Cloudgate Building - Three Months Ago

Hyp3rB14d3 awoke to the sounds of battle. Huh? What's going on? The sounds continued, and a blast suddenly rocked the building, taking out part of the floor of his cell and giving a clear view to the floor below. Whoa! After a few moments, Hyp3rB14d3 approached the hole and looked out of it. As he did so, something went by. However, Hyp3rB14d3 was unable to make out anything more than a mesh of unidentifiable zoanoid body parts in the brief glimpse he saw of the creature. ...Now might be a good time to leave...

Dropping out of the hole, Hyp3rB14d3 landed in a crouch. Looking around, Hyp3rB14d3 discovered the area both deserted and destroyed. Through a hole in the far wall, zoanoids could be seen battling what Hyp3rB14d3 could only assume was the Guyver and what looked like another zoanoid. Looks like I'm a few stories up... More importantly, however, he could also see a familiar hilt protruding from behind a half destroyed wall. There it is! Hyp3rB14d3 ran into the room, where he discovered both his weapon and armor. This is convenient. Looks like Chronos stored them in the same place.

After taking a few moments to put on his armor, Hyp3rB14d3 began running around until he found the nearest elevator. However, just as he pressed the button, the sound of another blast echoed from the direction of the hole. ...Better take the stairs. Fortunately, the nearest staircase was within plain view, and within moments, Hyp3rB14d3 was heading down the the ground and to freedom.

By the time Hyp3rB14d3 reached the ground floor, the fight had escalated into something out of a Godzilla movie. Deciding that getting out of the collateral damage zone took precedence over stopping to catch his breath and watch the fight between the two (relatively) little guys and the giant monster, Hyp3rB14d3 continued running despite his exhaustion. Apparently, this was the right choice. Not long afterwards, almost all of the buildings between him and the battle were destroyed in an instant. Crap! How far away do I need to be? Hyp3rB14d3 would continue running until the fight ended.

Present

Once again, Hyp3rB14d3 finds himself searching the neighborhood for the terrorists, his sword, wings, and armor concealed beneath a trenchcoat. And once again, he finds himself thinking back to that day 3 months ago.

I still can't believe how powerful those terrorists were. Or how much collateral damage Chronos was willing to cause to stop them. Or the fact that, despite how dangerously reckless and extreme the measures Chronos took were, that they weren't enough. If these two factions keep fighting, people are going to get involved. People have already gotten involved. And until I can find a way to get home, I'll run the risk of getting involved myself. ...One of the sides needs to be stopped. And since Chronos rules the world while the terrorists are just a small group...

OOC: Sorry, I've been a little busy lately. I'm close to finding a new job and I'm running errands out the wazu. I'll try and post an insert later if I can think of anything.

BK, can ya tell me about the people who called us 'targets? This way I know how to properly react to them.

Koujin and X continued talking while the two men continued to watch them. After about a day of traveling, they touched down in Moscow, Russia and soon made their way to claim their bags. While waiting for their bags Koujin began looking around the airport to get familiar with how things looked while X just went through his palm pilot looking over their schedule for the day, finding the right address for their hotel and looking up the latest news about Chronos and rebel offensives in America, Europe and Japan.

The other two men who had been tailing them on the plane stood behind a pillar and continued to observe them. One of the men lifted his hand to his ear and pressed a small communications device attached to it to activate the device.

"Sir, we have spotted the targets at the baggage claim section of the airport in Moscow. What are your orders sir?" asked the man.

"Don't confront them yet. Just keep an eye on them. Our informants told us that this...X person would be coming but I never knew about him bringing a friend." said the voice over the C.D. (communications device).

"Sir, would you like us to get a picture of the other young man and send it to you?"

"No, it doesn't really matter. No matter what abilities X possesses, he can't stand against the powers of my Lost Number Military Forces. Heh, I just can't wait for him to slip up because then I could get a new lab speciman to play with."

"Very well sir. We shall continue to keep visual on the targets."

"You do that comrade. I'll get a nice room set up for them here in the mean time."

