order for him to take his power and use it by himself, who knows...maybe Enter is the guy who made Messiah or made him go Rouge trying to find a way to make himself be powerful or maybe I'm reading too much into it, anyways Enter is awesome and I will keep watching Go-buster until the end. I'm also going to be watching Hurricangers as well since Ryuki has been talking good things about it now it has peeked my interest.

btw..my favorite Go-Buster is Ryuji, he is the most interesting of the team, his power and weakness complement each other well and is the one that has had the most development Yoko being my least favorite.

I agree. I love Ryuji's 'weakness'. the first time it happened, reminded me of hurricangers and why i originally started watching super sentai.

(the two brothers, how they respond to each other and the other characters.)

what I really love to see in super sentai is attitude.

another reason why i love Enter, after having seen him in the recent episode, fighting ryuji in the lab. that was cool.

I like to see a baddie that is a human or near enough to a human who can be as bad ass and as skilled as the protagonists.

I haven't seen the latest episode yet, but I'll keep my eye out for it and watch it as soon as I get it.

The latest Busters episode left me with mixed feelings, on one hand it was emotional and suspenseful but at the same time the revelations of what Enter and Escape are and the episodes "climax" gave me more questions than answers as well as a bit of a disappointment, there are still about 20 more episodes or so left so I know that this is not the real end and there is some dark schemes yet to be revealed so here is hoping that it is all good cause this series just keeps getting better and better, on a side note the new Gavan will be appearing on the next episode so I guess they really are reviving the metal heroes back, I will post a new thread to discuss this later.

still watching?

I was thinking about this last night.

it seems to have slowed down story-wise.

I'm finding that I would like something more.

after the initial character introductions along with their weaknesses etc, it seems that the character development has been somewhat sporadic. there doesn't seem to be any real direction.

the characters don#t seem to have any more depth being added. for example, their weaknesses. why these particular weaknesses? then there is the seeming relationship between ryuji and escape. where has that gone?

it seems like the intricate story that was being weaved, has been almost abandoned.

I'm not sure i understand what's going on any more.

can you relate to what i am saying?

Dunno maybe they will touch on it soon, they have been focusing on developing Escape a lot more and does not seem as abnoxious as before, they have developed on Yoko too, also I love the new upgrades the Go busters have very symple designs but practical and apealing at least to me although this probably throws out the theory I had of nick being the sixth buster. I'm also curious to know what the hell happened to Enter latelly, he seems to have gone to some very big changes apparently since he has powered up considerably and even made Escape scared of him, I'm betting that Enter really is the main badguy that is just using Messiah to acheive his goals and once he has what he wants he will disposse of him or take his powers probably. XD This is one of the few series that i have seen where the Henchman is the real threat and not the "Big boss" since I really can't feel intimidated by messiah since we know so little of him and has done nothing basically but being a plot device. :P

yeah I agree, there have been some very cool moments and I am still enjoying it.

just felt a little bit like something was missing.

like the last episode was very cool.

when they were at the wedding and that dark bride walked in, that was so very cool!!

I really loved that part.
