odin Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 "Touch my nose". I was expecting a fart. what a coincidence , i was thinking the same thing Quote
*BananaKing Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I was expecting a SUUUPER weapon to pop out of his chest; it is franky after all you never know what weapons he had Quote
durendal Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 You know, ever since I started reading One Piece, I have considered thursday nights as One Piece Night. It's the time of the day where I come home and get my One Piece Fix. Anyway, as not to stray too off topic, do you think we can finally expect a showdown this week? The chapters these past weeks has us see events brewing up, and it's only a matter of time before everything boils over. Quote
*BananaKing Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I think its gonna be another build-up chapter, after all the whole group still isn't together yet. Brooke, Sanji, Zoro, and Luffy are still out in Shabondy, but their time is closing in. I think this might be the last build up chapter though because we've got Sentamaru coming on one end and Fake Luffy coming on the other; not too long until someone runs into Luffy. I want to see what the Blackbeard Pirates look like now. I always imagined that ever since he broke out the level 6 prisoners, his crew fights too much. After all, they are rough pirate captains who want his position...except Shiryuu. Quote
durendal Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 I couldn't resist and had to check out the spoiler for chapter 601. And no, I don't think this would be a build up chapter since there is some action involved. Hurrah! Quote
Divine-Guyver Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 anyone noticed the tears in the last panel? epic... just epic. Quote
odin Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 well I guess the pacifistas are just canon fodder now from the looks of this new chapter, it is a shame it has not been too long since they have been introduced but now the crew can just spit on them and they will get destroyed lol , i guess it was inevitable. I guess sentomaru has some form of respect to luffy despite them being enemies and holy crap!! Luffy's Bounty is now over 400,000,000 although i expected more based on all the stunts he has done since impel down, you think the crew will get new bounty counts? some of them have done some things that would probably make their raise their bounty again for example Nico Robin for that rebel incident on the bridge and Franky destroying one of Vegapunk's labs and probably sanji and zorro for being able to take down (and in a very awesome way might i add) a pacifista. Quote
*BananaKing Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Remember the Strawhat crew was presumed dead until just recently. But the appearance of the new crew is probably why they kept Luffy's bounty. I don't think anyone actually knows Franky destroyed Vegapunk's lab And the rest of the crew haven't really done anything to the world besides get better at their respective skills. I think since the real crew has resurfaced, we might see a bounty increase for some members, not all. (Chopper, Nami, and Ussop to name a few) I agree Robin's bounty probably went up a bit but I think only her's and Luffy's will have gone up, since they're the only two to do anything against the World Government in the last 2 years as far as we know. I would love to see Brooke get an updated Wanted! poster though, c'mon, how cool would it be to see "Soul King Brooke Bounty 33Million Berries" and have a picture of his skeleton face with those awesome shades. I hope he keeps that rock-star look cause its just great! Quote
durendal Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Well, after seeing Zorro and Sanji take down a Pacifista that easily, I'm really inclined to believe that they have learned Hakki as well. Also strange that Sentoumarou would use the term hakki, as I remember him saying it in a different name. Similar to that ones used by CP9. Luffy, able to beat opponents with hakki with his raw talent, imagine what he could do if he mixed those with Hakki. It's either the other shichibukai would be a piece of cake, or they are incredibly powerful. I'm beggining to fear a Dragonball factor here. Quote

Edited October 22, 2010 by odin Quote
*BananaKing Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Remember, Luffy was shown haki so he could fight the new world on a level playing field. Luffy saw just how weak he was at Marinefold and he understood he needed a change. Marine rank and pirate bounty are not a reflection of strength in One Piece, Oda said it himself. Its a fan based rank system, but the Shichibukai are much tougher than their respected bounties. Oda said at the time of Alabasta, Crocodile"s "true" bounty would be at least double his old one (Over 160million) berries to reflect his strength. Just look at the Shichibukai, they're SUPER strong! Even Boa Hancock is really strong. Do you think her 80million bounty reflects her strength? That would mean she'd be weaker than a supernova...I bet she can destroy a pacifista. She'd just refuse to do it because the pacifista would overload upon seeing her beauty. Now I don't think we'll be seeing a DBZ shift here. I just think we'll be seeing bigger players step into the ring like the admirals and the shichibukai become the major antagonists rather than random pirate crews. Besides, I don't Sentamaru can go down so easily against Luffy. Sure he was shocked when Luffy beat a pacifista so easily, but I think its because he didn't think Luffy had that kind of haki, he even mentioned it. I think we've only seen the top of the iceburg, now we'll see the huge epic behemoth underneath...and his name is Blackbeard! Quote