"Yes sir. This is red eagle, over and out." the man said as he ended his transmission back to his home base.

Of course, their presence didn't go unnoticed as Koujin saw them starring at him and X the whole time back at the plane. Koujin didn't like this one bit. He knew X wouldn't betray him as he knew X thought he was to valuable to have as an allie than an enemy. His only thought was that someone had snooped in on X's informant and alerted his fellows about their plans. Koujin stepped next to X and made sure that the two men didn't motice them talking.

"I think we may have a problem." Koujin stated to X.

"You only realised they've been following us now. My, my. For a Guyver, you do take awhile to realize that someone's following you." X chided him which only got him an eye roll from Koujin.

The two of them had become good friends an Koujin even let X board at his family mansion. X and Collin (Astral Guyver) had also become good friends and were known to be up at all hours of the night slamming down drinks and playing cards. Some of the maids and butlers would join in on the games when they were off duty. Of course, as with any friendship Koujin had, he also learned how to deal with all sides of a friend and X was no different. It had taken a few weeks for him to get used to X's wise cracks and Shiori had almost torn him a new butthole for the time he accidentally walked in on her while she was in the bathtub soaking. It took Collin and the rest fo the residents at the Daniels manner to stop the two Quantum Guyvers from killing their new house guest.

"You'll never lose that wise side fo yours will you Xavier?"

"I guess I sholdn't be playing around should I?" X knew that when Koujin used his real name he was serious and he didn't use it often. "Well, our real target is located at the hidden base near the Tunguska River in Krasnoyarsk Krai."

"Hmm, well if we can ditch our two tailers then I can call the navi-spheres to teleport us to a closer town near there." Koujin replied. "That way they wouldn't be able to keep up with us for at least a day or so."

"It would give us time to plan out our strategy." X replied as their bags came around. They reached for their bags and then started making their ways for the doors. "I'll give us an opening and once we lose the losers, we can high-tail it in style."

"Sounds good to me." Koujin said with a small smirk crossing his face. They turned the corner of a nearby terminal with the two spys hot on their trail. As they made it to the parking lot Koujin stood near the edge of the highest part of the blockade wall near the back. He would use this point for the vortext summoning. X just stood a good 20 feet away as he prepared to welcome their guests.

OOC: Ok BK, you can take it from here. Even though I mentioned the vortex idea I doubt Koujin can summon it without Chronos Russia not picking up the power spike in the grid. This should help lead on to your other part of your idea that you mentioned to me via PM.

Heading back up to his room after breakfast, Kenji looked up just in time to see another Zoalord come striding down the hallway toward him.

"Hi, Mr. Jabir!" he called, waving, "What are you doing up here? I thought you and Mr. Luggnagg and Mr. Khan were doing stuff together."

"We are," Jabir said, smiling back at the boy. "I was wondering if you would like to come and sit with us while we had our meeting; I think it would be lonely to be up here all by yourself. And you're perfectly welcome to come down to the meeting room. It's a very comfortable meeting room, and you would have the three of us to talk to."

"You mean you wouldn't want me to go away?" he asked. "Mr. Shin always wants me to go away when I stay in his office and want to know what he's doing."

"Well, I did bring some books for you, so you wouldn't get bored. Still, I would think that you would want to have some company, now that your father is busy with Lord Archanfel."

The two men stopped and starred at X and Koujin, snow blowing as the wind began to pick-up. One raised his hand to his ear, "Situation has been comprimised, suggesting imediate and forceful action," he said. The other man smiled, matching X's smile. "I love it when they send the cannon fodder early, don't you Mr. Guyver? Guyver?" X said as he turned around and saw that Koujin was preparing for his teleport! X ran over to Koujin, yelling at him to stop. Koujin began to look around, only to barely dodge a sharp claw, that managed to scratch his chest. "Fast SOBs aren't they?" Koujin said as he jumped away from the enemy.

"Listen Guyver you can't-!" X said but was interrupted with Koujin transforming into his quantum guyver.

