i think the DSi is a good example of pathetic marketing.

first of all the unit looks nearly identical.

secondly the name is the same just with an 'i' lobbed on the end.

I walked past my local game store and i saw that they were taking preorders for this thing. at first glance at the posters I thought they had made a mistake and were taking preorders for teh nintendo DS.. the normal thing. It really wasn't apparent that it was somehow new and in some way better at all.

in fact after taking a moment to think about it all I was thinking was "so they stuck a camera on it" and that's pretty much it.

it's probably got more? I don't know and i don't care to be honest. the way they've brought this thing inspires no interest or intrigue whatsoever.

That's one way of putting it, opinions do vary but I couldn't agree more with you Ryuki. It's basically Nintendo's attempt to make a multi-media variant of the DS, but they did this building off the original which was never intended to do much more than games.

Examples of compromise include removal of the GBA slot, so the DSi dropped backwards compatibility with all GBA games.

Even how it processes the coding of exising DS games had to be modified specifically for the DSi so not all DS games will work properly on the DSi. Though that video review of the web browsers does indicate it can surf better than the DS but I've seen Smart Phones with better browsing capability and speed.

On the plus it can download games, play music, and take pictures, which of course will be a feature that they will integrate into games just like similar camera systems have been used before on consoles. However to me this ultimately defeats the purpose of the DS and with much more powerful multimedia products out there that this will be one of the worst products that Nintendo has come out with in quite awhile.

It's too early to say, all we know for sure is one game developer has revealed that another is already working on a project for the PSP2, which means they must have a prototype to work with. However until they release the product they could change practically everything about it.

Needless to say there is quite a wish list from all PSP users and dual analog sticks is number one on that list.

Btw, that image is just a concept art they released a little over a year ago so it is unlikely to look like that but until they release an official image the dreamt up ones are all we got to look at.

My PSP doesn't get much play time because of the lack of dual analog sticks. :( I just hope that the new PSP will have more functions and stuff.

It says Misc. gaming News, but if my post is out of place, please feel free to inform me.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja 4 Shippuden is coming out this month. I could not be happier! I can't wait to play it...I'm already foaming at the mouth waiting for this thing to come out!

random note: why the hell haven't they made a Guyver game...and if they have, what is it called and where can I get it?
