gelionlegends Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 And by that oh reads is a Guyver unit that starts out as a basic standard Guyver but when the circumstances demand a new ability and/or power becomes available, like in the new anime series when Sho faces Vamore, that squid thing, and Zerebubuth, he learned to use the head laser, vibrational swords, pressure cannon and the mega smasher. So when something like that happens or the host is losing the fight/battle the unit unveils something new or an increase in power to help host survive the battle and win. Then once the unit has reached a certain level of say how far the present unit's power level can goto, plus current level it can boost the stamina, it goes through an upgrade granting a larger improvements throughout the unit and brings new hidden options. Though the unit does sound like it is evolving, which is a different idea, but in fact has been preprogrammed to unveil these new powers and abilities when meeting the requirements before it shows what it has hidden. As it has a lot of different tech implanted that either grants improvements on old or something new like HSL and as something is improved upon or new it then needs a better form to handle the needed requirements sort of like SSJ 1-3 you have to unlock and then the form is more powerful than before. Sorry, doesn't seem right how I am explaining it but think standard unit then say Turbo unit, Supreme unit, Battle unit and so on up to say Warrior combined Dark Nova and then an upgrade to Gigantic. But the last part Gigantic, Warrior and Dark Nova is a bit much so say just the first three of the Warrior project and part of the Nova being the final form of the self-upgrading Guyver, as this also give the unit a way to downgrade when too much damage is taken and needs to repair it. Though after looking at the data file this reminds me a bit or Angel Guyver, though that one has a broader range to upgrade to and is more like a set evolution path, plus the host doesn't change like the Angel unit's host does. So tell me would such a unit be possible to do so after a time the unit become more powerful and dangerous over time and situations the host get into. Quote
Juggernought Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 A Guyver can be capable of anything if you are it's creator and want it to have those powers....but anyway, to answer the question, in my opinion, a Guyver really can't change aspects of itself or gain new powers unless the power was there in the first place and the need to use it suddenly became available. It's just like Warrior Guyver in the beginning....he had no idea that he had the gravity shield and neither did he know how to teleport. With the gravity shield comes a multitude of powers and abilities...the host just doesn't know they are there. Similarly, if you have an old computer from say 5 years ago, you can't expect it to suddenly upgrade itself when a modern virus suddenly attacks it unless you first introduce new protection software that is compatible with that system. Within the series, those powers were already available to the Guyver, but Sho, not knowing anything about the Guyver just wanted more weapons/power and the Guyver sensed the need from its host and instinctively self activated its weaponry to protect him and itself...People such as Risker/Guyver 2 and possibly Agito, already knew most of the powers of the Guyver just by studying it and training themselves to push its limits. (Agito knew how to fly as well as using the pressure cannon before Sho did). The only Guyver that really comes close to doing what you are suggesting is Twilight Guyver. But even still, he was meant to be upgraded in small increments until he reached full power because he was the prototype. He has to defeat or assimilate components of the other prototypes like himself in order to achieve power. In GWOTG universe W'kar doesn't 'evolve' per say, he is simply healing himself and as more and more energy becomes available the unit heals and powers that were unavailable before due to the unit's powered down state then comes back online. Similarly what happened to Warrior Guyver in Time War. His unit reverts to a normal Guyver, shutting down nearly all of a warrior unit's enhanced powers and abilities to focus on healing the damage. And in Angel's case, the unit has a pre-programming to reach a certain level. The only thing that is limiting it is the host (who is being altered to accommodate the change) and available power. Kron provided the power earlier on when he blasted Angel with lightening and caused her to upgrade early to her current state. At this time the host was possibly advanced enough to withstand the change or the sudden boost in electromagnet energy forced her body to accept it at an accelerated rate. So ultimately no, I don't think a Guyver is capable of self adaptation. It needs to have further upgrades made for it, like Mark 2 or some other special components, the Kavzar system for example..... Or it has to be made with those enhancements already built in. Quote