"Proceeding with critical action, transmitting location and battle data," the other enemy said as he threw away his sunglasses. His body transformed into a tall and fleshy creature with numerous moving appendages and both he and the mouth in his stomach laughed! The other enemy transformed into a creature with superior upper body strength and sharp claws. Koujin saw that the zoanoid couldn't stop shaking, "What's the matter? You having a censure?"

"You won't be laughing when I rip out your heart, guyver scum!" the enemy known as "Adrik" laughed. Koujin fired his head beam, but both of his megasmasher plates were slashed! "So speed is your trick, but my hyper sensors will take care of that!" Koujin said as he grabbed his chest.

"You don't know just what you're facing, do you?" Adrik laughed, "Nos fer donia, guyver!"

The other enemy, Ivanov, slowly slumped over to X while X's attention was diverted. X caught a glimpse of the zoanoid through a piece of glass on the ground and delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to the zoanoid's face, sending him flying! "Thank god Mr. Guyver's friends taught me some martial arts," X thought, "It'll come in handy when I get the other advent weapons." X ran over to Koujin in the hopes to aide his friend. Koujin's sensors located X coming from behind him and breathed a sigh of relief seeing that his friend was alright. Koujin summoned his vibro blades and began searching for Adrik. "Guyver wait you can't use-" X said as he noticed flashes of Adrik circling him. Ivanov ran to Koujin and leapt behind him as Adrik appeared behind X. X tried to turn around, but was slashed and sent flying into the urban streets. A car swerved out of the way and drove into a coffee shop, exploding upon impact as X rose up.

Koujin noticed Ivanov behind him and slashed him several times, as Ivanov landed. He then fell into a dozen pieces and became a jumbled mess on the ground. CRASH!!!! Kouijn saw the truck explode and X, trying to stand up. Kouijn took a t step forward, but then felt several tenticles begining to strangle him, and it felt like a horde of creates was holding him down! Then a nasty spike shved its way through part of his stomach, and Ivanov's head rolled in front of the quantum guyver. "You and your friend, should have never come to Russia," Ivanov's head laughed, "Now you and your friend shall suffer deeply!" Adrik appeared and grapped X by his head and lifted him to the roaring flames! X fired a laser at Adrik, but the second he fired, Adrik slammed X's face and then slammed him into the concrete. "You're too slow human," Adrik said, "I hate things that slow, like these people!" Adrik then turned his attention to the onlooking throng of frightened people and laughed as he dissapeared!

Soon, random people began being slashed! "What!!, Since when does Chronos attack civilians?!!" X shouted.

And there goes another wasted day. Hyp3rB14d3 groaned in frustration. He'd been searching the city for the guyvers for three months with no progress whatsoever. He'd covered the entire city searching from the roofs of buildings, and had even taken to sneaking into buildings and searching inside them. He had become fairly skilled at avoiding detection, and when he was detected, he was usually able to outrun those who had spotted him. Yet still, for all his trouble, he had discovered nothing.

He had long since considered the possibility that the guyvers could disguise themselves as humans like zoanoids, but was slowly coming to a different conclusion, one that he didn't want to acknowledge. ...Maybe they aren't here. I saw the guyver flying. It's possible that it could come here to fight with Chronos but actually lives somewhere else... If this was the case, then Hyp3rB14d3 would have no leads whatsoever. Maybe if I temporarily ally with Chronos... But they might try to put me into one of those tanks and make me a zoanoid. ...I think I'll just keep looking.

Just as he was about to give up for the day and return to the warehouse he'd been staying at, something caught Hyp3rB14d3's eye. A man, dressed in an unusual manner of clothing had just gone by. ...That's odd. Why's he in one of those... kimonos? Most people around here dress pretty normally. Hmm... Maybe he's going to a party or something?

After a few moments, Hyp3rB14d3 decided to follow him, albeit at a distance. Something's suspicious about him. Maybe he knows where the guyver's are. Or maybe he's with Chronos. ...Or maybe he actually is going to a party, and I'll get a chance to swipe some decent tasting food.

