Guest Ghogiel Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Some Guyver porn I had sitting around for a good while I never go around to doing anything with. I'm thinking of picking is back up. Kinda at the stage where I have to split it up into parts, But before I do that I want to mak sure I'm not being a tard with proportions/silhouette. I'll resculpt a lot of it where it is blobby/sketchy looking. Just making sure main form is ok before I split it up. Anything looking dumb? wrist, neck length, elbow position, fatness of forearms, that sort of thing. Bare in mind the hands and shins are quite rough, a couple bits I left off atm in the neck area. and yeah he's green for now Quote
Salkafar Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Holy cow. That looks awesome. Yeah, there are parts missing, but you already said so... his vibro-blades, and his neck guard... But it looks like a photograph of a plastic model! Darn! Quote
*BananaKing Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Whoa epic model sir! The fingers are bothering me, they look like gloves right now but the guyver armor has plates on the tops of each finger and hand so remember to keep that in mind if you plan to resculpt. What program did you use, Zbrush? Also if you can I'd move the head sensors closer to his guyver horn (Idk what its called, the crown piece guyvers have) they're a little too in the middle of the head to look correct. If you have reference, look at their position, they reside between the crown-piece and where the human ears would be. Otherwise, I love the armor itself, it looks really spot on in the arms and legs and chest. I love how the face came out, it looks so awesome Great job EDIT: Just read your comment about the hands, I know they're challenging but they're what's destroying the illusion the most for me atm Quote
*Jess♥ Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 nice work. I'm disagreeing with bananaking on his sensor orbs. guyver 2's orbs were further down his head. in fact i think the entire top of his head is too pointed. his nose area looks like it is not protruding enough. the rest of his body looks kinda flat and square-ish. guyver 2 has very rounded armour pieces. it all needs to be rounded a lot more. his thighs are not muscular enough. his eye sockets need to be deeper. actually, can we get more close up images of his head? side and front view. I can manipulate in photoshop to demonstrate some of the things i think need to be adjusted. excellent work, you have some good proportions on the placement of parts. it's a very nice model. Quote
Guest Ghogiel Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Go for it. I didn't exclusively use the manga as ref for the head. So if you start pinching up the front of it to match that.. but I'll see how it goes, and give it a shot. The profile view is probably where the major changes need to be made imo. Front is what is more or less matched to my main ref, which was a still from the anime. But whatever, scribble on that mofo. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 ok thanks I took it into paint instead as it is easier to simply draw lines on it to give guides as to where i think things might look better. see what you think of my suggestions anyhow. I based my observations on my figurine for now because i always believed that it is accurate. i can take a look at the manga later to make sure. got to leave the house soon. Quote