*zeo Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I think you're forgetting the fan created character of Omega Guyver, who could upgrade his unit by adapting the technology of a more advance unit it may come into contact with. Matrix enhanced beings like Dreadnought are also capable of self upgrading, if Jason ever allowed it. But I believe gelionlegends idea could work along the lines of how Angel Guyver's Unit functions but in reverse. Say the unit was designed to optimize itself for the host but since a Unit can be bonded to any life form that the unit evolves itself to best suite the host and this results in increased capabilities over time. Though a standard unit does this instantly upon bonding, going with the same line of thinking as the Warrior Project we can say what if the unit was specifically designed as a weapon instead of just a universal space suit that became a weapon because of its human host. So say this unit is equipped with an adaptation bio-matrix that increasingly optimizes itself to function more as a weapon and enhance the host characteristics beyond the norm. Much like Mark II tech the technology should already be there but how it is applied could be the difference as the unit learns what works best with its host. Though consequently this may mean the Guyver losses some abilities as others get enhanced for traits that don't work best for the host. Essentially, just say the CM is given learning capability and slowly but surely figures out how to make the unit more of a weapon. Quote
gelionlegends Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 That's about right what I had in mind for the unit but where is the data file of stats and such for Omega Guyver as I'm sure I have seen it somewhere? Though in a way it sounds like the Reaper Guyver from GSF, though I wouldn't want to use such a unit like that as it would be way out of control getting really too powerful too fast. unit is equipped with an adaptation bio-matrix that increasingly optimizes itself to function more as a weapon and enhance the host characteristics beyond the norm. So would adding say the other projects data and tech to this AB-M give it a more larger range of choice already created but not used in said unit, so this way it just supplements the old and less useful weapons and as you said the unit loses something while getting improvements in others or something new? Though this would save on making and creating new things but then it could adapt what it has at hand to use but it still also sound like it has a limited reactive evolution ability. But still I am trying to think of a way that such would come about that's why I started with it being a standard powers and abilities that would later change, improve, or something new would come into the picture when it's needed and what the host has at its disposal is not enough. Putting it that way sort of brings in the limit of what the unit has access to besides evolving a new power or trait, with having something to take from leaves that out. Though adding a way to make changes for the situation does have an appeal from the data and tech. Do you know Zeo where I can find a good explanation on the HSL and CPM as the data files aren't that clear for me, or say focused as I need, as both sound the same to me? Quote
*zeo Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 That's about right what I had in mind for the unit but where is the data file of stats and such for Omega Guyver as I'm sure I have seen it somewhere? It's a fan fiction character and thus both its data file and stories are in the Guyver Fan Archive section of the site. Omega Guyver Data File So would adding say the other projects data and tech to this AB-M give it a more larger range of choice already created but not used in said unit, so this way it just supplements the old and less useful weapons and as you said the unit loses something while getting improvements in others or something new? Essentially, just have the CM upgraded so it can go beyond the default and similar to the Gigantic adapt new features. Much of the Gigantic's abilities for example are derived from the technology of the Relic added to the Guyver and some abilities like the Exceed are adaptations based on the needs of the host and the nature and capability of the Guyver technology. The limit of course will be the level of energy, the more it has the more it can do but without the Gigantic Power Amps or WG HSL the energy of a Unit is limited. However, if evolutionary based then the unit will have to work with what it has and so that will limit the adaptations it will be capable of. So you can say even if it has the knowledge of the technology it will need that it can't work with what it doesn't have access to. So like the Gigantic it may need time to grow a new feature (remember the Gigantic was Cocooned for about a year). Do you know Zeo where I can find a good explanation on the HSL and CPM as the data files aren't that clear for me, or say focused as I need, as both sound the same to me? The explanations are essentially simple on principle... The HSL is an advance form of the Guyver Bio-Boost. Normal Guyvers upon activation create a wormhole between the host and the boost dimension (this is seen as the blast field), where the unit is stored when not in use. So as the unit transitions into normal space and goes over the host the link provided by the wormhole infuses the Guyver with energy from the boost dimension. This energy is then supplemented by Gravity Control Orb that continues to siphon a trickle charge of energy from the boost dimension, thus providing a Guyver with a basic HSL so they don't need to eat to recover energy. But the