[Toku Warrior]

Koujin was struggling to breathe as the lost number Zoanoid was crushing the life out of him. He had noticed that the other Zoanoid that X was facing had attacked innocent people and that was something that Chronos woudn't do as they had a public image to uphold. 'How could they attack those that can't even defend themselves?!' Koujin thought angrily. He had had enough but then something started to trouble him.

Everytime he started to use one of his abilities X tried to stop him, but why. Koujin wondered about this and then it hit him hard. The Chronos Russia base would probably detect the energy disturbance even faster than he could have predicted and X knew it. If so, Koujin knew he would have to do something and something quick. He was going to need something that was neither a part of his quantum powers or his Guyver armor. That's when he remembered a little project he had some of his fathers' scientists work on.

"X! Listen, I think I know how we can win this fight and come out alive!" Koujin shouted.

"You ca't use your armor or the quantum coupler Mr. Guyver! Their base could detect the energy and they already know the Guyvers' basic weaknesses." X shouted back but he was then thrown into a light pole.

"Trust me, this isn't Guyver armor or Quantum Coupler using!"

With that, Koujin's control metal began to glow as he summoned a small boost dimension pocket. X looked on and got angry for not being listened to. "Damn it! I told you no special Guyver abilities!" Of course, what happened next surprised X. Before Ivanov knew what hit him, he was blasted back by Koujins' blast field. The next thing anyone saw was a special guantlet-like device appear out of the boost pocket and attach itself to Koujin's right forearm. The guantlet crackled with power and then three more objects came out of the boost pocket.

Two of them were small devices that attached themselves to Koujins' shoulder armor and the third and final piece attached itself to Koujins' right hip. The four seperate pieces of equipment then glowed and acted as one as Koujin then rushed over to X in a quick burst of speed and punched Adrik in the face with his newly equiped guantlet. The new force of power sent the zoanoid flying and Koujin grabbed X and took off towards the roof of a nearby building.

X just looked at the new equipment that Koujin was wearing and wondered what the hell Koujin had been doing in his spair time. "Mr. Guyver, you have some explaining to do about your new toys." X told his companion.

"Yeah, but first we better hide and then I'll explain." Koujin told him and with that they ducked into the shadows and waited for things to cool down.

Kumori was carefully walking along the streets, to not be noticed by any Chronos patrols or spies. He was in desperate seek of Guyver 1, for he was possibly a greater ally than anyone else he had encountered during his battle against Chronos, although it hadn't been very eventful. Kumori though about J, K & L for a second, he couldn't telepathically contact any of them... they were most likely dead, Kumori thought, wondering how they found out about J, K & L... Perhaps an accident? No, something felt wrong about the situation.

Kumori felt a presence nearby, but did not stop to find out who or what it was... unaware so far that he was being followed, he continued his not-so-good search for Guyver 1.

Kumori needed a clue, perhaps Guyver 1 himself still had an ally, or more... perhaps friends too... Kumori stopped walking and stood next to a street light, slightly leaning on it, lighting up a cigarette.

(OOC - no idea where he got those cigarettes from haha... guess I'll go for one too until the next post)

Ivanov and Ardik got themselves together and started searching for X and Koujin. "Damn it!" Ivanov shouted, you lost them!"

"Shut up, we'll find them, even if we have to blow up the city," Adrik replied.

"No we must deliver our report to Director Kajima, the report is already overdue and he needs to know that the human brought a guyver with him," Ivanov said as his various parts came back together. The two lost numbers soon left after that. X and Koujin breathed a sigh a relief and got out of their hiding place.

"Listen Guyver," X explained, "we can't afford to risk you using your quantum abilities here. We have no idea just what this radiation does or how it could react to your quantum powers. It might kill you! So please, you have to avoid using your coupler and your other forms...I know it sounds difficult, but its too high of a risk."

"Very well, but it'll make fighting these zoanoids a hell of a lot tougher," Koujin replied.

Now we have to get to Tunguska, the sooner the better," X said, "I'm not sure if we should go through the cities and use public trasportation, its quite evident that Kajima expected us and no doubt sent that little "escort" to dispose of us."

"Well we won't get anywhere standing around here," Koujin said.

