Yep, college is next for me. I think it'll start in August, but students staying in the dorms will be moving in early before term starts.

I'll be heading out to California next Sunday to stay with my mom for the summer. I'll probably do some shopping there for dorm stuff and possibly comic/game stuff.

I finally broke down and got a facebook account... Still cannot believe I did it. It's a good way to keep in touch with friends and all, but how the hell do you turn off email alerts?

well you can block some programs if they appear too often, but maybe there is something in your privacy options?

Seriously, why in the hell are we getting so many tornados in my area of the US? We live in Tornado Ally and all, but this is ridiculous to have one after another in a matter of two months.

Edit: Just got done de-fleeing the carpet in the trailer. Totaly not fun to have flees jump on you and having to spread powder everywhere.

Arrived in Sacramento, CA four days ago. So far my mom has kept me busy with shopping, art, walking, and cooking. She's going to try to get me lessons to learn how to speak Japanese, and hopefully I can try to teach myself to read Japanese while I'm out here. I do have pictures and will upload them when I can sometime soon.

I got to play designated driver a few nights ago while up at a Nursing conference with my mom and a fellow nurse. We decided to go to a sports bar to watch Vancouver vs Boston in hockey and both my mom and her friend decided to drink beer while watching the game. My mom handed me the clicker to the Prius and told me I was driving them back since I'm underage and the only sober person in the group.

Right now, we're currently unloading all the boxes that came from mom's previous home in Vermont. So far it's turned out to be less taxing seeing that we had expected to deal with idiots after they destroyed the driveway at the house in Vermont after we told them several times to get a smaller truck.

Mom unearthed a coffee maker last night [emote=onion]harp[/emote] I got to clean it up and discover that it heats up quick. I didn't realize that the switch was turned to 'on' and I grabbed the pot, put my other hand under it, and went [emote=onion]tears[/emote]

Finally got back to painting something. My mom saw a painting of a sakura tree in a store and wants me to make something similar, and she wants four of them in each season. I'll take pictures and post them on here and deviantArt when I'm done.

I also found a book on manga anatomy that I have found very helpful. I might be drawing more men figures soon after I'm done painting.

I'm upset....scratch that: make it pissed [emote=onion]fury[/emote] I just found out that two of my cats either ran away or they were killed by a stray dog. Also, my dog got shot and ran over and my dumbass brother didn't take him to the vet before leaving to go visit a relative the same day. My next door neighbor took him to the vet and is now looking after him and the remaining cat. ARRRRGH!!!! I can't even trust my own older brother to look after my pets let alone his own cat!

I have a brother who is too stupid to know how to use a light switch and doesn't seem to understand what a bin is for, leaves shoes at the bottom of dark stairs and leaves dirty stinky clothes on the indoor line in the kitchen where people prepare food.

Wow. That reminds me of the reasons why I banned my brother from hosting large Halo parties. The messes were ridiculous.

I'm about ready to wring my dad's neck. He apparently doesn't have the balls to tell me he found a new home with a fenced yard for my dog, and the person who told me about this was my grandma. *sigh* I hate it when he assumes that I'd be upset if he told me because he can't get it through his thick skull that it pisses me off when I hear the story second-hand by someone else.

I've noticed lately on fanfiction.net that my story is getting a lot of attention. Last month it reached over 100 views. No reviews though...Oh well.

I took Mom to see the Green Lantern, good movie by the way, and she liked it. Now I'm tempted to go find the original comic book series when funds allow it.

I've lost my mind. There's no doubt about it. I got my mom hooked to one of my video games on the Nintendo Wii last night. Oh my Lord I can't believe I got my mom to like a farming game.

At the insistence of my dear fluffy mother, I got a Nintendo 3DS. Why? My Nintendo DS Lite can't connect to WPA internet router settings and I could not connect to any WiFi spot anywhere. Anywho, along with the super expensive system I got the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and some accessories to go with the system (headphones, a carrying case, extra styluses, and screen protectors). The game's fun, but I wish the 3D effects wouldn't give me a headache and this is coming from someone who's never had a problem with 3D effects before.

Aside from that little bit of randomness, I'm planning on going to a few art museums this coming weekend. That, or try to find out if one of my favorite comedians is performing in the area soon. In any case, mom's going to take me shopping to update my wardrobe [emote=onion]drop[/emote] and for the record: I hate shopping for clothes.

I just got word from my friend on the cosplay I commissioned her to do. She had to buy more material for the cape, and she's got a majority of the...I don't know what to call it, so I guess uniform done? She had to make it into two pieces to calm her fear of me suffocating at the anime con (or on Halloween). She also made it sleeveless, which is starting to make me worry that she's going off track. I hope she doesn't get off track too terribly bad...