rate of siphon is insufficient to power things like the Mega Smashers, so it take time to recover energy from using up that much energy all at once. For the HSL system, I took the concept from the fact that the Bio-Boost Organism that composes the Guyver unit can naturally bio-boost (access the boost dimension on its own). And simply applied it to the host in a system based on the unit interface with the host, via the CM. Thus providing the host with a full Bio-Boost not limited to just the Gravity Control Orb siphon. However with potentially unlimited power there has to be a regulation or otherwise the system would just draw power until it explodes. So the host is used to regulate the power flow by adjusting the flow rate to the tolerance level of the host. The WG system is primarily designed to make this process as efficient as possible, thus the reason for the 4 CM segment's to better regulate the power flow and allow the 4x power level. Integration of the system to the CM also allows the CM additional benefits like the ability to project its own shield and to auto teleport into hyper space. Essentially I took the Guyver's natural dimensional interface capability and expanded it to a more effective power system then the original system allowed. Also the same dimensional interface technology also grants the Guyver access to wormhole physics and as such the Guyver has the potential to manipulate dimensions and the energies involved in those manipulations. Thus I was able to grant the WG with the Gravity Shield (I'm a stickler for making logical sense ), which is derived from the blast shield, which as I've just explained is part of the Bio-Boost system. . . Understand so far? Now the CPM is just another derivative of the HSL system, which is why they are similar. Basically taking the same factors that make the Gravity Shield possible the WG2's CPM system creates a semi-stable dimensional interface with the boost dimension. In normal use this allows energy from the boost dimension to be directly siphoned and directed into a directed beam blast equivalent to a Mega Smasher. However, due to the advance power management feature of the WG design the host also can will control over how the energy is managed. For WG this is what allows him to focus his body shield energy to produce the Mega Pressure Cannon. The similarity of the CPM however to the HSL allows the WG2 to channel its energy internally and thus temporarily boost the unit's internal power to twice its normal level. However this basically means the WG2 is working at 200% when using the CPM's to boost itself. Like a human pumping themselves with stimulants, you get a boost but you'll eventually burn out. Though the WG tolerance is quite high so WG2 can keep it up for a fair amount of time, but not forever. So you can understand when I say WG and WG2 are basically the same, just optimized differently. WG for example can use the gravity shield to also boost himself but gravity energy is not the same as the raw energy provided by the CPM and so the results would be less efficient. However the Gravity Shield has a far higher maximum energy capacity and thus though WG2 would have the physical advantage a WG would have the overall raw power advantage. Similarly WGC uses the same technology to produce his Meteor attack, consequently showing how flexible and adaptable the WG tech really is. Quote
gelionlegends Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 The part I was more inclined for the unit was that it does have the designs, plans, and all that and can use some of them in the unit's present state but for anything major and such would use the cocoon like the Gigantic, though not for too great a time length as the Gigantic took to be made. Say the unit has some of the new features already there but kept dormant till needed, such as the stamina issue or a boost in power even for a short time, and such for the present level the unit's at then when the requiements, whatever they are, cause the Guyver to go into a cocoon state to make the necessary changes. Though unlike the Gigantic it would mean that the unit could go into the cocoon till it reaches its final level/stage or if the evolution or slight adaption ability to make alterations to the Guyvers presents weapons and such when needed would keep it changing. Though like you said about the CM would have to be advanced enough to not only handle the power demands but either activating the dormant weapons and use plus creating the extras or making alterations and such. Would more CM's increase the processing power and if such is so then what would the shape of the CM be as the Warrior Guyver has a four sided pyramid plus I forgot if the rings add anything to the power level or processing power of the CM? or would the CM's becoming more sophisticated improve its abilities can do like monocular circuitry along with bio-material like the armour to help it better? Thanks for the explanation, it helps a bit more with the HSL and CPM though I was going to make some comment on cars and a nitro to get to the same place but that's something for another time. So would that mean that basically the CPM is sort of like a reservior storing only so much till needed and then takes so long to fill before use again but also having a cut off to stop being used within a certain time frame, like not one after the other has just been used?