"Oh there's something I've been meaning to ask you, just what the hell are those things on your body? They don't look like guyver weapons, care to explain just what you've been working on Mr. Guyver?" X asked, putting his shades back on.

Koujin had been expecting that question. He knew that once he used his new top secret project that X was going to get curious so the only thing he could do was tell the truth.

"Well, believe it or not, these gadgets are actually a combination of Creator Tech and Nano Tech." Koujin replied. X looked at him with an expression of surprise on his face as he looked the gadgets up and down. "So what's their purpose?" X asked him.

"Simple really. The two shoulder mounts act like a quantum coupler but instead of using quantum energy, they can actually draw energy directly from the boost dimenstion. You see, within the core of each shoulder mount there is a gravity globe-like device which can summon and properly channel boost energy and send it into my armor, giving it extra oomph." Koujin told him.

"Wow, that is amazing. But how does it regulate it through the body without a proper channel on your limbs?" X asked with a curious tone.

"That's what these guantlets are for. They take the newly added boost dimension energy being pulled into the body via the shoulder mounts and focus it through the limbs at safe levels."

"Well what about ones for your legs? I notice the the ones on your hips so I can guess those are for probably ment for stability measures but why not ones for legs?" X asked.

"Well....ya see," Koujin put his hand behind his head and one could imagine a sweat drop appearing on his head. "The scientists haven't finished the leg components yet so this new extra power armor is only 60% complete. The leg components are still being worked on and so are the ones for my chest plates."

"So you're telling me you used those armaments when they aren't even fuly finished. Are you crazy?! You could have killed yourself by doing that!" X shouted at him.

"I know, I know but it was well worth it to test them out. I'll know when the others are finished which shouldn't take long. I also had some external weaponry made as well and those should be done hopefully by the end of the day. Does this answer your questions?"

X just looked at him with a 'I give up' look on his face and just sighed. 'I can't believe that he can be so reckless. Reminds me of Robert sometimes, heh.' X thought.

[Hyp3rB14d3]

Silently, Hyp3rB14d3 followed the man in the kimono. Which was a surprisingly difficult task, despite the man's unique attire. The man moved quickly and cautiously, and kept moving through shadows. Does he know I'm following him? Hyp3rB14d3 couldn't help but wonder.

Hyp3rB14d3 nearly lost track of him several times before he finally stopped. ...What's he doing? As the man pulled out a cigarette and lit it up, Hyp3rB14d3 nearly groaned. That was an awfully long walk just to have a cigarette. He definitely knows. He's waiting for me to show myself. I guess all that's left is to confront him directly.

After taking one last moment to ensure that his trench coat completely concealed his armor, wings, and sword, Hyp3rB14d3 stepped out of the shadows. "So, can you speak English? Because if you can only speak Japanese, this is going to be a real pain."

Curling up on one of the big, soft couches in the room where he'd decided to stay, Kenji looked up from his book. Mr. Jabir, Mr. Luggnagg and Mr. Khan seemed to just be talking about stuff. He'd asked them what they were doing once, but Mr. Khan had just said that he wouldn't be interested in what they were doing and then patted him on the head.

The boy was something of a loose end in their plans, but it was better to have him under their oversight than Shin's. Time would tell if the boy would prove useful in any other way, however.

Kumori looked up, shortly after lighting his cigarette, as a strange person in a trenchcoat walked out of the shadows and asked if Kumori spoke English or Japanese.

"Go on", Kumori replied..

"I suppose I'll just get right to the point. I'm looking for information on the terrorists known as the Guyvers. You wouldn't happen to know anything about them, would you?"

"Who wants to know? From what I've heard... Chronos are the terrorists"

Kumori dropped his cigarette and stepped on it and turned towards Hyp3rB14d3

Finishing his book, Kenji put it down and took the next one off the pile. He was getting kinda bored, and no one seemed to be paying attention to him. Maybe he could get up and go get a snack before anyone missed him.

-Ah, so you're hungry, are you little boy?- Mr. Khan asked.