odin Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I think we've only seen the top of the iceburg, now we'll see the huge epic behemoth underneath...and his name is Blackbeard! ಠ_ಠI see what you did there, or was it by accident? Quote
*BananaKing Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 It was by accident...or was it? Duh Duh Duuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh! Quote
durendal Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 Oh nos! Sanji may have gotten stronger, but he has gotten extremely weak against curvy women. Oh the horror he must have gone through. Enduring the incessant advances of the kama must have multiplied his libido by a thousand fold. This got me thinking, if Sanji ended up in the Isle of women, would this by any chance turn him gay? Quote
*BananaKing Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 If that were true....I can't see sanji being secretly gay. We know him as the ladies man, c'mon! Quote
odin Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 yeah, I he is not gay his hormones goes trough the roof now that he sees a real woman, I guess we are going to be seeing more of his nosebleed take offs more often than i though, being trapped in newkama land really made sanji appreciate women even more which is going to make him totally useless when faced with a woman enemy, and none of the crew even know the hardships he had to suffer, Sanji is my hero, man i am dying to see what the crew is capable to do now, oh and WTF?! Luffy is going to tame a freaking kraken?! Oda is milking luffy's badass factor to the limit, can't wait to see how he is going to pull it off. Quote
*BananaKing Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Probably the saw may he tamed Mohmoo, just by staring at it. Seriously did anyone expect to see Mohmoo again after all this time? I certainly didn't thats for sure. But what are they gonna do with this Coribu guy? I thought he wanted to join the Strawhat crew not kill them...I don't like him, he's very bland Quote
durendal Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 I think Caribou joined the straw hats just to kill them. Everybody knows that the easier way to raise your bounty is to defeat somebody with a higher bounty than you. I don't think Caribou poses a threat to the straw hats, he's just might be able to annoy them for a little. also, I wouldn't be surprised at what Luffy wants to do know. Heck, he spent years on an island filled with giant monsters. This is also the same for Ussop. I think Luffy just got the idea of using the Kraken to draw the thousand sunny. Who knows, maybe the kraken would become part of the crew. Quote
*BananaKing Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Like how Laboon is? All I see is Luffy Zoro and Sanji glarring at the Kraken and the beast just gives up Quote
durendal Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 Well, we still won't know unless we actually see it. This chapter is rather anti-climactic for me. When Caribou was about to invade the Thousand Sunny, I was expecting the strawhats to have a short workout kicking ass. But I guess their current strenght would require far more stronger opponents to break out a sweat. I mean, they didn't even need to invoke Hakki to scare off mohmoo. Quote
*BananaKing Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 They never did dude, Sanji and Luffy both smacked him enough for him to remember. I have a feeling Coribu might stick around to see Fishman Island and that annoying little crew of his will follow and bring big trouble to the island. Maybe Jimbei will kick Coribu's ass Quote
durendal Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 Yeah, but I don't expect Caribou and his crew to be much difficulty for the straw hats. With their current standing, only a Vice Admiral or higher would be able to pose a challenge to them. I'm also wondering, do you think by now Teach would have a lot of devil fruit powers? He is most likely one of the most powerful adversary for the straw hats. Quote
*BananaKing Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Teach's crew doesn't seem to need Devil Fruit powers but I do see them being mutanous with each other. After all they are supposed to be the negative version of the strawhats and it would be interesting to see them not get along while the strawhats are all friends Quote
durendal Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 I meant Teach himself having several devil fruit powers. Everyone was surprised when he managed to obtain the devil fruit powers of White Beard. While his first attempt at stealing devil fruit power was successful, I don't see any reason why he should stop there. Who is to stop him from getting Logia type powers. Also, I think there is one more emperor that we haven't seen. I was actually surprised when it was mentioned that Shanks was one of the 4 emperors. There are still a lot of things that still needs to be covered, Quote