-How did you know that?-

-I've been watching out for you,- Mr. Khan said nicely. -I'll have some of our Zoanoids bring you something to eat.-

-Thanks, Mr. Khan!-

"That's...an interesting response, even if it doesn't make much sense. Why would Chronos attack themselves? They already control the world. They have nothing to gain from attacking themselves but enemies and internal strife. The guyvers are the anarchists trying to overthrow the world government. As for who wants to know, that has nothing to do with my question. But it also leads me to believe you know where they are..." As he spoke, Hyp3rB14d3 slipped one arm out of the sleeve of his trench coat.

Kumori listened, as this strange characters arm slipped out of his sleeve... Kumori didn't take too much notice.

"I take it you're apart of Chronos? You'd have to be brainwashed to have an opinion such as that one... "

Kumori moved his hands towards his belt, placing his left hand over his Katana and right hand on his belt.

"I am neither brainwashed, nor part of Chronos. But Chronos controls the world government, they are the world government. To seek to overthrow them is to be by definition an anarchist; to actively fight them is to be a terrorist. Who is right and who is wrong is irrelevant: the definition of the words stays the same. Now, do you know where they are, or not?" Inside his trench coat, Hyp3rB14d3's free hand slipped to the hilt of his sword.

"No one knows the whereabouts of the Guyvers... You should know if Chronos doesn't know, nobody does... after all, they are looking for them, and Chronos control the world government because they took over it in the first place... or did you forget this?"

Kumori turned and began to walk away, slightly turning his head back at Hyp4rB14d3...

"Word of advice, stop following me..."

"I'm willing to bet that they know..." Hyp3rB14d3 says before turning and beginning to walk away. He knows something... I'll start to walk off, then follow him from a distance.

Kumori walked off, as did the strange person he just met... Kumori sped up a bit, dashing from street to street and finally stopped as he saw a Chronos patrol of 2 men wondering around the area.

"Interesting... ", Kumori thought.

Kumori noticed the hiding zoanoid, obviously spying around the area for the location of Guyver 1, as this is where he was last seen. Silently approaching from the side, Kumori slid his Katana through the zoanoids lung, almost killing it. Kumori turned his head and grinned as the zoanoid was in shock, with its mouth wide open, gasping for breath, unable to make a sound. Kumori ripped the zoanoid up with a twist of his Katana and reflected half of the dead zoanoids body towards the Chronos patrol couple, as it disintegrated before them. They patrol couple were shocked, believing Guyver 1 was amongst them, when all of a sudden Kumori flew up above them, waving his Katana and slicing them apart. Kumori knew more Chronos troops would show up, as they would know by now that their scout and patrol couple have been killed... maybe this is a way to bring out Guyver 1... Kumori waited for the coming Chronos troops.

As Hyp3rB14d3 walked back toward the alley he'd approached Kumori from, Kumori suddenly took off. Crap, he's trying to ditch me! Running after him, Hyp3rB14d3 ditched the oversized trench coat to avoid tripping. However, as fast as Hyp3rB14d3 could run, Kumori was much faster, and it didn't take long before Hyp3rB14d3 lost sight of him.

Before long, however, Hyp3rB14d3 heard a shout, followed by the sound of metal tearing through flesh and bone. Grabbing his helmet, which he had attached to the harness on his back that held his sword in order to conceal it beneath the trench coat, Hyp3rB14d3 ran to investigate the noise. As he rounded the corner of a building, Hyp3rB14d3 found Kumori standing by the dissolving bodies of two Chronos scouts. Backpedaling, Hyp3rB14d3 disappeared back around the building. Crap, he's one of them. Or an ally. I hope he didn't see me. Without that coat, my green armor and blue wings might get me mistaken for a zoanoid. ...Those people's bodies were dissolving... Something's up with his sword.

He'd finished his food - a really yummy sandwiich, with milk and cookies - and now he was sleepy. Setting down his book, he curled up on the couch for a nap.

The sedatives had worked, and Imakarum's son was now completely unconscious. He'd be no bother to them until he awakened; their plans would not be hindered by him.
